Question about Android Market on the Arc

When I was using my GS 2 for a bit I installed the official Amazon shopping app. When I moved back to the Arc I could find no sign of it and I cannot think why it isn't available for the Arc. It made me wonder how many other apps do not appear for the Arc for some reason?
Both handsets are UK versions and both are running 2.3.3 so is this something to do with SE having their own channel in the market?

I'm having the same problem with my Xperia arc,
Some say the problem is from Google side, and the reason is to re-arrange the Market again

Do you mean Google need to rearrange the market again or its because they have rearranged the market?

I can't get a lot of official Google apps, like latest version of Maps. I'm new to Android so I have no idea whether it's a regional thing (Israel) or whether it depends on the device.

BTW can you please try to search in both market about the for example Whatsapp because it's not appear in Xperia arc market?

Some of the limits are indeed a legional thing, but I think some of it is limited by your service provider for a specific device...

Hmmm,
It's the same issue in the Arabs country, a lot of product isn't available in the market
but when I use the US market all is appeared normally
You can use the US market only if you root your device and install the market unlock

The limitation isn't by your service provider it's by regions
Because Google has create a separate market content for each region

the arc i had came with whatsapp pre-installed, the SE tab in the market says free but when you search for it or look under popular it is a paid for app! could this be a bug?

before updating my arc the Whatsapp application is pre-installed, but when I update
my mobile phone to the latest version [ 2.3.3 ] the application has been deleted,
and I'm not be able to find it in the market
also the problem is with all Angry bird version, it's not appeared at market !

Maybe the Amazon app is compatible with your GS 2, but not the Arc? It could be that simple...

Did the market just get updated or is there a problem

I was downloading a new theme for awd launcher when it just stop so I re opened it an every thing looks different ?

yes its the updated version of the market. its been out for a while now, guess it just took you a while longer to get the update

well i yet to get it official, though im using it via the apk. atleast now i can purchase stuff in local currency

Me neither, I never get the sms, tried like a million times...

Try in the morning ... I got my code within 10 seconds when I requested around 9 am.

downloaded installed and set-up without any delay, confirmation sms received instantly....
so - how do you add people?!

only problem for me no friends on it and I don't think there will be :-(

Android Market is now Google Play Store

Couldn't find my android market... was freaking out and trying to fix permissions, do searches, install different ones manually, but they would always disappear after a reboot. Did some research and come to find out that google updated it automatically and changed the name to Play Store in the app drawer.
I'm running aokp milestone 4, not sure if it will upgrade to this on other devices but yeah, if you can't find your market search for play store.

haha, I would think everyone would have [previously] Market on their home screen.. maybe not though.
And yeah, I believe every Google Market app will [if they haven't already] auto-update. It updated on mine, THS ICS 6.5

I think the name Google Play is lame and the icon sucks too.. Sounds and looks like a media player..

Google renamed it to brand the app store across all there divisions

I like the difficult version. The original, not a mod or a funny copycat. But I can see why somebody like to reproduce or change a success.

You can only see it because you had it installed. Log out of Google or open that URL in incognito mode, it's gone.

I had it installed once and I originally opened the link in Google play games. I can uninstall and reinstall it.. sent the link to a friend and it worked for him.

Don't have it installed I can install and uninstalls and install it as many times. It works.

I can open the link just fine. Google allows me to install it on my Nexus 7, which doesn't have the app currently installed.
