[Q] Saunalahti ICS Aurora 4.0.3 - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

I see that all of finnish saunalahti users have had a working mobiledata connection, well I have not. When I install ICS, I have no APN-data. When I restart/reboot device the APN-data appears in settings, but I haven't had a working mobile data connection at any times. I use roaming of course. Could someone tell me what am I doing wrong?

Hard to tell. I have done few fresh installs and it takes like 5 mins to phone to ask for pin for the first boot. Some early post said that better to leave the phone be before it asks for pin. So after i have done the first boot settings after fresh install, I leave the phone be and do nothing before i see in the lock screen that it has loaded the apn settings and no pin has yet been entered.
Cant think that makes so big difference, but for me everything works fine, never lost apns...

I have disabled Pin number asking ages ago, I have to try to wait a while after installing then, Ill report after testing.

This problem is quite interesting since I haven't had a single problem with mobile data connection and I've used all the versions starting from version 1.1. Could the problem be related to a sim card? Mine is about six years old.

Thats my guess too, some link evidently said that sim cards can have some differences...

It might be, mine is 1,5 years.. tops..

I fooled around with all of the data, wcdma, and finally with mobiledata limits. The network went dead, I rebooted and now I get working mobiledata for the first time. strange, is there some bug in mobiledata limiting?

Same problem here, mobile network does not work for me with Aurora ICS on Saunalahti operator. I tried nearly all Aurora releases, but still does not work. I also have ICS on my Samsung Galaxy Mini, and the network works on that phone. I can't even create APN:s. What would be wrong with this ROM?

I have over 7 years old Saunalahti SIM-card and I haven't had a single problem with it. I guess everything was better ~10 years ago.

FRX06 not working

i've installed frx06 on my htc touch hd and i reach the android lock screen but am unable to unlock the phone, the phone responds- it vibrates when i touch the screen but then it just turns off! i always have to soft reset my phone!
ive tried formatting mem card, but nothing works.

Well it didn’t ask me for calibration but it doesn’t answer the problem as my phone just turns off anyway.
can sum1 upload the ts calibration file for blackstone
im reverting to froyo 2.2
Calibration file
Dont revert , I like this build and it's verry stable, 12h+.
It asked me for the four points, but I noticed that the square points wont show up, just push each corner starting from upper left and down when it ask for it, it will ask if you dont have any calibration file.
or try with another calibration file...
Try this one from [TUT] FROYO x RED camera Install [UPDATE] post

FRX06 froze up the first few times i tried it as well. Then i remembered a few tricks and went through a whole installation ritual:
- First boot without SIM card. Boots to HOME SCREEN, not lock screen. Will freeze after about a minute. Pull battery.
- Second boot without SIM card, with auto-install of Battery Booster, AppInstaller and ClockSync. Boots to LOCK SCREEN. Unlock and setup APN and save it. It won't show but it will be remebered. Setup any other settings if desired.
- Third boot WITH SIM. DONOT unlock before you see the name of your carrier on the screen. Unlock and go straight to APN settings to check if the dot is ticked.
If not ticked, tick it and prepare to have a frozen Blackstone once again.
Should be fine on fourth boot, and stay that way if you use the Battery Booster wake-up trick (see my signature) and ClockSync in high-precision-mode.
BTW: I find that pulling the battery for at least 5 seconds works better than soft-resetting.
EDIT: it seems there is a fix for the SOD issue in the form of a modified and more stable RIL by highlandsun. TRY IT OUT!!! works for lots of people, me included though i've only been using it for 24 hours. so far no SOD!

I brainstormed a little on this (but i'm not Einstein so...) and i think it's a problem between the information on your SIM card and the info coming back from the network.
Have you had the SIM for a long time? O2 used to be BT's mobile division.
I would call my service provider, tell them i got a new Android phone (a Desire or something), explain the problem and ask for a new SIM card.

