HTC HD2 starting and hard reset problem

After freezing my device I tried to open but not opened then I tried to make soft reset again it didnt open then I tried hard reset but the normal menu didnt come instead the menu which is attached appear and telling something serial but not doing hard set now I dont know what I must do Please help

Thats your bootloader.....
to do a hard reset its...
hold down volume up and volume down
tap and release power
keep holding both volume buttons down....
I think whats happening is that your only holding the volume down.
Try taking your battery cover off to get a better press and making sure that up and down are held, then tap the power button.........

Thanks for explanation but it is stilll not working and in addition today for solving this problem I tried to reinstall rom using cd card this case it is waiting at the (loading ) stage I dont know how can I solve this problem

What rom did you try to flash via sd card?
What rom were you using before it crashed?
Is it a tmous hd2 (green and red buttons?) or a "normal one"?
What happened to make it freeze crash?
Can you still get to bootloader? (the screen you posted above)
If you can then go to that screen and connect your phone via usb......
wait a few mins and let us know if the word "serial" at the bottom of the screen changes to "usb"........
If it does you should be able to flash a rom via your computer......

nothing only I have re install sprite and rim backups (whic I had before) it started normally and while working freezed I closed and not opened it is staying and wait at (HTC guietly brillant ) stage

Unfortunatelly I can not I tried everything flashing rom, radio ,and task 29 in every case it not started wait as seen picture (only hspl worked)

try uninstalling actvesync from your pc...... then reinstalling it
would you be able to try and flash on someone elses pc?

My friend, if the phone starts at all you definitely should be able to do HARD RESET.
You are probably not doing well the hard reset. You cannot destroy bootloader with backup programs.
You should :
-hold pressed volume up and volume down buttons
-tap and release power button
-keep holding both volume buttons down for several more seconds until three color screen appears and shortly after that a message will appear on lite blue screen. Then release both volume buttons. Then press volume up button, usually it is necessary to press it once again. System restoring bar will begin to raise up to 100%. After that pres again volume up and system will restart.

By the way your initial rom is 1.66 but on the pictures is 1.48. So you did pictures after you flashed it. Also noted that you have flashed HSPL.
Suggest to download your initial original rom and install it from the memory card. Not sure but may be downgrade of the rom is not possible from 1.66 to 1.44.

I solved my problem
Thanks to masters very much I reinstall active sync and then I flash rom and all my problems cancelled out )

I can get the bootloader but it keeps showing "serial" even after connecting it to to the computer.
the "usb" does not come and i cannot update the rom
currently i'm using hyperdroid GBX v11 which is working fine (just one problem that it shows blank screen after a call ends and no display till another call comes) please help

Hmmm......
Try, using another USB port or computer.
Reinstall activesync.
Have you tried flashing from SD card?

any help? im hard rebooting cause idk the pasword and i cant get on the phone:crying::crying::crying:

If you are 100% sure your stock rom is correct. rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.NBH, put it on the root of your SD card, and boot into bootloader, it will flash.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE IF YOUR STOCK IS CORRECT POST HERE FIRST OR YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE,
better to look noob than to brick, there are too many versions of this phone to mess around here.

How to fix an HD2 that Freezes at the splash screen and won't boot

HI,
I just had this problem and I saw that a ton of others had it too. It was where my phone would stop at the windows screen and not boot, and my PC wouldn't read the phone so I couldn't load a new rom or Hard SPL. How I fixed it was by getting my phone into bootloader mode, (the multi colored screen). Here's how to do it.
While phone is Off:
Hold Volume down & press power button
While phone is On
Hold Volume down & press Reset Button (meaning the little yellow button by the battery that you have to press with a pen to soft reset it)
Once your on the bootloader screen, plug your phone into your PC, you will hear the ding that the computer recognized it but your Windows Mobile desktop software will still say your not connected, don't worry about that,, you are connected. After that, just pick whatever rom you want, then just install it like normal. and it works. If your not running a rom, do the same but install hard SPL instead of a ROM.

i had that problem, my phone was stuck on stock together splash screen, but I just called up tmo and they have sent me a new hd2.

can someone help me ! i have the same problem. im not sure i can even open the bootloader menu . when i reset it ,it still goes 3 colours. when i try puting a new rom on it it comes up error 262. tried task29 but still error 262. tried reinstalling activesinc , still error 262,something is telling me to sign into my comp as admin but ... can anyone help?

