Hi, Ihad the same issue right after the upgrade to ICS. I uninstalled G+, restarted and installed latest G+ back, since than the hangout didn't appear.
Google+ Hangout working fine here. Actually it even fixed the "muted" microphone
problems in HC.
Yes, I'm experiencing this also!
I bought my daughter a Transformer Prime, upgraded to ICS.
When I go to my computer, open Google+ and invite her to a hangout, she gets the invite but when she opens it it's like a new hangout is created, one that is only connected to the android G+ messenger app. Because I can find her messages and open the hangout on my android phone. But all communications between my computer and her tablet are blocked (I don't even get her chat messages to the computer, only to my phone)

I loaded a FaceBook update this morning.
Since then, I can't do anything in the app. I open the newsfeed, and if I try to navigate from there, my app crashes.
Anyone else having the same issues?

It is buggy. tapping Profile crashes for everyone as far as I know. Someone mentioned "Flow" from the market and that works great for me.
Keitht,
Is it working on your Xoom?

Flow? Yes it is working for me. Just installed it last night though so haven't used it much but it hasn't crashed on me yet where FB app crashes all the time. There is a free version you can install from the Market to try yourself. I bought the paid version.
same - crashes out doing stuff
logging in
opening app
random crashes
sometimes i get all the way to reading the profile and it randomly crashes
Yeah you're not alone. The new update crashes out on my phone and Xoom. Really, really bad update.
phone too?
I rarely use facebook - i only tried on the xoom as i noticed an update was out- havent tried accessing on my phone yet.

My advice is don't update on your phone, it's the same problems. Actually, if you still have the old version on your phone, any chance you could let me have the old apk so I can downgrade?
Same issues here. Crashes when I try to go to profiles. All I can do is read the wall and post to my wall.
Is there a way to downgrade?

I've started using TweetDeck last night, you can have different "columns" for Twitter and Facebook and a combined one.
It works pretty well, better than the FB app and I haven't had any FC's.
Found an older Facebook version and its runnuni better.

Keep tapping "Report" on the force close messages. If they get bombarded with crash messages, they will hopefully know there are problems.
The facebook app is shamefully useless on the xoom.

All sorts of crashes on my Xoom since the update.
If you can do without all the bells and whistles of facebook app friendcaster works nicely on the xoom.

Guys, a lot of messages here about "problems on Xoom, Facebook on HC, Xoom this, Xoom that."
The problems aren't to do with Xoom or HC, I am running CM7 (Gingerbread) on my Desire HD and I'm getting the exact same issues since the latest update. This is an app problem, not a Xoom or HC one.
Try this out. Should fix the FC until facebook gets around to it
I guess I could fix the widget too, but its ugly and the next update would just break it anyway.
The new update is shiit. I cant do anything

Does anyone have any experience with Google+ on the Transformer?
I use my new TF a lot for social media and I would like to see if and how Google+ is working on the TF.
Since I haven't received an invitation yet I'm trying to get info on who's using Google+ now, how happy he/she is etc.
Of course, an invitation would be welcome so I can start testing myself as well...
You can use the main website which gives you about the same experience as going on facebook.com (desktop version) its pretty smooth. You can also download the Google+ app but as of right now its not really tablet friemdly. If you have any questions just let me know.

There is currently not a Facebook app in the market. They haven't optimized it for Honeycomb yet, but you can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143913&highlight=kanged and that should work. The only issue I have with it, is that the friends list part force closes.
They must have recently taken it down, thanx for the link tho

i had the fb app on my tablet and one day it just disappeared...they took it down.
Use Friend Me
I use Friendcaster. Lots more options and when you say No Notifications..... it stops polling and giving you notifications. I notices a lift in battery when I uninstalled it. Friendcaster just seems nicer and smoother to me.

I previously had this app, but removed it.
Now it will no longer install. It will download, but will never proceed to install.
Anyone else having problems?

I've had that happen with the market a few times too. I normally just back out and go back in until it finally works.

There is actually a Honeycomb/Tablet edition, though in beta...
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.handmark.friendstream&feature=search_result
Works well for me, and definately less crashes than the native Facebook for Android app...
I've actually gone so far as to uninstall the official Facebook on my Vibrant running CM 7. With the last update on July 18th, for some reason, even if you set it to never poll for notifications, never refresh, and not to sync, it still keeps the news feed open in the background and constantly refreshes it. I noticed huge battery drain one day when I took my phone off of the charger, barely used it all day, and later that night around 11 I had 14 percent battery warning. When I looked into the battery history, Facebook took up a whopping 81 percent of the battery drain on that particular charge.
Will stick to using the 3rd party options.

There are a lot of apps that you won't find in the market because they haven't been optimized for Honeycomb. I normally just install them on my phone, pull the apk, then transfer it to my tab. So far every app I tried worked just fine including fb and google voice.
Friendcaster for Tab seems great to me, but it loads continuously when I select the messages tab, not showing anything... if that'll be solved, and chat will be added, it will be the perfect FB app for me!
PS: anyone solved the messages issue?

Mine does that with messages too, and yes, chat is a must. At least chat works on the Facebook app though. That's about the only good thing about it. While we're on the subject of honeycomb apps and notifications not working; how hard is it for Words With Friends to get notifications to work?! Is it really that difficult? I play a word and THEN it tells me it's my turn.
This Facebook app works just fine in Honeycomb.

My Messages tab does that too, as does the Events tab. Very annoying. I really hope a new beta's released soon. I sent the dev a PM about it but haven't heard anything back yet.
Strangely enough, I've seen a walkthrough video of the app (on Android Central I think) which showed them using the Messages and Events tab both working fine.
EDIT: New beta just released fixes the Messages issue, but I still have problems with Events.

ok. i've bought a new camera and replaced it and still same problem. So it's definitely NOT a hardware problem. going to try to go back to stock rom to see if that fixes it.
Went back to Stock, and still same issue. front camera just not working. This sucks..gonna try returning it to see if warranty still available

it's a known issue with Samsung devices
go to google support site and search it (i'm a new user so i can't post links)
open hangouts and go to the last issue
Hangouts crash on some Samsung devices
click on report, as many reports possible maybe google will take time to address this issue.
I am writing this in reference to the problem I am having with video chat apps on the N7 grouper. Whenever I try to start a video chat session the tablet either re starts the app or crashes entirely. Has any body seen this? Is there a fix? I have been on 3 separate Roms, Harmony 4.4 build, smoothrom 4.3 build, and cm 11.
All of the Roms have had this problem. I am currently on Harmony 4.4 build running m-kernel, with no mods. I did a complete wipe and install of the ROM this past weekend to see if that was the issue but still same results. The apps I use are we chat and tango. We chat restarts, tango will start the session than crash the tablet. Another note, wechat and Facebook will allow me to send pictures, so that is where it baffles me, they can use the camera for a picture but mess up on a video.
Thanks in advance for any help here, I use the video chat almost daily too chat with my daughter, it stinks to not be able to chat with her. Thanks again!!!

Just a bump. It has been a couple days and this question has been pushed way down the thread now.
I am still fighting the same issue, I did a data and cache wipe last night and that did not help either.
Thanks in advance.
