Requirements:
Market Fixer app installed
Faith and patience
Instructions:
1) go to manage applications in your settings, tap view all and force close "Market" (don't delete any data)
2) while still there, also delete "Google Services Framework"'s data and force close it
3) run "Market Fixer", tap analyze market links, select all of them and tap remove market links ONLY
4) go to "My Apps" inside Android Market and make sure there's a Retry button on the screen telling you it couldn't communicate with the server, if there isn't, repeat step 2 and re-check
5) re-run "Market Fixer" to be sure the links didn't get recreated, and if none appear, reboot
6) go to "My Apps" as soon as you boot completely
7) if previously bought apps appear on the list, go to the free apps category and install a new one (this will recreate your market's database with working information)
8) check "My Apps" one last time, all apps should be there now
9) if you want, reboot once more and go to "My Apps" again to make sure everything's in working order with your "My Apps" list
10) dance the macarena, shoot a few hoops or just enjoy your victory like i did
11) make sure you don't re-link those evil apps to your market so you don't have to redo all of this
***As you could've noticed, the idea behind the first five steps is to keep the market from recreating the links or having to clear the data for Google Services Framework many times (both happen when the market's still running in background).***
I've also used these steps with my Motorola Xoom Wifi and with my Samsung Exhibit II with more than pleasing results on each device... so please spread the word if this thread helped you or others 'cause I know there were a bunch of us with this issue.

The problem with that post and many others i found while researching, is that none of them actually worked on my devices 'cause the market and google services framework kept re-linking my apps. So i decided to try and mix all of the different methods i had found and came up with this one, which actually worked on all of my devices.
Man, I LOVE YOU FOR THIS! (no homo) I literally thought I was doomed when I didn't know how to fix that "My Apps" Problem. I even talked with a Google representative to try and fix the problem. Now it's all okay. I love you dude!!
awesome
this is the only method that give my 100% succesfull fix my market.
(sorry my english was bad)
Glad i could be of help to you guys, but i think this error is done for. Haven't had this problem since Play Store v3.5.15, apparently they now ignore the troublesome market links. Eitherways, it's a win for us.

Got my NI Adam today - rooted it and am running latest EdenX and new Market 2.3.4 from Notioninkhacks forum suggestion.
Apps like Dolphin HD, Last.fm, Facebook and GPS Status and Toolbox all don't show in Market. If I go back to my PC and log onto market.android.com I can locate the apps there but when I select "Install" my NI Adam is greyed-out and sometimes, like with GPS Status it'll say "Not supported on this device.." What's the use of having an Android tablet if you can't run Android apps???
I've looked here at XDA and on Notioninkhacks and have yet to see anyone post a working solution.
Can anyone here help?
Thanks,
Chris R.
No fix as far as I'm aware - I believe apps need to update to mark as compatible with large-resolution devices such as the Adam.
One way around it, though, is to download APKs and install them on the Adam from Dropbox/USB/etc.
Try this
If you are missing items in your market give this trick a shot:
Settings — Applications — Manage Applications
Choose All
Choose Market
Force Stop
Back out, choose Google Service Framework
Force Stop
Clear Data
Back out to the homescreen, run the Market (it should fail – that’s what we want)
Reboot
Wait at least one minute after the system boots up, then retry the Market.
A BIG "Thank You!"

You Sir are a genius!! Many, many thanks as this totally resolved my problem!
Kudos to you!

