[INFO][FIX] MIUI 2.3.2 Deep Idle Bluetooth patch - Nexus S General

I've recently moved to MIUI 2.3.2
I've noticed a small issue, MIUI 2.3.2 does not work properly with Deep Idle capable kernels.
so I've modified the resource to change the value:
from
<bool name="config_bluetooth_adapter_quick_switch">true</bool>
to
<bool name="config_bluetooth_adapter_quick_switch">false</bool>
I made this zip for personal use, use it at your own risk!
Use the recovery to flash it as usual, it 's my first mod so take a nandroid BACKUP first!!!
worked perfectly for me and now the Deep Idle runs in top=off mode.
the framework is in Italian Language but should work on 2.3.2 MIUI (stock and modded EN - CN) without problems.
I hope I will not be breaking the rules of the forum but do not have access development area.

plz let me know is it working in samsung infuse too

[ROM] killer23d's Doc Froyo BUJP8 v9.0.1 / ADJP5 v8 Captivate Edition - 11/30/2010

Updated BUJP8 v9.0.1 / ADJP5 v8 (11/30/2010)
This is a Captivate port from Doc Froyo. It is so far one of the cleaner vanilla Android 2.2.
NOT PERFECT!! Please report bugs! From now on, my focus will be on the Bell's version as it is more suitable to our North American Galaxy S. I will simply be porting the ROM over and will not test them extensively unless it is significantly better. I will attend to bugs if found. The reason behind this decision is that i9000 ROMs are not neccessary better for us because they are designed for Europe/Asia market.

I can do that or you can do that for me too... It's not really that hard, as I said, I want something as plain as possible.
Can we see some screenshots?
Everything is working without problems?
No problems transitioning from 850-1900 bands?
No FC's in any apps or processes?
Can you apply his tweaks from the OG post? IE- disable the increasing ring or his themes?
What tweaks are included? Is this a barebone version?
I like docs so work too. Good luck.
He has the power button mods to get to download, recovery, and reboot. Lost my battery mod tho.

The Battery Mod here SHOULD work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=818030
I can't test it though, YMMV. It's the Cognition-style battery.
And if it doesn't work, all you have to do is open that Battery_Mod.zip, take out the images inside the framework-res.apk, copy them into the framework-res.apk from the ROM, and replace it inside the battery mod .zip.
Well give out a try. I had the battery mod but lost it when I installed the power button mod.

Hmmm, try to give credit to the creator next time
I have this flashing addition, and the ROM is cooked for my convenience, I just post it so that those who like things bare can use it.
I have NOT tested this for every possible scenerios because I don't have 3G! If it doesn't crash or die on me, then I am OK. I am still new to this and learning.
This is quite barebone without TouchWiz. The only tweak installed is Voodoo, circle battery mod and HOSTS file. I try to keep this as simple as possible so you guys can add anything you like.
I may add Cog's style battery on the next release.
I have not get a chance to do screenshots, and will do it when I am updating the ROM when Doc_Kalpik has a new revision. It's not themed, so it's really stock Samsung like.
LOL.. Doc, I will put EVERYONE next time as I lost track.

DocRambone, I am sorry if I have offended you. What I mean by cooked is "put-together" with your work. I have already made it very clear in the post that it is from you work. I am going change my wording as of we speak.

JPM modem, and it is not modified.
I think it's a matter of asking FIRST, then porting it, and then giving proper credit.
Has anyone tried this yet? Is it fast? How is the Voodoo color fix? I've been super interested to see anyone post pictures of the difference the color fix makes!

Not sure why you are whining about this so much. Did he not state that he was using another rom and making modifications of it? Did you build your version from the ground up, or "steal" part of it from someone else then added your tweak? I am happy to see someone else getting into the cooking game and look forward to see further advancement on this.

Aight, well I just jumped on board, flashed this bad boy a little while ago and everything seems to be running pretty good. Haven't come across any issues what so ever, no fc's, etc. Of course I always flash back to stock, master clear and remove sim before flashing and pretty much never have any issues, but I can confirm this ROM is running very nicely. I wanted to try it for the voodoo color fix, but I dont have anything to compare it to until tomorrow when I get to work and put it beside my buddies captivate. Will report back then. Feel free to ask any questions if interested.
Color fix works on full brightness.

[ROM][May8][RC1.6] WebCM9 with Cornerstone! AOKP #34 Beta1 live! Now with Themes!

