Ram on ec09. - Continuum General

Hey guys I was wondering how everyone is doing with ec09. Here is what I got it too. I havr mine down to 108 after a lvl 2 wipe. ^_^ that's with zeam launcher, facebook, xda, and a few other apps installed. I would upload the screenshot but xda app isn't liking the file type. Lol
Sent from my SCH-I400 using xda premium

that's pretty low.. i got it down to the 124mb area with my ec03 build.. how is it before you clear the ram? that's what matters.

Running idle it bounces beteeen 175-210. Depending on What're I have had opened
And with just the launcher running its low to mid 130s

Using the deodexed debloat rom from pattielipp I constantly hover around 200. Haven't replaced the stock apps yet.

I am running 170's at the moment.... EC09 deodexed, debloated, all my apps installed

Apex 1.3.1 question

So I'm really liking this apex rom I flased...but I noticed that sometimes my phone gets hung up on the lock screen sometimes, its even had to reboot...has this happened to anyone?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Im not sure if this is a result of apex alone, but im running the 2.3.15 OTA and part of how the OS frees up memory when it gets really bogged down is to reboot. This happens to me prob once a week when I am using the phone pretty heavily
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Well, my exp apex is the best among other rom, but i did exp lag or system force close sometimes.
Compare to other room ( i try fussion, rubix, bazinga or i forget the name, every rom is not as perfect as stock blur rom.

I have absolutely no issue like that.
What rom did you come from?
Have you checked to see if you have something maybe running in the background taking alot of resources?

Are you using ADW by chance? It's been kinda laggy for me recently.
I've had that issue with v2 and v3.
Its only when using ADW for me though. All other launchers are smooth.
Its like a slightly lower framerate while scrolling side to side. Using ADW on other roms its very smooth.
Somehow adw doesn't get along with biwinning on my phone...
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
no i was just using the stock Tw Launcher that flashed with it. could the lag just be from touchwiz?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i didn't have lag with either of the stock options on v3. still put launcher pro on right away though..
I had that lag as well with v3 but v2 was flawless. I'm also having some odd GPS issues so I just flashed back to v2 to see if I can pinpoint the problem.
ill prolly just follow suit and flash back to v2. cuz i really like bi-winning

I'm also curious as to whether this will work well on MIUI.
Has anyone have a chance to try this out?
MIUI Users who're willing to test this out?
LOL.
I think it's bad for those who already have some extra scripts in the init.d.
It might causes some scripts to be malfunctioned.

UPDATE: Ok Flash it and successful phone becomes more responsive and smooth in my perspective I flash it while on ext4 lagfix have not tried it on rfs partition. i deleted all the files on the init.d folder except the s_volt_scheduler.
So far loving this tweak! Cm7 nightly build 104

I'm on miui 1.9.2 and decided to try. Removed my v6 supercharger scripts first and no issues so far. Neocore shows FPS at 48.8. A little low compared to what is mentioned in the op. I cant remember what the other popular fps test is. I think what needs to be mentioned is what this does differently fromthe supercharger script. What would make people want to use this beyond a flashable zip file?
Glitch kernel let me OC to 1.4!

Freaking nice tweak! What little lag I had is gone. This thread should explode. I'm running Apex 9.2 with xcals 2.1 kernel OC'd to 1.2, using Tegrak's OC. My cappy is screaming. Virtually no lag now and decent battery life.
Thanks!
How do i wipe the init.d files? I am running Cognition 5 v2
Thanks

[Q] What ROM are you running

Since the DX is pretty old now are there any dev's still making new ROMS for this device? Also what are you currently running ROM/Kernel wise?
Developers are very active with the Droid X.
On mine, I am running MIUI v4.

Stock ROM. It has its issues, but I've heard of worse.

I've tried most of the ICS ROMs for the Droid X. I really like them, but my battery life isn't as good as stock with them. Of course the 2 year old battery is about done for anyways. I'm stock .605 rooted right now. It's my fall back, safe ROM.
Running cm9 with the cm9 kernel works like a charm!

Once the source code is released, developers will probably start work on porting it.
My guess is it shouldn't be incredibly difficult for them, since it's just an incremental update.

Jelly Bean RAM Hog

OK guys after spending two days with the new Samsung official software I was wondering if anyone else thinks that its a RAM hog. I have to keep killing the apps in the task manager otherwise I see lag while opening apps and things. Anyone else think this? Or could this possibly be because I quickly loaded about 40 apps onto the device? Any thoughts? Personally I hope Samsung will just improve and mature the software and it will get smoother. If not I might grab one of those deodexed ROMs.

I heard that Android loads apps in RAM for faster use unlike Windows. So if you close them, it loads them again, and that causes more bettery use. So why don't you try the phone without closing apps and compare which works better. Some poorly written apps cause lag and consume alot of system resourses. They should be closed and better be uninstalled.

Get OMEGA 27. It is very snappy. Make sure you do a complete wipe meaning formatting system and reinstalling all your apps.
It is very snappy. Do a custom install and choose to install or not install V6 SUper Charger which always leaves 200 mb of free ram. Your phone won't multitask as well but it will keep everything fluid.
Although I optioned not to install V6, and everything has been perfectly fine.
YOu can always install or uninstall mods thanks to OMEGA FILES that comes with the phone. Highly recommended.

I just did a Google search of it and it seems that the quadrant score is fairly low and about the same as stock? Is that true and reflective on the ROMs performance?

Why are you worried? I stuck with Omega 13 for months. You should only force an update if you were:
1. Trying a test rom and then official came out.
2. Or if it has problems and a X.1 version came out.
Omega only updates every time a leak rom appears but that doesn't mean you have to update.

I haven't checked quadrant but the point of Jelly Bean is that it implements a better use of a GUI than ICS. So quadrant isn't going to take those kind of things into account.
Omega 27 is working better than Indies last ICS for me which was 13.1

quadrant doesn't mean a thing about how snappy the rom is.
Uninstall quadrant as it serves no REAL purpose.
stock odexed here, just cleaned up 300mb of bloatware. RAM at the end of 2 days is 600MB used, didn't cleaned up RAM. You better don't cleanup, it will just piss off the apps and will consume more juice.