Hi folks,
Dont know what is happening here, but for whatever reason I cannot install any apps from AppBrain or Market.
This problem also exists or is consistent with no matter which ROM that I use, meaning if I use JoeStones, CM7, whatever.
Saying this, I what I can do is download .APK files or apps on my own webspace fine enough. Which then show up in downloads and install fine so just not sure why it is that I cannot install from Market or Appbrain.
The message I get from Market is when clicking install is: Starting Download
And that is it, nothing else happens and it seems to sit on that for endlessly so then cancel it and try to figure out why it wont download so I can install, hence which brings me to here making this post.
Any ideas or possible solutions?
(I have also used the reset factory after doing previous installs with no effect)
Folks, I finally found the answer to my problem to the questions I asked.
For the sake of others whom come across the same problem ever, in this instance it may have something to do with what Modem/Router/Firewall you are using.
The case for me I am using a Billion modem router with firewall set to high and discovered I need to allow TCP port 5228 allow outbound traffic to the exceptions or rules.
This then allows google talk to start straight up and downloads just flew down over my WLAN where I use my phone.
Sorry for all the previous questions or posts, but I never knew that Market downloading was on a Port related task basis.
Good luck to others whom also come across this issue.
Cheers
Same Problme for me..I am using GPRS only how to solve my Problem...
Hi there,
my problem is that I can't download some apps from market. These apps are large (like Angry Birds or similar, bigger that 15 mb). When I try to download a notification appears, which tells me, that it's starting download and then it disappears. And with smaller apps like translator or astrid task list I don't have any problems.
It started about 1-2 weeks ago.
The problem isn't in my network connection - I disabled firewall (droidwall), checked if app will be downloaded on gprs/edge, 3g and multiple wi-fi's (included hotspot made by my friend from his htc, which downloads apps).
I looked over the web to find the solution and here's the list of what I've tried:
1. Log in to gtalk while downloading.
2. Delete market cache.
3. Delete market data.
4. Delete download manager cache&data.
5. Unmount SD card while download is starting (and mount it back).
6. Uninstall market updates.
7. Make '.cache' folder on sd card.
And it didn't work. I didn't try to use factory reset, but I believe you'll find the solution (btw what does factory reset delete?).
Please help me, because I simply don't know what to do next.
Ah, and last thing: I use Android 2.3.5, swiftdroid 2.0 rc4 (based on cyanogen mod 7.1.0 RC1).
Which is the best rom that supports all the things????with out market android sucks
I've had my Note for almost 3 weeks and have been fiddling around installing and uninstalling stuff both from the Market and also from Samsung. Today I found an app listed as installed on my device and linked to the Market and I have no idea what it is, how or got there or how to remove it. I think it might be a Korean keyboard, at a guess, but I certainly didn't knowingly install it and I want it gone from my list of apps in the Market. The option to uninstall from within the Market is not offered.
https://market.android.com/details?...1bmcuc2VjLmFuZHJvaWQuaW5wdXRtZXRob2QuYXh0OSJd
It's possible it got linked to the Market when I used Titanium Backup, in the hope of improving administration of my device, but maybe my enthusiasm has backfired on me. Trouble is, since the app is entirely described in foreign characters I don't know where or how to find it using Titanium or anything else in the hope of remedying my apparent error. Any ideas? Thanks.
I might add that I even factory wiped my device, and after initially syncing my account again this wretched thing was once again listed as installed in the Market.

Heaven, Earth is a Hangul input method.
※ How to Install
1. Marketplace> "Heaven, Earth, Samsung IME" search> download and install it.
2. Select Menu> Settings> Language and Keyboard> Samsung keypad to select it.
3. Press and hold in the text input window> Input Method> "Samsung Keypad" to select.
Target Model: Nexus S
You can copy the characters to find it. Between root explorer and titanium backup you should be able to eliminate it. Knowing that it is a keyboard you should be able to locate the files and remove the appropriate ones. I was able to locate this in the market. The app name is 삼성 천지인 입력기(Nexus S전용). Use this name in your searches by copying and pasting.
Thanks for the detailed reply. It seems that Appbrain has a better description for it than the Market. It is the "Samsung Keypad". I've now located it with Titanium and unlinked it from the Market, which is all I really wanted to do, as I did not like seeing it listed when I was checking through my installed apps list.
At least it isn't some malicious app that sneaked onto my device through any of my butter-fingered fumblings.
Axon 7 A2017GV1.0.0B8 <---this morning.
I have some pro apps that costed some money.
Now they don't work - phoned the seller and he said something that I had to update the phone to something "above ver. 5".
Ranting around the intern I found this very place. Generally said I know nothing about axon 7. Only howto use it - that is!
However after studying this place reading I found a download thread with all sorts of downloads.
...reading....reading...daring to download an A2017G update with B8 assigned - the latter i supposed to be the sign for the firmware version. Per instruction i placed it in the root and renamed it to "update.zip". Opened phone with "upper sound and on" at the same time and went to choice "update from SD". (Thought now I'm bricking my phone...huhh...).
Viola - it updated nicely - I was kind of happy - however it was just a minor update to MiFavor 4.2 ZTEA2017V1.2.0.B8 from my MiFavor 4.0 (bought that zte when it hit the market).
So - it's not enough - I must further up. There are Nougats etc.
Now can You help me point out in the ZTE 7 file to download a stable more modern version that might have that magic "5" the seller talked about or higher that I can install the same way as I did above???
Or is it a new phone with more power than this three years old ZTE?
And, hallo, I do not want to fiddle with the TWRP and ADP thingy. To much for an old man.
If You can direct me right and my apps works I'll offer You an virtual Dry Martiny!
Sorry If I'm out of date!

