JSR-82 (java-bluetooth) Possible for hermes?

Hi all,
I have done some searching from the forums about java using bluetooth and did not find anything. This is my first post here so blame it on my noobiness if I just missed it.
So.. what I understand (and that is not much in win based mobile devices at this point) the JSR-82 is a some kind of a "framework" which enables java to use bluetooth in applications. I have been trying to use some java applications meant to be used with bluetooth, only to find out that it is not supported with hermes (HTC Tytn with win mobile 5.0 to be more accurate.)
Now I am asking you is there any way around this and is it possible to get this JSR-82 whatever working with my tytn. It would be nice since it would enable the use of java based chat applications and such, which are using bluetooth. Java for that reason that then I could run the same applications as my friends for example with sony ericson.
Sorry for my bad language and bare in mind that this is my first post. thanks for all the answers and have a nicest day!
Sincerely yours,
Henry
No one else wants to use bluetooth functions thru java? or am I missing something critical here?

need some advice on development SDKs

Hi everybody,
I am looking for sdks/tools/ ... for mobile development.
e.g.
- sdk like the flash player sdk (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_sdk/),
to integrate flash functionality into own applications, has anybody used it?
- are there any sdks that provide advanced multimedia functionalities?
(e.g. access to build in cameras and convertion functionalities)
- or recognition tools speech recognizers, synthesizers ...
- or cool graphic libraries
- or sip and IM functionalties
I am willing to spend some money to get the best software,
my target os is windows mobile
would be happy to get some feedback on what is currently available and used by experts.
thanks
p.s.
currently i am using visual studio 2005 for development.
try the wm6 sdk's

Visual Studio Standard Edition

I am using the VS 2005 pro trial and need to purchase something but don't want to buy pro if standard does what I need. Does debugging on the target work for Standard edition?
I know there are other tools besides the latest Visual Studio and would be happy to use them but the company I am working for insists I use the latest Visual Studio.
EDIT: found my answer here http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=9593&SiteID=1, the answer is yes if anyone but me cares

QT for windows mobile 6.1

Hi guys
Im a student in ICT and I'm starting to get to know qt a bit now.
I'm able to develop desktop applications. And now I would like to develop some applications for my SE xperia x1 with QT.
Anyone can help me getting started. Because QT creator doesnt support mobile yet I'm having some problems setting everything up.
I'll probably have to use visual studio so I allready installed it.
but wich SDK do I have to download? and how do I set my compilers to compile for windows mobile?
I allready searched the internet a bit but I just can't find a good tutorial or how to.

Click to collapse
IIRC NuShrike has ported QT to WM, but I think he has left WM in favor for Symbian...
