anyone else catch this little golden nugget in reference to hands on with the LG Revolution and see it on the video. they did not say if its a streaming app or the one from the market that only lets you manage your queue but i doubt they would release a phone with an unofficial 3rd party app pre-installed on it.

Exactly. It's not the official app.
BTW the Thunderbolt RUU leaked and maybe a dev can look in the ROM file and pull the apk if it exists in that phone.

Most likely it won't be as good. The iPhone apps tend to be better than the Android version.

It probably has a bunch of deep DRM stuff in the ROM. I don't think it will be as simple as inserting DB file into a system folder.

I like the game but I can't see texts when they come if I'm playing. My notification light blinks and I have to ask whoever I'm texting to resend. I think it might be because of high minfree's. Happened on MikG and Synergy

Sounds like a pretty bad choice of name when you put it that way..
Odd branding change. If anything, I figured it would have been "Google Market". Going away from the Market (Marketplace) name could be a bad advertising drawback, as ads mention "Google Market(place)" specifically.
Not a big fan, but I guess it is their apps that we use.
The name change is to prevent lawsuits btw.

Old as in what? Someone in their 80's? Myself and quite a few others are grandparents on here...so what exactly did you mean?
I wonder if this will annoy Sony, considering they have an Android device called Play.
I just think the whole thing is jarring. The market app right now is telling me to 'play' a book. I don't think that word means what they think it means.

My market, music, books, ...all updated on its own in both my phone and tablet. Had to re-accept, clear cache and log back in and all is good. New icons and everything.

I picked up that Osmos HD for my tablet. That game is trippy. It is a monster though at 20mb but the graphix are really good on it.

I played that game til about 2 a.m. this morning. Way fun on the Tab.
For those who take issue with the name change, you are not alone... but Google did this for a much bigger reason that we can only speculate. I imagine they will be making a very large development that we will all like and forget that it used to be called the market.
Couldn't find my android market... was freaking out and trying to fix permissions, do searches, install different ones manually, but they would always disappear after a reboot. Did some research and come to find out that google updated it automatically and changed the name to Play Store in the app drawer.
I'm running aokp milestone 4, not sure if it will upgrade to this on other devices but yeah, if you can't find your market search for play store.

Google renamed it to brand the app store across all there divisions