Application are normally updated from the google play store this may be the place to look if you're interested start to figure out how android smartphone work look at YouTube stuff.......:good:
First of all, I had no idea what the seller is on about with "update 5". The adviser you spoke with may have been misinformed.
Your android version is 7.1.1 now and the MiFavor version (ZTE's variant of android) is 4.2. (these are the latest for the European version of the phone that we have)
What you have is good enough to run absolutely (well, almost absolutely) any app on the store.
The has been a problem with an update to the play store app itself that broke many paid apps.
Please try updating your google play store version following these steps:
-Open the settings menu in the Google Play Store app.
-Scroll all the way down.
-Tap on the Build Version section.
A new version should be downloaded and installed automatically within a minute or so.
Please let me know if this helped. We can explore other possibilities should this fail.
Njes....
....app is an encyclopedia ""Birdlexicon" normally a thick book for us birdwatchers.
Others have the same problem on Android - have heard one nerd solved it by his son. App originally written for iPhone and then transferred to Android. It's updated as seller said for "newer versions of Android".
OK - I'll fück my ZTE-Axon 7 and do as he said - buy a iPhone on the net. He had one to sell.
Tired of this thing now!
OK - waiting a day or so to see if here is an answer on this my very my thread if I can update that Axon 7 without men in white frocks. My Axon seven is anyhow over three years old.
However my own studying needs some answers.
1/ Every hardware now has a firmware. That firmware should fit an OP-system.
2/ What firmware do I have chances to be updated and/or to fit an updated OP-system
3/ What more new OP-system fits within does my old ZTE Axon 7
----> can I take any file-downlod there (on the file download center for zte axon Axon 7 and install it without bricking on the way or with my knowledge have to toss it)
To the bin and be happy?
It will be an Iphone that fits my apps - whatever version.
Will search ads - to old - no more works with 01-bits and curious apps and to many tips an tricks with in the heaven progs. made by people who cant describe what it does - just says it does.
Anyhow - thanks for Your answer, pal!

Some sort of problems after updating. I cannot bin many of my apps.
"Cannot delete system apps"?????????????????????
Bin seems partly gone.
OK - tried your suggestion - however not as told - did not work. However in line drop down in app store menu there was a choice "settings" where i clicked here translated "version of Play Store" - told me I had the last version 10.6.08-all. ...then [0] [PR]...200628961.
Tried to bin it - I was stopped as it "was a part of system".
Thought I could reinstall it after removing it in order to refresh the install of the play store.
Thanks Pal!
Any answer is appreciated!
No worries if that did not work.
Let's try to refresh play store after the update. We need to clean all data and cache for the play store application.
Step 1: Head to the Settings menu. This can be done by tapping the cog icon in your notification shade.
Step 2: Find Apps in the menu, then locate the app that you want to clear the cache or data for. (In this case it will be called "Google Play Store"
Step 3: Tap on Storage and the buttons for clearing the cache and app data will become available. Tap on the first option "Clear Data"

Did that! Then repeated what You directed me to do in the earlier post.
No progress!
Are You aware if there are other hopes?
How old is Android 7.1.1?
Ok, so far I worked on the presumption that your paid apps do not work because of the license issue from Google.
Maybe that is not the problem here.
Can you please describe the problems you have with these apps in more detail?
Please quote any error message you get from apps, or if they crash outright.
As for how old android 7.1.1 is, it was released around Dec 5, 2016
Partly solved.

