Not sure where i should post this since i didn't see a cm7 forum and this it's on my kf.
I flashed to the cm7 barebones the other day. Then i installed the weather channel app. When I go to 10 day forecast, along the lefthand side should be the day of the week. But it shows a day number instead. Ie. 1 for sunday, etc. It is like it is not translating correctly from the os.
Google calendar shows the day of the week.
Any ideas? Didn't see anything in settings.

Decided to us Twidroid instead of Peep (they just updated it [Twidroid] today) and turned off background updates in Peep. Set to manual, but still logged in via Settings.
Then I decided to see what happened when I logged out of Twitter in Settings - just to see if Twidroid still worked... and it does as it logs in itself.
Noticed that the Hero is now very much more alive and fluid.
Just thought I'd share to see if others have tried this or want to try it out and see if it speeds up their Hero.
I have been doing this for a while. I only use peep to send pics as twidroids doesn't work for me. I hope twidroid have made some big updates as it is nothing compard to twitteriffic on the iPhone.
Well the latest version 2.5.4 (Pro) is running along very well.
Lags on my Hero 'seem' to have gone away mostly, so I guess Peep was a real resource hog. Left it in 15 min updates and battery usage over night was negligible.
Liking the interface and SPEED of updating my timeline too, Peep was very slow and had no progress bar.
The desktop widget could be better, I liked the Peep one that showed a snapshot of my current timeline, the Twidroid one is just for tweeting.
twidroid is OK but nothing compared to iPhone twitter apps such as Tweetie. I quite like Swift for Android (twitter). However it's still beta and crashes a lot.
But this is not and iPhone... Tweetie on the Mac is the best Twitter client. I love the threaded view of tweets and DM's, great for keeping track on conversations.
Also love the way Tweetie stays at your last read tweet rather than zipping up to the top to the lastest tweet, saves having to scroll all the way down to then read upwards to the current tweet.
Hope the dev is reading xda
how do you ditch peep? There doesn't seem to be an option to uninstall it in the application listing...
Just go to settings in Peep and set the updates to manual. remove the widget (if used).
Peep will be dead essentially.
I just went to Settings -> Social networks and tapped on Twitter to log off from Peep. That took care of it and the phone seemed less laggy after that. not sure if this is just in my mind, will monitor over the next couple of days
Interestingly enough, when I did have Peep running, I had it set up update once a day only and it still threw out updates every couple of hours. Not sure why, but I'm suspecting that HTC could optimize Peep and the Facebook integration further

Thanks for the tip! I've done the same, and my Hero is much more responsive. I also kill peep (with app killer) every time I restart the device, and the lag has more and less disappeared! Excellent!

That's a bit stupid, isn't it. Loading up a programme no-one's logged in to use! I wonder if there's anything else running that doesn't need to be.
Have to say I haven't experienced any lag thus far with the twitter\peep widget, seems to work lovely for me.
Does anyone else have this problem? Talk is showing the conversations above my writing, not in time order! How do I change this?

this is weird...
instead of the messages being like in a chat, all his are on top and all mine are on the bottom
I was just about to post about the same issue. I thought the design of gtalk was made like this on purpose until a colleague of mine showed his not doing this.
I've tested to force gtalk to forget all data, but it has not helped. It has virtually made gtalk unusable, as after talking to someone for a few minutes/half an hour, I have to scroll pages up to view what the person responds with. Records so far is that I have to scroll four full length (portrait mode) pages to get to the text to the person I am conversing with.
I have the same problem but thought this was normal until being brought up in this thread
Solved!
The reason was for some unknown reason, it had not applied summer time (BST, for me) so I was running base clock on the device an hour wrong so it showed the correct time.
I went into settings for the date & time and re-selected "London" (was already selected) and suddenly it applied BST correctly. Then just adjust the clock so it shows the correct time and voila, it works again.
Me and my colleague just tested it out and my gtalk has turned from "useless" to "wonderful" in just a configuration change
thanks!
I have some bugs for the Express Rom, maybe someone can shoot it to one of the guys, since I cant post in the dev group.
In landscape mode, click (touch) on the "people" widget and the mail widget will open, if you have a widget next to the "messages" widget, touching the messages widget will go to the app next to it.
Also in Landscape mode looking at the People Favorites/4G widget, the 4G widgets need to be re-sized, as the white blocks are covering the people favorite apps (top left corner)
In "all apps", touch menu button popup you will see weather options, touch snowball and you get a FC
lol was going to post photos but cant do that either lol
how many to go till I can?
ok well those things are minor but thought I would post them
First, I would like to post this in the dev thread but like the OP I am in "10 post purgatory". I am enjoying the ROM - it is the 4th or 5th that I have flashed on the EVO and hands down the best.
I was a little scary waiting for the install to finish 30-35 minutes but patience is a virtue in this case.......
I am running the Express ROM 3.6.1 and had a couple of issues:
The HTC bookmarks uninstall/install issue I fixed by installing the apk posted in the dev thread with root explorer into the data/app_s folder and then changing the permissions to match the rest of the widgets in that folder. re-booted and re-installed the widget - worked perfectly.
The lockscreen apps/weather bug is still a problem for me - even after wiping 3 times, using the wipe.zip, and re-flashing. Tried various wipes and re-flashes and nothing worked, yes I followed the instructions posted in the dev thread for Personalize, Rosie, then Short Cut Lockscreen, then back button and power off, power on - waiting for the RC to fix this.
Have also had issues with ending calls that are answered from the lockscreen or originated in voicemail.
Also, haven't seen anyone else complain of this but the voicemail icon doesn't display the counter with un-viewed voicemails. The mail and messenger icons do have the counters however. Has anyone else seen/fixed this one?
I would love to see some options for modding the clock on the lockscreen - even if it just to change the color.
Edit: forgot to mention I installed the calculator widget on one of the home screens and it centers on the screen. After re-booting it moved to the upper right corner of the screen, uninstalled and re-installed and it goes back to the correct position - odd.
All in all, a great ROM - many thanks to the developers for all the work and the support going on over in the development section.
Hey,
The express rom is a great rom but just like many of the roms out there it is a WIP and the devs know that there all glitches and they are working their buts off to get us amazing roms because the evos developers just take care of us so much better then so many other phones and we are really thankful for them. But since they are still working on it we just need to give them time to work all the bugs out and when it is all done we will have one heck of a rom! We just have to be patient but that is the least we can do for out devs
I hope I helped If I did please hit the thanks!
Stevo
As far as touching a widget and having the app next to it open up, that's what the OP for the rom is referring to when he says 'much resizing needs to be done'. I believe it's because of the resolution differences. Editing M10s is apparently very frustrating and time consuming, as this ROM (or variations of it) has been being worked on for roughly a year , since The_Platypus started it. (There was also someone involved at the very beginning, but I forget who)