VIDEO REVIEW:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na-iugam4eQ&feature=youtu.be
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage to your device due to flashing this ROM! Flash at your own risk!
Special thanks to the CM9 team, AOKP team, and Onskreen!
Extra special thanks to zanderman112 for the video review and new screenshots!
This is more-or-less a straight kang of CM9 and AOKP for the HP Touchpad with Onskreen's Cornerstone baked in. If you're not familiar with Cornerstone, check out http://www.onskreen.com/cornerstone/
In a nutshell, Cornerstone is a Android modification that allows for true multitasking. Not the "Press the Back button to go to the previous app"-type of multitasking, but actually being able to have 3 applications running at once. Cornerstone utilizes the additional screen real estate on tablets to keep up to 3 applications on your screen at one time. It's kind of hard to understate what a different experience Android is using Cornerstone. Check out the screenshots to see what I mean!
Cyanogen himself is using it and loves it, and is trying to incorporate it into CM9, although there are some roadblocks: https://plus.google.com/u/0/100275307499530023476/posts/ViCME1bb8F6 Having said that, Cornerstone isn't perfect- there are still some rough edges to iron out, and porting it to the Touchpad was a little tricky, but it should be
BUGS:
- All the known CM9 bugs (i.e. no camera)
- Wifi is buggy for some (see comments below) (FIXED)
- Bluetooth (?)
- Recent apps out of focus in landscape (looking into it)
- Changing the DPI messes with the CSPanel (although the functionality remains intact) (FIXED)
- Videos will not run with the CSPanel active, you'll need to minimize it for full screen (FIXED)
- Some apps get "stuck"- either rotate landscape to portrait or vice versa, or close Cornerstone and launch it again (FIXED)
- The Home selection menu is buggy- working on a fix (FIXED)
- Probably others

Starting with RC 1.6, wifi issues should be resolved. Please let me know if you are still having issues though.
NOTES ON WIFI (PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING!)
Update- 4/24/12
Wifi seems to stay connected without Rohan's Mod- AFTER rebooting 1-2 times. Try this first and please report back. Also, wifi will get flaky again if you reboot to WebOS and back to Android. Again, you will have to reboot a few times or flash Rohan's Mod again.
Update- 3/19/12
Many users are reporting that wifi works for them after installing Rohan's Supreme Tweaks 1.5. If you are still having wifi issues, here is the link.
Others are also reporting alternate wifi drivers helped them with their wifi issues: Thread here, direct download link here.
3/17/12
So I have noticed there are a couple of people with wifi issues using my Cornerstone ROMs. I also had a lot of issues with wifi, mainly with it not turning on after a restart, or finally turning on and seeing my wifi network, but not actually being able to connect to it. It was frustrating. Wifi is the lifeblood of the Touchpad! So I read through all the threads and posts about wifi, trying a bunch of different things, but there was one fix that solved my wifi issues permanently, regardless of what ROM I used-I switched my router's wifi channel to 1 (if you have a dual-band router, switching the 5ghz channel to 157 also helps, to a lesser extent). After that, I could connect after each reboot without fail. So if you are having wifi issues, please try that first.
Now, I realize some of you don't have the luxury of being able to switch wifi channels (for those connecting through work or school networks, for example) and I feel your pain. So I've switched to the CM Nightly kernel. This is the same kernel used in the CM9 nightlies, so you should have the exact same performance. So until there is a permanent solution to the wifi issues for everyone, please bear this in mind and leave comments on whether wifi is working for you or not.
One more for the road
Sounds great man. Thanks for the hard work. Will test asap.
this is great and I appreciate the hard work, but it makes really appreciate webOS in the fact that apps on the TouchPad like Glimpse does just this and works near flawlessly... Glad you guys are incorporating these different items.
Looks very promising, nice work so far!

The "fix" in cherry kang makes things better but it is by no means a permanent fix sadly.

Whatttt, trying this at home in a few hours. OnSkreen was the next thing to look for.
edit: wipe data/cache or flash on top?
I just want to reiterate that anyone wanting to use this should probably read the google plus discussion linked in the OP for the very real concerns. I just want the end user to use this responsibly in order that we can continue getting cutting edge features added to our devices. Pay particular attention to the concerns expressed by diana hackborn and the founder of onskreen (forgot his name, but cant seem to reopen the g+ site at the moment).
Thank you and have fun!
This is a no drama zone. Thread cleaned...of bickering. Here is what you missed;
THE MIC IS NOT WORKING ON THIS BUILD...LIKE ALL THE REST.
Now, let's get back on topic.