Now partly solved thanks to Your method on Google Play Store.
Did the same with the "problem app" Deleted cache and memory.
Was warned sincere that I would lose data and own notes, places etc.
But what da .... if it didn't work.
Restarted the app - took some serious time on first start to show up.
(building new databas, organize and download i suppose?)
The app then started as it was just bought - that is "how I wanted things" settings etc.
Lost however two years of field notes and other things. Sad!
OK - I have some left in my brain - and I'll use a separate note book in the future. Not handy however more secure. I have the app (paid version) "MyBackup Pro" - made a full backup is in "Reware" cload" - however that might be a tough problem to sort things out there.
OK - now the app is rock an rolling.
I'll start over again. Not paying for a new phone....
Thanks pal - Your methods did it!
Hey, I am happy to hear that you resolved the issue. I am very sorry that you lost all your data though
For written notes I can suggest the free app "Google Keep". It saves your notes on your Google account and you can access them on any phone or computer where you're logged in with your Google account. I have used it for a few months and I'm happy with it.
It may be worth contacting the customer support for the application you had and ask them if they keep a backup of your notes and if they may be able to help you restore the notes. I would not have high hopes for this but you have nothing at all to lose if you ask them.
Cheers!

Have already written them on that matter - and "how come"
I suppose when the app was updated saved data and cache was incompatible.
That is a big blunder from them.
Otherwise it's a splendid field app worth every penny!
And You pal - thanks for directing me and kept my mood up!
From here on - life continue!
And next phone will be a well known costly phone with da powear and well recognized - that is supported higher up in the chain.
Hate that - I want to support the "outsiders".
I'm an old Linuxer/Unixer - now however now I'm forced into that "Windows" by a dual boot strap. That IS not good for future!

Hi,
Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra Europe exynos sm-986b debloat/decrapify (Switzerland/Swisscom).
I'm starting my journey to debloat that phone which is entirely unusable for me, due to the unwanted presence of hundred of junk apps.
After realizing that I was not using a data cable but only a charging cable (computer not having usbc, I had to use another cable than the official one). I manage to get my bearings a bit.
So the connection is sorted out (out of topic), now start the actual decrapifying:
1) I used/will use this program, to list all programs:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...easy-management-android-applications-t4147837
Note: I could have used adb directly but this seems easier, especially as we talk about hundred of lines.
Note 2: each time I installed "ACBridge" which appears to show nice icons for that program.
2) I have compiled a list of applications currently installed. I did not install anything manually myself yet, not even connected to Android Play:
442 apps by default.
https://gofile.io/d/xGHoff
Note: Are some of these apps only specific to my seller and my region? It's possible, since the phone clearly had some of the FYI operator branded options installed.
3) I'm going to factory reset now. Again, nothing was really installed, just official rom updates done. But I want to start from fresh.
4) After I will reinitiate the phone, I will redo the list of applications capture, and start trimming down.
5) After the factory reset, it seems I had a new screen (unless I skipped it by mistake last time) proposing me to install additional apps like spotify, linked in... I refused this time. Last time I had the apps installed maybe a mistake click, or something new thanks to newer firmware.
6) Use the program again, I now have 429 apps only instead of 442.
7) I tried the list mentioned a starting point, I will look into this user list, allegedely 109 apps removed from a S20 (which is a different phone, I know):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-windows-adb-appcontrol-v1-4-5.4147837/post-83980273
First that only has 104 apps over 109.
Second, I found a few items I wanted to keep and a few I wanted to remove.
Customization Work required here...!
Caution: the list of 109 items contains what is described elsewere as dangerous:
com.samsung.android.authfw ; Not Recommended: Used for password autocompletion, can be removed if you don't use it. This app is sometimes called by the system and might cause battery drain if removed
com.serv.android.preloadinstaller : App that install other application, do not remove!
I will check each non-obvious items.
This list seems more pro:
Samsung full apps list
Feuille 1 LAST UPDATED 01/09/2022,Reinstall an app using pm install-existing [the app package],Enter in shell using adb -d shell before running the command,Enter in shell using adb -d shell before running the command,<a href="https://docs.samsungknox.com/CCMode/G988B_Q.pdf">https://docs.samsungk...
docs.google.com
I made a custom preset with the 85 items in the list of " Safe to uninstall ". Only 71/86 where showing, some I wanted to keep like Android Auto.
--> I seems to have to choice but start from a bigger list and go through it myself.
After checking each items of that 109 list, vs the spreadsheet and sometimes google, I actually ended up reducing the list, or keeping more items. My final list is currently 68 applications to remove.
I also removed additional things like Netflix.
FINAL LIST:
Samsung SM-N986B_[All]_presetJSDec2020.txt
In the process I learned that this list seems rather personal to do. Yet, some items are marked not to be removed due to battery drain, so the initial list of 109 seems risky. I would say some manual work is mandatory.
8) Moving on, time to uninstall. Done.
9) Time to configure the basics again (basically language, etc...). Done.
10) Time to migrate data from old phone to new phone, I used "Samsung smart switch" app, installed it on both phone, used wifi, and unselected unwanted things. Done after some 1-2 hours (not so much data but it was slow and I interrupted twice).
11) Now the phone looks ok, a few apps had to be manually reinstalled like MCDonald's crapp.
12) Time to recover authenticator, relogin to apps, etc...Some apps I can't do now like RSA token, needs to regenerate a token elsewhere. GoogleAuth was simple, I could easily export from old phone/import new phone..
13) Phone works for now. I see I missed to remove some stuffs like "My files" which was basically simply like file explorer but from Samsung. That was indicated as "not remove" but probably can be ( com.sec.android.app.myfiles ).
Edit: day +1 after the step 13. Phone works properly. No visible impact on battery drain (seems high, as usual and with little usage overnight, same as before any intervention from my side). Unable to continue anything for now, being ill. Everything seems to work, even without the stuffs I removed.
On that note, I got rid of youtube and yt music, and installed YoutubeVance.
I tested the basics (phone, camera...) looks ok.
Note: this is WIP and more sharing the journey, as well as learning. Usually I would unlock bootloader, root, and install a decent ROM from XDA; but not happening this time.

