Flash with cwm
Rooted HC 3.2.1 A500 stock rom.
Superuser 3.07 bin 3.03.2.
Full Stock.
A500 Recovery removed so your cwm won't be deleted.
NOTE:
-If you OTA update in the future, root and cwm recovery will be lost !
-This rom is full stock A500 so if you got a problem with it you got a problem with Acer.
-Don't think I will give support on this rom this is here for DEVs and people who want latest A500 HC 3.2.1 rom that is rooted and flashable with CWM.
-Always take NANdroid backup before you flash anything !!
-Wipe Cache and Dalvik , if you still got problems wipe Data/system reset !!

i think I'm going to make a flexstriker light version based on this.

For real now...this ****ing rom was one of the most dificult to complete...
I had 1.0 working and i do the stupidest think to start making changes over the working zip so i ruin it...
i flash it over 30 times and allways it stuck on bootanimation...not only stuck...but the bootanimation it self stuck....im changing apk per apk now and im hopping this will be the last flash i will make!!!

Fixed uploading....im on 20+% and notice that the root explorer i put gives FC i will fix it but not now...just to know you need a proper root explorer!!
Pika is out..i have a match to watch and then die to sleep...
Tell me for any bugs...and if the black/transparent backgrounds are annoying to change it!!

check the build.prop ... lcd.density=200 or smthng not 240 may cause fail of capability in market.also check model & other stuff where need to be Huawei U8800pro written in

I always use 200 lcd without any problems..i check the model name brand...maybe this time is lcd...if it fixes the problem tell me

I count into 3 and install your rom in my U8800-51 and post my impression:
The rom is great. Clean.
I test success:
- Notification icon (work);
- FM Radio (work \o/ );
- Data (only testyng edge - ok);
But for me, the wifi don´t work (probably work in U8800Pro.... it´s bad only for -51 users....) So not support for MTD in transfer mode.
Overall it´s a good rom that will please a user U8800Pro that test and go in search of these characteristics I mentioned.

This rom is for u8800pro, no -51 (i tested for my own risk..). Stuck in the first attempt. And in second? For my first attempt reboot after logo operation (before huawei logo) and in second attempt boot normally (the first valid boot take a more time).

BTW this rom is functional after installation...

Relax, as I described in my last post, I used at my own risk .. And rest assured, I will not be asking you if you can fix, I lack time and some reading to correct myself :cyclops:

Not sure what went wrong. Did all wipes and installed this ROM, now phone is not booting.. Just shows Huawei Logo for 5 secs and restarts..
Force install of official firmware also not working
Not going into recovery also. Any suggestion?
I can go to pink screen and can see image folder in computer

SD download finished!

Connect in PinkScreen, open "image" folder then replace all files (should be 4) with official files (I archived and uploaded them for you, here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/80110807/image-official u8800pro.rar ) after that you should be able to install official ICS without problems.
EDIT: If you cant enter official recovery (vol+/- when powering on) and instead you get into pinkscreen, try making that dload folder on internal SD card ( thx Pikachukaki )

I install this ROM approximately 10x without these problems... So I do not know what could go wrong.
Installed and tested with CWM 6.0.1.5 by Ivan

[Q] How to Root defy+ DFP-891?

I have gone through lot of threads for defy plus on how to root a phone. what i did not see anywhere is my firmware version DFP-891 asia with android 2.3.4 . i dont want to end with a bricked phone so i ask you all pros here to help me out in laymans language. thanks.

1.iam still not sure if SuperOneClick roots defy+ correctly? as i head some people complaining.if not whats the alternative?

4 which stable Jelly Bean rom works perfect? links please.

Wifi tethering is like a hit and miss thing. It works for some, doesn't for others.

guys i rooted my defy plus with one click root app and it said root sucessful and still titanium backup and other apps show its not rooted, though i see super SU icon too. what could be the issue here? as superoneclick failed to root so i has to choose this one click app. i dont know how to proceed further. help

If you mean framaroot, then reboot and try again. Enable USB debugging.

i have finally rooted my defy plus and enjoying jelly bean CM10.2 . you all Rock!!
just two quick questions i have :
1. after flashing cm10.2 i dont see cynogen mod recovery i only have TWRP recovery. is this a issue to be tackled or twrp works same as CM recovery.
2. if i have to install another rom in future will i have to clear cache and delvic and install another zip or how does it work?
And by the way wifi hotspot works on this one

1. It's normal. You can use dual recovery if you want CWM, as TWRP has random reboot problems.
2. Use AROMA full wiper and wipe all and then flash.

that^ i am not sure, since i never been in sammy rom for a long time so i have no idea for compatibility or special tricks for updating
make a nandroid backup first...
but i think you can use that but DONT boot into system, after flashing that zip, reboot into recovery and proceed to full wipe and rom flash

Will flash your rom and will report later. I have checked the 4.4.1 zip with a zip viewer and All is OK. No message that wrong download, can open the archive.