Which build of CM9 was this based on?
This build seems to have killed my wifi totally - I can confirm after several resets via ACMEUninstaller and starting fresh with both Alpha 0.5 and 0.6 (Wifi both working fine, I don't recall any issues with Alpha 0 either) Wifi was working - able to connect and access wifi, I then booted into CWM and flashed this and unable to even turn wifi on. (To clarify, my latest test was: Remove Android via ACMEUninstaller, Flashed Alpha 0.6, tested wifi was functional, flashed cornerstone ROM over 0.6 - wifi broken, cornerstone functional)
It's a really tough choice - having cornerstone is really quite cool, but I can't live without the wifi.
Am I doing something wrong (Am I supposed to flash via cminstall/ACMEInstaller2?) or is anybody else getting this?

You're probably not doing anything wrong....my WIFI was almost useless with this build also. I backed it up so that I can easily restore for when the bugs get worked out, but I had to go back to the ClassicNerd ROM for now since it runs flawlessly for me.

Yes, there was a reported problem with Cornerstone keeping Wifi toggled on startup. I'm working on another build that includes the latest CM wifi fix. It should be up later today.
Newb here ... I don't seem to have the market app installed after booting up this rom. How would I go about getting this installed.

Wait, I thought you needed 10 posts to at least post in a dev thread, you only have 5 at this moment.
@antiphon
Which build is based off of? Is it strictly a 0.6a + onskreen or is it later than 0.6a + onskreen or is it closer to a nightly + onskreen? Kang seems too broad a description, it should at least mention the base, or when it was synced with the repo.

Sweet....will there be an update to the Cornerstone app included? The one from the current ROM had an issue with the lower side screen where the app overlapped into the title bar of the lowerscreen. Also, in the demo vid from Onskreen, it shows a button that allows you to swap the apps from one of the smaller side screens to the larger main screen...this feature isn't in the current ROM so was curious...thanks!
Watching this thread VERY closely! I am so glad I got my Touchpad when I did.

PREREQUISITES - ATTENTION PLEASE
a) ROM
Gingerbread 2.3.5 Stock Huawei version (B512, B521, B540, B552, B565, B572)
or any customized Gingerbread ROM (CyanogenMod, MIUI, 2.3.5, 2.3.6, 2.3.7)
or any ICS Rom (DZO Aurora, Genokolar MIUI v4);
b) Recovery
CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7
If you have the stock recovery, you will not be able to install any customized ROM. So, you have to do these steps: download the CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7 (previous link to download the file), power off your device and turn on into Pink Screen Mode (holding down VOL+, VOL- and Power button). Plug in your usb cable to your pc and wait for the automount of the new drive. Navigate to the /image folder and rename the stock "recovery.img" into "recovery.bak".
Now simply copy the CWM Recovery into the /image folder and be sure that its name is "recovery.img", otherwise you have to rename it into "recovery.img".
Unmount the periferic, remove the usb cable and extract the battery to shutdown the phone. That's all.
You can verify the new recovery installation entering in recovery mode (holding down VOL+ and Power button).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR FULL PACKAGE
0) Make sure that you have installed all prerequisites;
1) Download the zip file of the rom with your pc;
2) Shutdown your smartphone and to be really sure unplug the battery;
3) Insert your battery and power on your smartphone into recovery mode holding down VOL+ and the power button (be sure that you have the CWM 5.0.2.7);
4) Go to advanced ---> reboot recovery;
5) At the new recovery boot go to "mount and storage";
6) Mount usb storage;
7) Plug in your usb-microusb cable;
8) Copy the downloaded zip file into the external sdcard;
9) Wipe data/factory;
10) Wipe cache;
11) Wipe Dalvik Cache;
12) [OPTIONAL if you experience a huge battery drain only] Wipe Battery Stats;
13) Go to "mount and storage", then "format /system";
14) Install zip from sdcard;
15) choose zip from sdcard and select the downloaded zip file;
16) Install complete!
17) reboot system now.
Please wait about 2 minutes for the install process and be patient for the first boot.
At the first boot the default language has been set to English. This choise because the rom needs to be more international possible.
Anyway the rom is multilanguage and offers the default available languages of the stock Android base-rom.
The default keyboard is the stock Android Latin.

