What is an SBF? Is it one or more of the following?
A. Image of the flash (on the Bravo, "/dev/mmcblk1")
B. Archive (like tar or zip)
C. Encrypted (like my wi-fi )
D. Signed (like an Xbox exe/xbe)

I know SBF is an official package. I was wondering if anyone knows it's contents, i.e., can look at/extract/explain the contents. We should look into it, ya know, to make sure there are no nuclear secrets or pictures of naked congresswomen in there... LOL
One option I forgot to list:
E. Patch (like PPF or source diff)

Hah, you are very funny. In fact, I wonder the sbf's contents. Hope someone can answer it~
you can use program called sbf depacker to view contents of it. see:
http://modmymobile.com/forums/402-general-motorola-android/530781-sbf-depacker-1-3-03-22-2011-a.html
anyways, i'm not sure if you can edit the files, but you can certainly view them.

Hi. I've always thought about this. Some people say something like this
Copy the file aroma-config and updater-script from META-INF\com\google\android\ from 3.1.1 rom.zip to 3.1.2 zip to the same path. He will say v3.1.1 during installation, but he will install 3.1.2 and you can select CLK again.

And what does it mean? When I edit zip file, it doesn't work. Is there a program for this?

Looks like the update (the zip) mentioned in the quote disables a feature on the HD2 that was present before that update. See here - shouldn't you have included that link
hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166948&page=1286
To prevent disabling the feature, the quote-poster advises to run the update with the updater script (the script that does the actual updating) replaced by an old version. To do that, download both update versions and replace the mentioned files mentioned in the post in the newest version. Rezip and apply the update.
Not sure if this is a wise thing to do if you don't know more about updating, restoring etc... At least backup your data.
No, it's just when I zip it after update, cwm doesn't want to install this and sees as damaged rom.
But 7-zip can change files in archive no need to unzip all. So it works
I've found that several people on XDA-Developers are confused or asking, how to use it or even wondering why the black window keep showing when they try to apply the sgmver.exe to a SBF. Most of the instructions I've seen are something like: Apply SGMVER to SBF...
Well, we need the following tools:
MotoAndroidDepaccker: 4shared.com/archive/4OvekGU7ba/-_MotoAndroidDepacker.html
SMGVER: 4shared.com/rar/yKlGlwiCba/smgver.html
We can use RDS lite 6.x to decompress the SBF if is in .gz format.
1. We start MotoAndroidDepacker once we have the SBF we wanna analyze
2. Click open from file and select the desired SBF file
3. Click split to folder and wait 'till it finish
4. Open the folder named affer the original sbf filename with the "extracted" addition, you'l find there de contents of the SBF.
5. Place (copy paste) the SGMVER.EXE and the VER.BAT files in that directory
6 Click the VER,BAT file and you are done.
A window will show you the bl version of the SGM files, it is common some of them have no signature data and it is normal, will display "no signatured data found. Close the window to finish, you can delete the files you pasted if you are going to repack them to a sbf.
I hope this minitutorial helps you,

Is there any tool to extract system.img?
UPDATE:
I found a way how to do it.
I used sgs4ext4fs by Chainfire to modify system.img and after that Ext2explore to extract files from modified system.img .
Also if anyone is interested how to extract hidden.img, first you need to modify it with sgs4ext4fs and after that use sgs2toext4. Then you can open modified hidden.img with ext4_unpacker and extract files from it.