sac23 ported the Flyer originally, I believe, and then justinswidebody was the first one who tried the Express (after my incessant begging, lol). The platty jumped on, if I recall correctly.
Bingo. Yeah, I remembered justinswidebody shortly after posting,....but completely forgot about sac23

only bug ive seen is the linking people together from my other accs ie facebook twitter tango..... btw dont get the themed one they suck because its someone elses style...so get 3.6.0 and run it with the anthrax og evo4g kernel...ftw
after 2 weeks on the ROM....
The install has started to become somewhat unstable - I am getting random FC's and screen lockups that require me to remove the battery and reboot. After it was first installed, it ran very smoothly except for the known bugs..
At some point I will probably go thru the wipe procedure and re-install to see if it happens again.
I did notice one other issue (probably a re-sizing issue) with the calculator widget. The display truncates in the portrait mode. It displays correctly in horizontal mode, but then the keyboard has the problem of when you push the far left or far right keys, it rotates the display to the next home screen......
one more thing.....
I guess I should re-iterate what I said in post 2 that I love this ROM (3.6.1 themed) and appreciate all the work going on in dev forum. I am just posting these notes because I know that work is ongoing on the RC release and I hope someone will stumble over here and see them.
So here is another observation - The Bluetooth link to the hands free system (Argos) in my MBZ has been acting strange for the last week. It always pairs reliably when I get in the car but it sometimes will not transfer the audio to the vehicle's system (even though the phone and the car both say they are connected. Lately, I have had to manually cycle the Bluetooth off and then back on to get it to work. I have run a few other custom ROMs and not experienced this. For sometime pryor to installing this ROM I was running the Kinged Shooter and then the rooted stock 4.53......
The Argos is Bluetooth 1.2 - not sure if that matters though.
Thanks again for all the hard work.
Hello,
This is my first post on XDA forums ( and it hopefully abides by the rules of opening a new thread )
I have been using the N10 for a week now. I am sharing the tab with my wife. I am the primary user. In addition to the frequent crashes, we've a couple of other problems.
a) The wallpaper set for my wife's account vanishes time and again! She'd set one from her Google plus albums. I later asked her to download that on the internal memory and then set the wallpaper. However, to no avail. (my account however, has not seen such a problem till now)
b) Sometimes, the apps are force-closed. For instance, if I open Gallery, it opens just for a second and closes to take you to the home screen. I have observed this at least thrice till now.
Is there anyone else facing these issues? It's very annoying to have such simple issues with a high end tablet from Google. Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Chinmay

I can't say that I have, but it's been a long time since I'm running stock. The wallpaper issue though I'd suggest you search around on Google/the forums. I know that some launcher settings make setting a wallpaper a real pain (and will reset the wallpaer back to the stock ones).
Hello,
In the stock android alarm clock, DeskClockGoogle.apk (com.google.android.deskclock), the order of week days is wrong - it starts with Sunday, even hough in my locale it should be Monday. Calendar is set to "default" and is Monday, the clock doesn't have a setting for this. This is apparently a known if ignored issue (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=43158).
The interesting thinng is that in CyanogenMod clock, DeskClock.apk (com.android.deskclock) that I have checked on a friend's device, this works correctly and has Monday as first day. I have tried to compare files found in /data/data/com(google.)android.deskclock, alarms.db in particular (I've noticed that a corresponding file for Timely app changes when I change first day in Timley), but wasn't able to fin any notable differences.
So, here's my question - can this be solved via adding or modifying some kind of code in this file, or another file, like build.prop? Or can I somehow replace the Google clock app with CM clock app without installing CM (if so, which files am I going to need, considering I'm running stock ROM, so all is doexed)?
Please, help. I know this is aminor issue, but it's driving my OCD crazy =).
So far the only solution I've found is installing another clock. That sucks, I love the look of JB clock.
Could anyone send me the CM clock app?