[BUG] Dynamics v2.0 - WP7.8 RTM Bugs

hello, not a noob for installing stuff just reporting some issues im having with this rom.
So currently the install went fine on the focus (ATT device running on Tmobile). the device is rebooting at random times, i would watch it flash the goodbye screen wait for a few seconds then the samsung screen comes on. Another thing is my connection is reporting to be on the E (Edge connection i guess) even though im rated for 3G with tmobile but at the time i just recently turned on my data so maybe when my new pay period kicks in that would change so that ones iffy. Other than that the rom seems to be running fine.
Until your area gets a network upgrade on TMobile's 1900Mhz band, you are going to see 2G.
As far as the reboots, I have 3 focus's running this Rom on Straighttalk. NO reboots.

i know i get 3g before cause my father turned off the data plan when i wasn't working (and before i flashed the rom incase anyone asked), like i said i won't know until a couple of weeks as theres alot of extenuating circumstances which i can pin on Tmobile (my voicemail was kinda jacked up when i first joined).
Yea the reboot was just weird, i would just take it out of my pocket and i would noticed all of my pass tasks were missing even when i wasn't running anything on the background still does it, then last night i was on my computer look over to the right to my phone and it was restarting by itself . Also before i flashed, i had the same issue but not too frequently maybe once per 2 months.

I had similar issues when I was on T-Mobile about 6 months ago, but I am not sure but I don't think your issues are because of T-Mobile, try a reflash.

i cleaned before and after but heck reflashing helps too, i'll give that a shot tonight. Yea this rom is awesome, makes my focus still look shiny new
Here are the bugs I found:
1. The Clock Hub seems to flash every other time I look at it, as if it was flickering and loading up just then, not smooth.
2. The Clock Hub's code needs to be fixed to show AM and PM properly when the hour is 12. 12AM is shown as 12PM and the other way around too. Soon as it hits 1PM or 1AM, it's ok.
3. XBox avatar wakes up on the wrong side after shaking him down and he tries to pull the screen to the side. Shake your avatar, make him fall down, watch him get up pissed and pull the screen to a side. On the older stock rom, he pulled it correctly from left to right. In this ROM and the Tango ROM I got from here - he pulls it wrongly from right to left.
4. When I connected the phone to the computer, it detected it as a Samsung Omnia 7, instead of a Focus.
5. The image in Zune is a generic Windows Phone image, not the Samsung Focus as it used to be shown before.
6. When there's a phonecall, earlier it used to say "slide up to answer", why not anymore?
7. No charging sound/vibration when plugged in.
One request:
Can anyone find the original image from the stock rom from the 7 album, which had the person crossing their leg to form a 4, instead of the Mango image that has the latch with the 4 over it?

I found that the network profile does not work. The voice search does not work, also when u have a custom SMS tone it will not silence and also it will play when u are talking on the phone, and if you get more than one text it will play the sound for each sound all at once.

Your phone probably has bad NAND sectors. Aside from getting a new phone the only thing you can try is getting a very large SD card and hope that most of the data gets written to the SD card instead of the NAND. This is a common problem with the Focus I have noticed.

The Dynamics ROM uses a lot of Omnia 7 files as well as it's newer firmware which can cause problems, such as changing providers with the diagnosis app via the provxml trick. The reason voice search doesn't work is because of ultrashot's SearchKeySettings package. If you want that to work you will have to use a ROKM that doesn't have that included.

Flashed albinoman887's new 4.3 ROM (8/19/13) Update - Phone restarting

I flashed the latest roms of albinoman (08/13 & 08/19). The roms are awesome, but once in a while, the phone restarts especially when the phone has been in sleep mode. Also, the phone restarts thinking there is a new sim added to the phone when I have not touched the sim at all. Has anybody have that issue? I hope my phone is dying on me.
Random reboots will happen on 4.3 since it's new.
New bugs are being found and patched. Your phone probably isn't dying on you. Lol.