Maybe you could repack it with root files to get root. There is a how to video on you tube. I would do it, but my linux machine is down.

bare with me on that one since I tried too many different options, following worked for me - required files attached here (I ziped, so hopefully XDA did not blocked it)
This is for Windows PC:
1. Download sgs4ext4fs.exe, and download firmware, unzip firmware up until you see system.img.
2. Open command prompt (on windows, click start, type cmd) where system.img, and type
sgs4ext4fs --trim system.img systemt.img
........ > you will see bunch of ............., but wait until it finishes.
3. Once it finishes it creates systemt.img, get sgs2toext4.jar (save it to the same folder), and open sgs2toext4.jar, and drag and drop newly created systemt.img to the window (sgs2toext4.jar's window), wait until it finishes, when it finishes it will create systemt.ext4.img
4. Now last step, download ext2explore.exe, and open it, and go to file --> open image and pick systemt.ext4.img, it will show the img file there (on both side of window), on the left side, select the systemt.ext4.img (should be showing full path), right click your mouse, and select save to your desktop or any other folder location you pick.
Obviously, next step will be odexing everything:laugh:

Thanks this worked like a charm!!! Great work!!!
I'm trying to install Wear 2.0 Developer Preview 3 on Huawei Watch. I'm currently using Developer Preview 2, so I thought I'd be familiar with the flashing process.
Anyhow, all the tutorials I managed to find include a part with running a flash-all.bat, which for some reason isn't included in the preview image package I downloaded from https://developer.android.com/wear/...ampaign=android_discussion_wearpreview_092916 .
Where can I get the flash-all.bat?
Edit: Umm, I decided not to go with DP3 at least for now. I thought I'd return to the official stock firmware, but how do I perform the flashing? Do I manually have to edit the file names in flash-all.bat to match the file name of the stock rom's name? Does it matter that the stock rom came as a .tgz even though the files mentioned in the flash-all.bat are .img and .zip? Damn this is confusing, and googling isn't helping at all...
This page is what I'm using as a guide. Worked fine though did take a bit to get the flash-all.bat to run. All files are included in the downloads. Top download is preview image. Bottom is to go back to stock.
https://developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads.html
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
The stock download from that page does not contain a flash-all.bat.
I used stock download for flashing and ewerything goes just fine. Just extract all packages in same folder. But if you are interested use this link http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Huawei Watch/Firmware. There is all revisions.

The downloadable files there are .tgz and do not include any .bats or .zips (I tried opening with 7-Zip).

Personally, I would be grateful if someone can provide me with the set of documents already downloaded and extracted; and, if I am not asking too much, to please give me a dumbman's procedure to get the Wear 2 software to work on my watch.
Having to now wait until early 2017 will surely drive me crazy!
I had 50pc japan version of s5(sc-04f), installed rom 'G900F.STOCK.FOR.SCL23.FULL.MINHQUAN'. The downside of this rom is that its pre-rooted. I managed to unroot it by goin in supersu & click 'full-unroot'. But i had multiple devices to flash, so is there a way for me to re-pack this firmware again after i unroot it? So that i could flash it to my other devices without root.

Your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

Generally, if it's 6.0.1 and rooted systemlessly, you need to replace boot.img with a stock one and remove SuperSU app from system.img.
This ROM intended to be flashed from TWRP, so it's an ext4 image.
You can mount it to a linux system on your PC and remove anything you want.
I havent done anything like this before. Could u give me some links or guides? My PC is running Windows 10.

Ok, here' a simpler way:
1. Make changes on one phone.
2. Make a TWRP backup of boot and system partitions.
3. Restore this backup on other phones. They must have TWRP installed, a 6.0.1 bootloader and modem.
You'll have to rename backup's folder path and to wipe cache/data/system before restore.
can i use winrar to extract & compile the rom, without linux? So that i will have a much faster flashing process for all other units..

Ok, I've managed to download that ROM at last.
The things look even simpler.
To prepare an "unrooted" ROM:
1. Download the zip form this post and unpack updater-script somewhere.
2. Make a copy of V3.G900F.STOCK.FOR.SCL23.FULL.MINHQUAN.zip, open it with Windows Explorer and replace V3.G900F.STOCK.FOR.SCL23.FULL.MINHQUAN.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script with the file you've unpacked from the attachment.
3. Try to flash ans see if it's what you need.
thx so much, already passed all units to the buyer. ill try that on next batch restock, may iknow if there's a way to get the service menu shortcode *#0*# to work again? This rom doesn't has the service menu.