Glad that could help- The tool from Cyber Cat and the threads are useful. Yet I saw quite a few tools/options around.
The idea was to share the experience of using one, do some sort of decrapifying/debloating and comment.
For me even if I expected a bit that, I was a bit surprise that this operation needs a lot of customization.
Let's say it was easier to start from a fresh Android ROM and add some selected Google apps, rather than trimming down that Samsung junk (That something I usually do with custom roms, here I stayed with official Samsung ROM, so I did not have that possibility to start fresh).
I see Android 11 update should come soon (around January 2021?).... I take it that they will reinstall all their garbage in the OTA update... And we will have to decrapify again!?
Yes I guess for a major update it will maybe reinstall crap like "tips" from Samsung. But i've done this using beta4 OneUI3.0 and it work very well

Not sure what is "hey google", are you talking about "Google Assistant"?
Anyway, usually clear cache, not uninstall/reinstall...(then clear data when sure what you doing...)

The assistant is inside the google app. Clear cache I have try but didn't work. Thanks for the help
The phone shown me an update yesterday (01/01/2021), OneUI3, Android 11.
It updated without any issue, and all my apps and things are properly there after.
One strange thing is it was allegedely updating 470 apps on my phone, I don't remember having so many.
Another thing to notice, is that I did not notice any new garbage apps after the update. For example, some emoticons junk was not reinstalled. Also, the default keyboard remains Gboard, like I set myself before the update.
Anyway, time to check now, in details.
Verdict: # Total applications: 421
Some junk have been installed again during the update. (after my previous cleaning, I was at:
# Total applications: 361)
I don't see the same type of junk as it was before, like Netflix apps, Bixby...etc... So it's rather strange.
One horrible app I found is "eBay Partner Attribution". What is it? Affiliate marketing is a referral program where sites pay commissions to affiliates who send traffic to their site that results in a sale.
Well done Samsung, installing junk to get additional money...
App killed on sight (com.ebay.carrier).
I also removed com.google.android.videos.
That will be all for now, don't have the time to do better.
Is it really safe to debloat all knox related stuff? just asking if it helps anything?

I think knox junk tripping is only if you replace your bootloader:
Knox
I think removing the apps only is not tripping it (anyway, if it is, my phone is fine without it).
It depends what you mean "safe" anyway, if you are talking about some features that might not work, or a broken phone for example.
Thanks, im not sure if you should put the Knox app in the safe list.