Ok first off what ROM do you have and what SPL does it show when you are in the muticolor bootloader screen? Secound if you are trying to flash a ROM yse right clicking the .exe file and selecting run as adminastrator is a good idea. l

I had the same problem.. what usually helps for me is when it gets stuck.. pull out the battery and give it a solid 15-20 minutes.. and then turn it on and do nothing up until after it has booted

i do the battery thing but i cant go on doing this , i put a little txt or phone call and the phone goes bonkers and heats up,nightmare!

I am having the same issue. I had a android rom then was finally able to flash via sd the stock rom, but it would just freeze on splash screen when trying to boot. Now when I try to flash rom again it will start and freeze on 1%. Any suggestions?

Now when I try to load rom via usb it starts and then freezes on 1%. Then will say communication error and then when trying to boot phone it says software issue and now I cant even get a rom put back on! Please help lol

Ok try going to windowsmobile.com/getstarted and download and install the latest version of ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) , wich ever one you have to have for your computer, and install it on your computer as they have updated USB drivers for your HD2.

have you tried loading a rom from the root of your memory card LEOimg.nbh?

i have this problem too...but what is worse is after i went to splash screen and connect my phone to pc, my pc wont detect my hd2...so i cant flash a new rom...
ps : im on stock rom bought this almost 2 years ago if im not mistaken

You need to put your phone into bootloader then your computer will recognize it. Hold the volume down button down while you power on the phone and the multicolor bootloader will come up. Next connect your HD2 to your computer via your USB cable. Wait for the Serial in the white bar of bootloader changes to USB and then flash. If you go to the device manager of your computer while you see USB on your phone it should say HTC USB Sync if you want to be assured that you have a connection to flash with.

after flashing to 14 jan mdj. my hd2 crashed after 1 day of use. After that I can't boot into android or use USB. I think I even can't charge the phone. I don't see the red led. Andy ideas for fixing it? Try a new battery? It doesn't start up anymore, but it did a few times and said 12.fatal hit when booting android. I haven't tried Tricolour because I can't start it up anymore

When you turn on your phone what happens? What screen dow it take you to? What does it say when trying to run android? .......and for future notice this is the comnplete wrong section for this....and some more info regarding device, hspl, radio would be helpful too.

2...second remove the SD card and connect the phone to ur computer
3...hold the down volume + power buttom till u see 4 colurs and them run the tmobile official rom... let me know what happens

All have to do is to download an htc official rom and connect ur Htc hd2 to
computer and flash it

Can you seriously follow anyone's instructions given man? Quit trying to boot the phone. Connect the phone with your PC via the USB cable. Hold down the "volume down" key and the "power" key at the same time. Tell us if you see the tri colored screen.

Have you checked the battery contacts? They bend very easy, and the symptoms you describe are exactly those of that. If they are bent, VERY, OH SO VERY CAREFULLY straighten them up. If one or more are broken, I hate to tell you this, but you need to buy a new phone.

