Android market sounds better than google play.. :/ why they changed name and its harder to find play store on app list thats app image is just like many other app. maybe il get it on time.

New market is good, not much improvment tho - but the cheap apps deal is really good, Osmos is well worth it for anyone looking for a great time kill game.

Have not had many problems with it so far..

It is very smooth on cyanogen. But i bet it'll lag a bit on sense roms.

Play Market, silly name. Sounds more like a toy shop.
I've had some problems connecting to and downloading apps using mobile data on Sandvold ICS. Using WiFi usually works.

Here is version 3.4.7 (just check OP's version 3.4.6).

That's exactly what I thought when the name and icon changed to "Play Shop" unexpectedly. I thought perhaps they were launching a seperate one just for games and entertainment, keeping apps seperate or something.

The new market is absolutely brilliant! Great smooth transitions and elegant graphics! ICS Style baby!

Why google play says "your device isn't compitable with this item" when looking Death rally (free)? Tried already to clear market (google play) data and cache but that didn't help.

I never use the app... web browsing is far comfortable to use and my apps are automatically updated. No lost time.
The only missing feature to the website is the installed applications on the device (from GPlay...).

but i have one problem, whenever i play the game and exit it, more than 10 mb is used by the app for cache !!

run run bear is a copy of this. This had been there from a few years now on iOS, finally on Android.

Find a good rom,like gs v2.3,flash it,then dont reboot.in recovery find the reboot in recovery option.select it,then go and full wipe again,except system this time(no.sd card ofc).flash perfectpeso v1.7 kernel and then start ur phone.you ll be amazed how smooth games will be even on 480-600 mhz.hope you ll try,good luck

It works for people in the usa at the moment, but if you install it in another country theres alot of stuff missing.Im in canada so im gonna hold off for a bit.

Canada is neat, eh?
I just downloaded and right away found a glitch. On the main screen it shows the apps books and blah but if you touch the side it has a seizure and starts moving left and right a million times. Really hard to explain.

This is new? My CM10.1 nightly, JB-4.2.2 skyrocket upgraded to this the first time i ran it weeks ago. But none of my <4.2.2 androids got the upgrade. I was assuming it was restricted to the new version of JB? I like it much better. Its simple, quick and looks boring, like it should. I will never miss the "keep shopping?" page!!! And lil Wayne blinged out on the home screen? Was googles lamest app by far! Im liking the new attitude much better so far.

Yes, it can be, so long as you're sideloading an appropriately signed APK (I'd suggest Android Police; they have a running list of them).

I hate to say this, but what exactly was the point of either of these posts? Neither answered the question (which takes about two seconds), and "sucks" is a huge matter of personal preference. Maybe OP happens to really like the new variants; either way, if Op wants to upgrade, that's their call.

Nothing in your post says what rom you use, let alone how you installed google apps. So it really depends. For example if you installed Slimbean + SlimGapps for example, your play store among other apps from that package will not update because they are modified from the official source, so there is that factor to consider.