Thank you! I hope you try my rom, I repute it very very fast and stable.
I have tested B512, B540, B552, B565, B572, B866 (Honor porting), B872 (Honor porting), B876 (Honor porting).
I have always customed these official roms and I have to admitt that the latest B876 is the most powerfull, very stable and I am not finding bug at the moment.
I prefer to take the stock rom from the official Huawei zip and customize the content making a good working rom.
You are right, the anzhi forum is very rich of content, a lot of people upload roms daily.

Hi, at the moment ICS is not my "goal" because it is buggy (also for Huawei Honor). When time becomes mature I will port a good base from U8860.
In the meanwhile I hope to find better kernel sources, maybe specific for ICS, like 3.0.X kernels.
This is a full-working Gingerbread and it apperas bugless, it's ready for daily use.

3.0.8 Kernel in U8800 pro

The last 2 days I started playing around with Aurora rom both DZO's and Sakura's.
I was curious enough to try some "crazy" things and flashed some roms modded by me.
I tried the following.Unrared the DZO aurora rom and edited the updated script with notepadd ++. I changed the model from u8800 to u8800pro (you can copy-paste the 1st line which is what we need from a sakura aurora updater script) and then I rezipped the dzo aurora rom with winrar and it flashed normally.It even booted normally!
I also tried copying the boot.img from DZO release to Sakura release.Again the rom flashed ok.
But the 2 modded roms have these problems in common(other things I tried like camera,messaging were working normally):
1) No bluetooth working (it just writes turning on).Sometimes the phone reboots.
2) No wifi working. Same as bluetooth. Just turning on and phone reboots sometimes. Also tried with new wifi driver option.
I also provided a screenshoot from the second method I used(sakura rom with 3.0.8 kernel).
Anyway.Maybe the day that we can use 3.0.8 kernel in our phones isn't far away from us.Moreover it may also be possible to "port" the x5 aurora to our x5 pro without having to rely any more on the chinese guys(seriously I hate it everytime I flash a sakura rom that i have to change the language ).
Well hope that this thread will be the start for a better aurora rom for the u8800 pro
It is more safe if you dont unrar the rom. Just open in a window and drag n drop the files you want to change.
For the language, open the build.prop file and change the following lines:
ro.product.locale.language=zh
ro.product.locale.region=CN
to:
ro.product.locale.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
ela re patrioth
i know that I can change the language even before flashing the rom but that's not the reason I started this thread. I started just to prove that 3.0.8 kernel can also run on our phones because I have seen a lot of posts in different forums complaining about u8800 PRO not getting a 3.0.8 kernel release
Oraios...but can you fix those bugs or just post it here!!!
I tried to do it,but I failed.After some flashing I got a not working phone.
You can help me at this thread here if you like : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25748225#post25748225
Edit: Problem solved and phone working. But guess I will do a break after this little adventure and will start modding again in the near future.
Maybe it's better because aurora and the kernel will be even better then

You have to grab dzo kernel 3.0 sources, also extract the config file for 2.6.35 u8800pro kernel (with extract-ikconfig, using zImage from boot.img), and start compiling the 3.0 kernel generating modules for wifi&bt.
I'm also pretty sure that the non working wifi and bt have something to do with the modules (wifi is system/lib/modules I think) and maybe some init.rc and huawei.rc in the boot.img.
I messed a little with them and the results were not pleasant according to my above post. I will definitely try modding again in the future although
i think it would be easier to collect some money from all interested users and pay DZO to make 3.0 kernel for Pro users

[ROM Release] Huawei ICS Based on B927 (By Moihack - V2 version)[DSP Manager Enabled]

