Is my understanding correct that there is still no fully functioning wifi calling app for ICS ROMs?
My house does not have TMobile coverage so we relied on wifi calling in pre-ICS ROMs. I flashed ICS on both kids Vibrants but hesitant to touch my wife's Vibrant till it gets fixed.
For reference, my HTC Sensation ICS ROM came with wifi callipg apk in it, but I tested it a few times and it was non-functional.
Thanks,
Vadim.

Currently I am using the ICON Rom from over there and it has been the closest thing to flawless. I was wondering if the ROMs here are the same as what is available over there. I'm really just trying to get the most stable setup that I can because I'll be handing the phone over to my wife as soon as I can get my hands on a EVO 4G.
the roms here are generally for GSM phones
My rom posted here is the same found in PPCGeeks, it's GSM only.
So I have a captivate right now and am thinking of switching to spirt to get the epic 4g. On my captivate there really isnt any specific problems like "in this roms were having sms and mms problems" or "lol wifi doesnt work" other than the GPS which is whatever. So what if any are the problems with the custom roms on this phone and or problems that i would be facing if i did get one and want to put a custom rom on it.
Thanks,
Bryan
Just about any rom should be fine, there aren't any issues that you won't find on any other Galaxy S phone, such as the GPS issues. You may experience certain quirks with the 'beta' froyo builds, but otherwise pretty stable. The only rom with any issues like you mentioned would be Cyanogen, which is because it is still unfinished as of yet.
Excellent advice if you take time out to actually read the threads for each rom, and don't jump into it before your certain you will be fine. A proper install of any froyo leak should produce a stable daily use phone. Be sure to follow the gps lock instructions to a T. That's all if your going to the froyo leak, the stock rom ifs very smooth if you choose to stock with it for a while. If you run into any trouble, Don't hesitate to pm me I'm always willing to help.

To those that need the wpa_supplicant file to make the Ad-Hoc work on the Nexus S 4G ( might work on Nexus S ) go to this thread and get the file....

Since I have a Xoom... I thought it should also work on the Nexus S 4G since the file was made for Honeycomb.
I tested it this morning and it worked great. No problems so far.....

Netarchy's Stable kernel
Stock software on Nexus
I did hear that AR.Drone is developing a Android App. Its in Beta stage now.
Orange Network supports WiFi calling from what I understand and is available on some of their Android devices they sell. On the Galaxy S forums they were able to port the app from the orange stock rom to cm7 by copying over some of the libs. Is there anyway to get it running on my DesireZ. The lib files from the Galaxy S version naturally don't work however the desire S also is supported. Any chance of porting the functionality from there? It seems to be a software thing and not hardware dependant.

I've been reading and searching posts for hours and I keep running into the issue with Data not working. Flashing my wife's phone so need it stable and everything working (don't care about 4g).
I settled on the PAC JB 4.2.2 but I keep reading that the newer releases break my data. found some quotes saying that the last stable and reliable build with data working is the one released 07-19-30 but in THIS LINK the earliest listed release was 07-20-13 can someone verify this?
Also I am totally up for recommendations on builds I should try. They must meet these standards though:
good battery
Data works (4g isn't for me)
preferably JB
Camera/video work
Very stable
thanks for the help
