I have a pioneer head unit in the car with USB compatibility that works with iPhones, iPods and blackberry's as far as I tested, I just cant get it to work with the tablet as it would initialize MTP and the head unit would display "Device not supported".
I figure since older and newer blackberries work with my head unit, its a software on the device itself that allows that compatibility. I have WiFi access in my car and mounted the tablet for music and GPS navigation. I'd like to use the head unit to control the music while driving and using GPS, but cant seem to find the option anywhere or find applicable software that would make it work.
Any suggestions regarding this?

This unit is the same as pumpkin RQ0255 unit. There is more information available from their support page and is directly applicable to the Naviskauto unit you have.
I installed this unit with a Metra dash kit into a 2003 G35 Sedan with Steering wheel controls (kit required) / the stock Bose amplifier (audio interface kit required) / and reverse Cam. All the functions you want are available. I assume you want to connect iphone/ipad via bluetooth , it works but the bluetooth interface for music isn't great , and maybe a 3rd party app is available. There is an "IPOD" USB connection through a 30pin connector. (Overall, music quality is very good but not as good has name brand head units for USB/Bluetooth/Radio. ) I use an Iphone 4 as an Ipod over USB, but you should be able to use a lightning convertor cable and use newer iphones/ipods. The music interface is better on USB but still falls short if you're looking for iphone/ipad useability. You can connect the head unit to a wireless hotspot on iphone/ipad or any device with this function. You can also connect via USB to a 3G dongle but the supported devices are limited, (more reading for you.)
GPS works great and the iGo Navi app provided is really good and does not require an online connection. You may need to do some more reading to get maps / poi functioning to your needs depending on your location.
It's my first android head unit install and it was flawless for me. I invested lots of time reading to extract experience from this board and others I am generally familiar with car sound systems, electronics, soldering so I was just a matter of understanding the wiring interfaces for this unit, which are standard.
I'm a newbie on Android , so I'm not experimenting with ROMs yet but there is a ton of info on what is possible with mods and replacement apps for various functions.
so, bottom line, I give the unit a 8/10 overall, but the value for money from Amazon I give it 9/10.

Has anyone used something like the Delphi Connect or Zubie with their head unit?
I just picked up one of the new Lollipop units from Joying and would rather not connect it with my phone. I am looking at these OBD units vs a USB hotspot. While I would give up bluetooth for OBD, I could run the Delphi or Zubie app on the head unit itself and see the diagnostic codes, etc.
Any experiences or thoughts? Reasons to go with one over the other?

I installed my new head unit today and picked up a Zubie from Best Buy. It is a hotspot that plugs into the OBD port.
It works like a champ too.
My head unit connects via WiFi and I have an always-on connection regardless of my phone being in the car or paired. This saves my phone battery when streaming music and running Waze (which is pretty much the entire time I am in the car).
I haven't even paired my phone to the head unit and am not sure that I will.
I can't run Torque since the OBD port is now in user, but steering wheel controls seem to work fine via CANBUS, so hopefully it won't be a problem.

I recently bought a bluetooth steering wheel remote control in hopes it would work with my android HU since my truck does not have steering wheel controls.

This particular BT Remote does not work with android HU's, my HU will not even recognize it. When I do a BT search it doesn't appear in the devices section. It connects to my phone and tablet easily, so that tells me that our android HUs are missing a BT profile that allow HID (human interface devices) to connect. Definitely not a limitation of android, the BT profiles were just left out. Unfortunitely I cannot root my Eonon with Android 7.1.2 to solve the problem.
I saw where Car Joying was selling a similar BT controller but it only works with Joying Launcher and a special BT App that I could not get to work on my Eonon.
So beware of these BT controllers for now, until either you can root your HU and install the BT HID profile or the manufactures start adding the profile into the ROMS.
I have the same problem. I ordered with this part directly in China. Can't get it connected to my Isudar radio (link in signature).

I have a PX6 for a BMW (from AliExpress - model CCT-BBA22B07) and i've been trying to figure out how to enable and use the bluetooth for more than phone calls and media streaming. I want to connect it to a bluetooth ODB2 device.
The PX6 seems to use some of the original headunit's functions and along with some of its own Android features and functions. For example, i can use the original HU for FM radio, CD, Bluetooth for phone calls, etc. while using the Android for other functions like navigation (and any other android app i can think of).
So i ignored the Android bluetooth for the phone and continued using the original HU bluetooth. However, i've been trying to use the Android Bluetooth for ODB2. I've bought a bluetooth dongle (CSR 4.0 usb dongle) hoping that the PX6 will detect it. However, i can't seem to switch on the Bluetooth on the settings. depending on the Bluetooth App i use, it immediately switches off (1ms on, next millisecond off), or it gives an error saying "permission denied"
I tried telling the PX6 to use the Android Bluetooth instead of the HU bluetooth, just to see if the "Factory settings app" prevents control of the Bluetooth, but i can't find the Android bluetooth on my phone (i'm contacting the seller regarding this).
So now that you have the background, basically, i want to continue using my original HU bluetooth for the phone, and i want to have a full featured Bluetooth on the Android device (like a tablet would have). Any ideas on how this is possible? I'm hoping there's no need to strip the screen and remove electronic components from the PC boards?

I have the above head unit fitted and working fine in my car but I have an engine management device that contains a bluetooth low energy module in it. I would like to connect to this module via the provided app however it appears my head unit does not see or connect to BLE devices.
Does anybody know of a USB type device that I can connect to the head unit which will provide the ability to connect to BLE devices?
I'm using standard Dasaita android 10 and 3.69C.

I have a similar issue. I have an Axxess signal processor which you make adjustments to it through Bluetooth. The processor connects to my phone but won't even be seen by my head unit (Dasaita max10). These head units only seem to recognize a phone or (select) obd dongles. It's pretty basic. I have been looking for ways to expand this, but so far unsuccessful.