Hello there guys!
Today I'm presenting you with a modified B927 ICS ROM.
Let's see what changed:
Changelog V2:
1) Zeam Launcher replaced with Trebuchet Launcher(Official CM9 Launcher).
2) Added DSP Manager from CM9 and Google Music (huawei music player had issues on my phone)
3) Slightly modified media_profiles.xml for better video quality
4) Re-enabled fast-boot option & restart prompt at power menu
5) Changed minimum CPU frequency from 368 MHz to 245 MHz in order to save some battery.
V2 Installation:
1) Flash V1 by following instructions below in this post
2) Download Update_To_V2.zip and flash it via recovery
3) Enjoy The Changes!!!
Download Link V2 Update Zip:
http://www.mediafire.com/?uupg9v5wbv22tzu
Changelog V1:
1) Deleted lots of apps and stuff. Final rom size is 141 MB. You can flash this without repartitioning the system
2) System Language is English and doesn't change anymore automatically to mobile network's language (seriously this drives me nuts ). You can change system language from the settings menu as usual.
3) Default CPU Governor changed to userspace. System seems more responsive this way. You can always change it with an app like no frills cpu control.
4) Added Volume Rocker Wake & Search Button turns the screen on/off.
5) Added Init.d support
6) Unlocked FPS and Network Tweaks. Both are in the script called tweaks in Init.d folder.
7) Updated hosts file. No more ads in free apps.
8) Changed Default Launcher to Zeam Launcher. I know most people would want an ICS one like APEX or NOVA launcher but I didn't have much time to play around and see who is better. If Zeam doesn't suit your needs then install any launcher you want from Play Store.
9) Removed Fast-Boot Option and Restart option from power menu(will re-add them in the future)
Installation Notes:
Do the following:
1) Copy the rom .zip file to your sd
2) Go into recovery
3) Wipe data/factory reset
4) Advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache
5) Install .zip from sd card
Extra Notes: & Issues
Screenshots available in attachments.
Screen has visual artifacts in quadrant benchmark. This is due to fps unlock script. Other than that everything seems to work fine.
Download: V1 (see up for newer version)

Please Read!
I will be missing the whole weekend and won't have access to xda.
Port here your feedback and I will read it all when I'm back!
This is just a quick rom mod because I didn't have enough time today to cook it as I would like. I'm gonna make some more changes when I return.
what about incall volume?

as long as this one is based on broxnitas, any issues that rom has will also exist in this rom. I don't have any problem actually with incall volume,but I will test it more deeply after the weekend.
the incall volume is normal, but bronxitas is trying to increase it to the maximum level
free ram
hi, how many of free RAM do you have with this build?
thank you
Not Wifi again on U8800-51
I really do not understand and now I'm giving up. If I use the ROM Aurora_4.1_4.0.4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1532662), I have Wifi and not FM Radio. If I use your ROM, the Wi-Fi don't work ("Turning Wifi-On" and nothing) and the FM Radio works.
Any idea why this happens?. I tried to combine all files and folders that have a Wi-Fi relation, from Aurora to your ROM, but nothing.
Finally, I had to return to Aurora_4.1_4.0.4, I'd rather sacrifice the FM Radio to have Wi-Fi again.
Sorry, but I did not understand?
How do I install this ROM?
2.3.5 Recovery from or how?
Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343276. Volumen + - and Power, Pink Screen, then backup your 'Recovery.img' and replace with the new 'Recover.img' (CWM 5.0.2.7).
Good luck
I know how to put on RECOVERY 2.3.5
I wondered from 2.3.5 to install this ROM?!?!? Or?

Hello again sewa2k, wanted to know if it works the Wifi on your phone. I have tried every official ROM B927 and the Wifi don't works, but the FM Radio is ok. Only ROM MIUI o Aurora works perfect with the Wifi, but NOT the radio. If you have any information, I appreciate it.
Thanks.

How To Install:
You must be on 2.3 based ROM then:
1: You need to flash Step1 from official B926 for bigger system partition capacity
2. Download ZIP
3. Put it to external SD card and do it as allways, advanced>reboot recovery>wipe data/cache/dalvik cache>Instal ZIP from SD card>Choose U8800proB927CWMStockV1_1.zip
I was on ics so i had to flash the 2.3.5 first.then the repartition.zip,had to copy the cwm recovery again,and then U8800proB927CWMStockV2.zip

After installing the patch than anything else did, I followed the instructions step by step and the wifi still does not work.
thanks
We have the Huawei U8800-51, in Venezuela on several occasions the rom for the 8800 Pro also works for the U8800-51, but this time it is not, does not work on wifi, if you could help us we will work on wifi, eg in that of kalo (B876_KALO) we both work (data and wifi), if someone could make a patch that we solve the problem with the wifi or maybe have an idea to make the wifi work in the U8800-51? with this rom, it would be a great help for us in Venezuela
and thank you very much for such a great job
This is going to be a GREAT ROM if you put more time in it.
I haven't found any bug, but I'd like to do some recommendations.
First of all, I'd be great if SU was removed, and root access was given automately.
Secondly, I suggest the FPS is unlocked to 55 (sorry if it already is, it feels like it's at 45-50 sometimes).
Lastly, I noticed this ROM is not overclockable. Could you make it?
Thanks. I hope I see those improvements in the next update.
