I've noticed my idle battery temperature is bit higher in GingerDX v22 than stock 2.1,
GingerDX idle - around 34C
GingerDX gaming - around 41C
Stock 2.1 idle - around 26C
so guys share your battery temperatures including phone status and rom you are using.
Thanks

Uhm, is hard to say but perhaps don't enter the room temperature in the measure ?
However I stay to generate a temperature graph of mine in the last week use and will attach soon in this post.

I just tried over-clocking my new Gene (P3400) today, and it feels good. I also saw that the temperature (shown by BatteryStatus) has increased from earlier about 27-28 to current 33, and its night and the weather isn't hot here (yet).
So I was wondering what's the average temperature you should be getting and where should you draw a line and decide to run back.
By the way I've tried to be in the safe zone and OC'd upto 247mhz only.
Thanks!
Mine is 46°C . I was using wizard befor trinity and the temperature was about 23°C. I am interested in your temeratures.
mine is 51°c idle. but if you're using BatteryStatus, i think there is a bug in it.
i can't believe the CPU runs at 50°c every time ! if it was so, it would burn our hands loooool
Maybe is there a bug in attery status, but i dont think so. This procesor is from samsung, in wizard is TI omap. Its to hot.
Similary is p4 ht 3.2 ( 48 C) and c2d 6320 (32). both are from intel , but the arhitecture is different.
Ok, now i know, that the mine is not overheated. hehe
what program are you using for temperature measurement?
batterystatus v 1.5 (advanced)
thank you!
i'll post my temperatures soon.
my trinity arrived yesterday.
i found my idle temperature ranges from 42 to 44°C as yours
after 4 test cycles with "pocket hack master" @400MHz temperatures increased by maybe 2-3°C... not much.
Battery Status show battery temperature, not CPU. Each Li-ion battery have diod that measure temp. This diod protects the battery from an overheat during charging. This temperature Battery Status is shows.
Sorry for my poor English. I hope everyone understand me.
Wrong value
Hi,
I think their is a probleme with the temperature driver.
I have seen the value go from 43°C (when cold and just start on a 22°C piece) to 28°C ( when doing heavy data download and feel the phone really warm in my hand).
Anybody have the same thing ?
PS : i use powerguard and wmwifirouter for checking the temperature
My N4 gets very hot and very fast; after just 4 mins of running stability test 2.7 CPU is at 74C and Battery at 45C...and google's answer was factory reset..... what should i do now? :'(
Note: I'm running stock rom and kernel...

stop running the stability test. thats what the stability test does. now all you are doing is pushing your phones cpu for no reason, and crying about its temperature. good grief!
But it is normal? I know it should get hot but not this fast.. Basically if I run any heavy game for more than 15mins it will get very hot......
Were you charging via usb/ac/orb at the time?
Nope, the idle temp of the CPU is ~40C and Battery is ~30C

its right in the middle of the normal range. sometimes it can get hotter, faster, depending how much you push the cpu/gpu. and it will coll down fast too. idle temp will depend on the surrounding temperatures. remember, human body temp is 37C, so 40C is just a little warmer than your body.
Hi as my point is my temperatures are really rising as I play sanandreas to 90°c is this hardware issue or battery problem as I had not changed the battery as far aa I know.. At now am using ressurection ROM 4.4.2 3.3-49kernel Perseus alpha 19 as my idle temperature is 51-55 is my idle temp normal? Or any hardware issue or battery problems?
Thats normal. When playing game, cpu will always run 1.2ghz-1.4ghz and sometime run 1.6ghz. U should undervoltage for overheat problem. Playing game reach to 80-82c (better than stock voltage settings). Now im using volt 15 (voltage settings in battery profile) and ale95 rom.

Wrong place mate. It's Development section. If you want to ask anything, then create a thread in Q&A section.
And regarding your problem, that's normal. Our chipset throttling more than another chipset while doing a heavy job. Also that's normal temp while idle.
Moreover, you're using AOSP ROM. This ROM made device work hardly for performance compared to TouchWiz.

What is the average temperature of CPU and Battery on your Z3+ ?
Mine is about 45-50 CPU and 42 Battery.
Could sometimes get up to 70 CPU and 47 Battery "Too hot for a short time at random times".
Battery life is about 4:30 SOT.
Is that normal for this device? What apps do you use to regulate the temp and increase the battery life?
Same with me on stock or custom 7.1.1
is your cpu 45-50c idle or when you are using?

it varies from 40 to 50 on idle.
However, it's summer here and temperature is kind of hot "About 42c"
I don't know if that's related.

yes, room temperature affects temperature of the phone on idle
I live in Turkey/Konya, idle temperature is low. But when I started to use the phone, it gets hot after 4-5 minutes later. Even though I am a light user, this heat and lag poblem made me hate Sony. I will never buy a Sony phone again. Some say new XZ Premium and XZ1 don't get hot so much but I can't trust them. If you have a Qualcomm Processor phone, heating becomes a scourge for you. I used and using Samsung Exynos phones but they never had so much problem about heating so much.