Thank Notorious! I found more bugs that forced me to go back to 4.2 rom.
- Phone does not ring for incoming calls. I tinkered with the DSP manager, etc. I changed ring tones, and the ring tones are not providing any audio at all. Although I get some audio when playing. (main reason I had to switch back to a previous rom. I missed several important calls).
- Creating Folders to group apps. It ungroups back when you go to sleep or when you go to all apps.
Besides that, I never thought myTouch can still be a beast. 4.2 & 4.3 roms are so smooth and really good as a daily driver.

How did it go?
Also, you said in the previous post, "the phone restarts thinking there is a new sim added to the phone when I have not touched the sim at all. Has anybody have that issue?"
I think this might be the "missed call" bug that has afflicted the last few builds. It works like this: you get a call but miss it, and the phone basically unmounts the SIM card and drops network connection. If you have the SIM passcoded (as I do), you get the passcode entry screen. You enter the passcode, though, and the SIM card remounts, network comes back, all is cool. This is a known issue and albinoman is working on it. You can check out the dev thread here:

I haven't reflashed it. I am glad to know that it is a known issue. It happens when the phone is idle. To save on the data plan, the phone kicks out of the network. That's when it happens. it does not happen with the 4.2 builds so I reflashed it to the final 4.2 build. After reading the new build, it seems like it has been fixed so I can now use that build.

[HELP] i9506 - No network after ROM/CM11 install :/

Guys, I think I've screwed something up..
Have searched both XDA and google, but none of those solutions worked and I have a weird case.
IMEI is there, baseband is not unknown and I can 2G/3G/LTE+ surf the web etc.
The issue is when I try to call and send texts.. -Mobilenetwork is not accessible-
Not accessible? I'm surfing right now and I got network bars!
So this happend sometime after rooting and installing CM11, have no idea when since I've been having bars all the time.
What I've done so far:
- Reflashed CM11.
- Modem flashed.
- Flashed stock. Same problem, shows bars, but no network.
- Try to flash some other stocks as well, but ODIN fails at hidden.
- Started from scratch today, CM11 procedure, got network for about 2 min. Then the same f'ing message.
- Downloading the stock firmware the phone came with right now.
Been in the flashing game since Omnia HD, never had any problems.
Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on?
Michael
Have you tried using the sim card on another phone?
Or have you contacted your carrier? Sounds more like a problem from there than in the rom if your mobile data works.

Then sounds like a phone problem.
I had a similar problem a month ago. My modem with calls, sms, mobile data. None of it worked. Wifi was working fine. So I sent my phone to be fixed and they changed the chipset which then fixed the problem. 10 days later I had my phone back and now running CM smoothly as ever
Yeah, I read your posts and It looks like I'll be sending in mine as well. No big deal, but It feels alot better fixing issues like this on your own

Joy UI v12

Hi! I recently updated my Blackshark 2 and after the update, an old problem I had came back.
My connections keep fluctuating. I'll be using the internet on my phone for apps and then my mobile networks and wifi suddenly disconnects and reconnects after a few seconds. It's really frustrating since it keeps disconnecting me from internet-intensive apps.
Any ideas on how to fix this? It's honestly driving me nuts.
Factory reset should fix that.

Ok, so you probably then used some beta build of JoyUi12 or something that is not yet officially published or it is not for your device eg. you had global and flashed chinese build or other way around. Go back to build that worked and wait for official release.

Ok, sorry for wrong assumption. I just try to help as best as i can.
Usually problems that you have are coming from software because after update some old stuff from previous version stick around and have conflict with new stuff so factory reset should fix that. In your case that did not worked so maybe it is a hardware problem.

I apologize for the hostile tone, it was not my intention at all. You have been very helpful and I've greatly appreciated the effort. I'll try doing some more random stuff. This has happened before about half a month ago but it went away. Now that it's back its even worse than before so i can't just ignore it as I had in the past.
Again, thanks for the input. You've really been a great help.