I think you have wrongly done the Clock Work Mod which shows the 123Fatal Hit error and ur hd2 remains stuck there. Your HD2 is not crashed at all just charge it with an external charger then go to bootloader by pressing n holding Volume Down key and Power button until you the triple coloured screen, then connect your data cable to HD2 and flash it with a stock windows mobile rom so it will restore ur hd2 and after that u can install nand rom on it by following each and every step mentioned in tutorials here. Whenever I select boot AD SD after flashing partition layout I always get 123Fatal error now I don't understand what the problem is....If someone has a solution for this problem please reply in this thread as I don't want flashing through DFT method.

friend somehow managed to screw up your hd2. Artemis is injected into a rom, I think it was based on 3.14. HSPL previously done, it seems that something is not coincidence and not the phone can not start. that turns the gray screen that says
Flash type5510BCAD
Power Reason 6
BOOTUP_W_WARM_RESET
After a few seconds starts to rise wm that appears yellow screen on which writes the windows and knocks.
I tried different ROMs oficial and cooked, the PCIJ and the SD, Task 29 and nothing fails. go per cent during the installation and just get out of it. SD will not even try.
If someone has an idea

Its hard to fully understand whats happening with the phone from your descriptiond
Try removing the sd card, task 29 then a stock rom from.
As the phone boots, I don't think its a major issue

I am with member jobnerz on this one. It is a little hard to fully understand your issue here but I think I know what you are saying. As mentioned above put your HD2 into bootloaded by turning the Pbone off and holding the volume down button and briefly pressing the power button but keep the volume down button pressed until you see the bootloader appear.Connect you HD2 to the computer via USB cable and wait until you see the serial in the bottom white bar on your phone screen change to USB. When you see USB run a task 29. Then cut the obone off and put it back into bootloader and wait for the USB at the bottom again then flash the ROM you want.

I'm sorry,but it maybe physical problem. It seems like it out of memory ic's, because after flash device goes to same status "Flash type5510BCAD...." Try to flash several times also using sd card, maybe this will help

[Q] Help on fixing hd2 that wont boot up

Hey guys I have a hd2 that wont boot up anymore. I have installed several windows 6.5 cooked roms into this device for a while now. Recently this device has been given me a lot of problems until finally it took a dump. Now everytime i power up the device it stays in the splash screen. It doesnt even show radio version, rom version,etc on the bottom left of the screen. So is this hd2 dead or is there some way that i can fix it. I even tried installing tmobile's official rom on this device by going into the "rainbow screen" so that the device can be seen by using the usb cable, but alas....it didnt work either. So any help would be appreciated .

If it doesn't install, and nothing installs, then you need to take it to repair I guess.

I had a feeling about that. I just figured there was no way to fix it and the fact that i couldnt send it back to tmobile to get a replacement was out of the question since the firmware was modified. But your saying there are shops that fix these kinds of issues? If so, I better start looking around over here.

why dont you try sd card method for flashing your rom !1! you can pm me if you need further help

Do you mean that it can't get to the boot loader screen (rainbow) or that trying to install a ROM from there didn't work? You might want to flash the original HSPL too, just to check.

What I mean is that everytime I boot up the hd2 it stays stuck on the splash screen. It doesn't even show the rom information in red at the bottom left corner of the screen. But I can boot to the tri color menu though. I have tried to install the tmous official rom by plugging the USB when I'm in the tri color menu and it always stays stuck at 9%. So is there way to fix this or am I screwed.

After that, even if it fails, it shows only SPL in the tri-color screen then you are set to claim warranty.

Well my bro... i think thats nand problems or heating issues ... does flashing rom goes all ok or it stops during flashing ? if stops than check if you phone is hot - hotter than normal.
Try this : Take out battery, memory card, sim card and put you phone in the fridge for about 5-10 min ( dont worry tried many times... no harm ) meanwhile prepare your sd card to flash rom with sd card method ... to do that extract Ruu rom - stock one - download with hd2 serial nr ( winrar, 7zip etc) find Ruu_Signed.nbh rename it to LEOIMG.nbh than copy to sd card ( format you sd card fat32 and make sure it works ... 2gb will work ) take phone out from fridge put sd card & battery into phone power one phone while holding volume down key ( go into tricolor screen - bootloader) and follow procedure in phone... i hope everything goes well and you fix you phone... but if still no success than flash android or wp7 ( if you have warranty flash stock SPL and return phone).
