sirius app - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is this app working on cm9 02232012
for me says device not compatible is there a fix i tried looking with search but no dice

I'm not sure about that specific nightly, but I was not able to get it to run with the 05272012 version.
I'm guessing the app just doesn't work on the Nook for CM9 yet.
I had version 2.0 of the Sirius app running fine on CM7 version 177 after updating the IMEI, but when I tried to go to a CM7.2 nightly, it would not work either. It seems the app stopped working at some point in the evolution of CM. I'm going to try CM7.1 and see if that works.
Anyone else using the Sirius app have any success with later CM builds?

Market won't auto-update on CM 6.1.1

As the title suggests, I'm running CM 6.1.1 on my G2 and the Market app itself won't auto-update OTA. Still running version 2.2.6, latest is 2.3.4. Anyone else have this problem, and/or know of a fix? It's never auto-updated. When I first flashed CM 6.1.1 it was running the old Market and I had to manually flash the 2.2.6 version. It wouldn't update by itself.
It's just the plain Market, no themes.
Thanks.
I'm having this problem, as well.
i could be wrong, but does cm6 have a program called fotakill? (sorry i never used 6 only CM7 nightly roms) iirc from reading around on a google search, fotakill detaches your apps from the market to prevent updating?
I am having the same issues as well .
the new gapps package has the new market included in it....
I am not sure if you can install the package over your currently installed apps.....
if you do a fresh cyanogen install and install the new package.... you should be fine.
thats how I did it
I wonder if this is the reason im having issues with my apps updating . They will
not update until you move the app to the phone , otherwise if theyre on the SD
you will constantly get a "Update was unsuccessful" error .

I am running CM 6.1 and my market has not updated for quite some time. I believe its version 1.82...
I have no problem updating any of the apps on my phone. A few days ago I have the "unsuccessful" error for a bit on ALL apps. Tried it a few hours later and worked fine. Not sure what the problem was, but other than that once instance, haven't had issues.
It is said that the new Market is having some issue with the CM 6.1.1, (market verison is only 1.8 on my CM 6.1.1 ) it is recommended you flash the latest gapps through recovery.
Where is the latest Gapps ?

That's not any newer than what CyanogenMod has listed on the Wiki.
Right. Based on what that table says, the newest gapps are for CM7 only.

when you install a CM7 nightly then the radio isn't changed.
It install only the ROM.
Why this question about the radio version?
i thought the problem of the reboot could be the Radio...
I have EXACTLY the same problem...
Well, i'm experimenting some freezing issues with my Htc Legend on CM 7.03, when the wifi is on, i launch Android market (or something else... like trillian, a game etc..) in order to search apps or upgrade installed ones, after few swipes... : big freeze, then reboot.
i'm experimenting this problem since the first stable release.
I'm running LauncherPro Plus as Home Replacement, have S2E (for A2SD) and the 7.13 radio.
I would just know if someone else do have this issue too.
I was using Blayo before without any freezes.

same problem here too.
I had the same with one of the nighlies (87). I had Go Launcher has homescreen replacement.
Running 7.0.3 with ADB there were no issues anymore!
will go to 7.0.3 - thanks. by the way, what does adb do to the phone whilst not plugged in?
These WiFi reboots sound similar to those in ogo2's Sense 2.3 ROM, I wonder if they're linked?
Well ogo's, rom is 97% cyanogen 7, and cyanogen 7 has had these wifi issues since they started using htc code (see post in dev section).
partial work-around
well, going back to the latest stable version of cyanogenmod (7.0.3 at this time...even though i will miss the better responsiveness of adw in the newer nightlies) and using wifi fixer is a partial work-around to this problem for m.
Hello.
Could you please tel me where can I download diferent versions of radio for the Legend?
Have almost 0% of wifi and mobile coverage after installing CM 7.03.
Thanks!

Has anyone any experience with wifi network, which requiers to enter user name and password, first time you open the browser? I have such case at work, and my problem is tha this first page just won't load. It works ok on my coworkers phone (nexus s). Any suggestions what can I try. I've tried with Skyfire browser and with nativ cm browser, but it doesn't work. I'm using CM 7.0.3 stable
Wifi seems to be fixed in Cyan 7.1.0 RC1 at least is is on mine.

imediashare on MIUI?

Has anyone been able to use imediashare with MIUI on EVO? I can use it fine with other ROMs but it always forcecloses on MIUI. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and tried with different versions of MIUI but it always forcecloses. Any idea why?
I'm a noob so I could be way off lol, buy do you try Fix Permissions in ROM Manager?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Permissions are not the problem. I have a Nexus One and am using MIUI 1.9.2 and it also FCs. Looking at the logcat it shows that it crashes due to a NullPointerException because it cannot get provided com.bianor.ams.content.AmsContentProvider.
According the the IMS google groups, MIUI is not supported at this time. Looks like we are out of luck for now.

Spectral Souls

Any CM7 users got it working? Seems to be broken but I can't establish whether this was due to the app being updated or a side effect of the latest ICS builds.
Many users on the Market were moaning about Spectral Souls not working since one or other update, but comments suggest that the latest version is now working. Unfortunately for me I'm still getting force closes as soon as I launch the app.
Any ideas?
I flashed MIUI and now it goes "This app is not available for your country." =( Help thx
I just reverted back to my Nandroid backup of the pre-ICS build of CM7 and now the game seems to work fine. Updated with the latest version on the App Store.
To be honest I much prefer the older version of CM7 as the ICS builds seem to be as laggy as the old stock Froyo ROM.

DirecTV Tablet App on Custom ROM - Reboots

I've tried the DirecTV tablet app on multiple 4.2.2, 4.3 and 4.3.1 custom Roms (CM, AOKP, Omni) and it keeps rebooting my tablet. The app will start and I input my credentials but after about 5 seconds I get a reboot. The tablet will keep rebooting over and over so I have to go to recovery and flash a nandroid.
On stock 4.3.1 the app works fine. Is anyone using the app on a custom ROM? I wasn't able to find any posts about the issue here or other forums.
I have also used both CWM and TRWP to flash each of the Roms with the same result.

I've been using the Directv app on Carbon 4.3 nightly with the ktmanta kernel w/o issue. Not sure what else to tell you. Are you using the tablet version?
My app version is 1.2.3 if it helps.

Ditto, I get the react same results as you, running ParanoidAndroid 3.99 rc2.
In reading your post I realized I had the stock phone app installed on my Nexus 10. The second poster said he was running the Tablet version without issue. So I uninstalled the Phone app and d/l'ed the Tablet version. I got the exact same result as you. It'd run for about 5 seconds and reboot the tablet. I also had to restore a Nandroid.
I just updated TWRP to the latest, so maybe that'll fix it. In the mean time anyone got other thoughts?

I Installed the latest Carbon nightly and the app works fine, no rebooting. CM and the others I tried must have commits that cause the issues and Carbon must not have them. Strange.
Guess its Carbon for me for awhile!
Thanks!

I use the DirecTV tablet almost daily on mrRobinson AOKP rom.
It would cause reboot loops on any version of CM 10.2 just a you describe.
The other day I tried Trinity kernel with CM nightly after a clean install and before starting DirecTV app. it appears that the kernel was at fault. The DirecTV app now works well.

Same here. Flashed Trinity over my ParanoidAndroid 3.99 installation and wiped caches. The DirecTV Tablet app now works flawlessly. Gotta be a Kernel conflict. Thanks!
