The CyanogenMod and FreeXperia team is happy to announce CyanogenMod support for multiple Xperia™ devices.
Users of Sony Ericsson devices have been left out of the CyanogenMod experience for a while now. We are happy to announce that users will be able to enjoy a full-fledged CyanogenMod with nearly full hardware support (we are still working on FM radio) starting in our next release. You can also expect nightly builds and more instructions soon.
Supported XPERIA™ handsets:
2010 phones:
- Xperia X10
- Xperia X8
- Xperia X10 Mini
- Xperia X10 Mini Pro
2011 phones:
- Xperia Arc
- Xperia Neo
- Xperia Mini
- Xperia Mini Pro
- Xperia Play
- Xperia Ray

Andreas Makris (Bin4ry), Diogo Ferreira (defer) and Alin Jerpelea (jerpelea, FXP) will be maintaining these devices from now on.
We would like to stress that work on the 2011 lineup would not have been possible without the strong involvement of Sony Ericsson with the developer community. In addition to providing unlockable bootloaders to all new devices, they provided us both with devices and technical expertise that proved invaluable in making all this happen.

So it's true....
Now we wait!
Good news

i cant wait! good job cyanogen and freeXperia team...
This is great news! Cant wait for their 1st native x8 release

OH
oh finaly something awesome... without any bugs OR BATTERY eating roms!
Guys, come and say thank to jerpelea (or FXP) and FreeXperia Team, or buy them some beers. He's been working very hard to be able to merge our Xperia series to CM.
It is still early in development, so many things still need to be done before our nightlies can be officially built.
Whats the advantage of this?

uhm. we will get our own nightly build? I think so.
This is a good news for everyone, wew.. haha...
Hope this will keep running and "WISHING GET A ICE CREAM SANDWICH because i want it" haha... Keep waiting.... (But why the blogs of cyanogenmod doesn't update our phone??)
have you read the post from the link ?
"you may be interested in knowing that the upcoming CyanogenMod release will feature support for 10 new devices"
just wait for the release
whats the diference between CM and gingerDX? does it have more stuff? faster? batterybug-less? or is it just a great news because it means better support for ours X8s?
Upcoming? 7.2 or earlier? Cant wait
yes some one please tell me the advantages of this?
does this mean a fully stable cm7 rom?
it meens more advanced developers working together to make there own CM version
If I understood dx well, our FXP's rom will be officially supported by CyanogenMod and will get all the official updates as soon as possible.
Or CyanogenMod devs and FXP will build it together?
Anyway, great news and be patient... we have everything now
Sorry for the noob question, but I can't perfectly understand...
What to mean "official"? Its a CM7 upgrade from Cyanogenmod, and its a "Custom" ROM? Or CM team works together with SE, and everyone can upgrade to CM7 with the SE PC Companion?
(I think ist a Cyanogen upgrade...)
Wow, it keeps on getting better for us

EDIT: I will stick with semc debrand engine
GOOD NEWS !!
Ok, so i spent a few bucks and increased my RAM, which is enabling me to at least make complete builds of source, and i also got my usb repaired.
I made the first build of AOKP.
It DOES NOT boot (x10) as of now.
I just merged freexperia's device trees (of CM9) into the aokp source tree and made a build.
here is the first build for x10
http://bit.ly/x10aokp1
also the first build for arc (lt18/lt15) {i do not know if it boots, as i don't have an arc to test}
http://bit.ly/arcaokp1
if any good rom cook is interested, you can try PORTING using files from these builds onto CM9 builds. {with credits}
(the apps will defiinitely work, the framework might or might not, port libs and bins intelligently, i have not much idea about porting aosp based roms)
i am very very new to the scene, and have extremely nominal programming knowledge, and i do not know where this project will take me, but i will not give up without a fight
more builds will come up soon
debugging is a pain in the a$$ because the android gadget is broken in kernel (that's for x10, for arc, i do not even have the device) and thus i cannot do the good old "adb logcat" to find errors.
once i get the arc build up, i might think or other devices too, but for now i ca nconcentrate only on arc and x10

Well done dude
The Alpha build works fine for me and for me its faster and better than CM9.
AOKP for X10!!!!!!
Wow! Finally! AOKP for X10! Go for it Champ!
--------
Ok, so it's not like this that I have 23 hours of free time each day, and it's not that any and every suggestion that pops up on this thread will be looked into, but I just wanted to ask you guys...
What new do you want on the X10?
I'll update the list below as and when people keep submitting their requests/suggestions
Of course please refrain from posting things like
"I want Windows 8 to run on my X10"
I want some suggestions that are at least 'plausible' if not 'possible'
-------------------------------------
1. Get camera working on ICS/CM9/AOKP
2. Dual boot gb and ics
3. CM7 kernel based on latest FXP125 sources with more features
4. CM7 and CM9 kernels for locked bootloaders
5. Xperia S ics rom port
6. JellyBean for X10 (in distant future, so not thinking of it right now)
-------------------------------------
I wanna ask you if you can build a kernel based on fxp125 cm7 kernel with additional governors, oc etc. Just like your previous one but based on updated by fxp 125 one. Thanks
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
Not asking for me but build cm7/cm9 based kernel for locked bootloader ( I am already unlocked lol). I dont know if its possible
I know that it will be an impossible work....but :
porting Jelly Bean for x10i..... Obviously the hardware features of the x10 are those....so you may try to bring the technical prescriptions of design or setting
thxxx
Focus on ICS ..
I think we have enough GB based roms..
It's jealy bean time beach!!!
Send from beneath my cloak of magic
I think your suggestions of a working camera and locked bootloader kernals would be great
1. Get camera working on ICS/CM9/AOKP
Dual booting ics along with gingerbread.. make gingerbread kernel default and we can boot ics by killing it.. something like that!!!

I believe making ICS kernel default would be better and getting the camera to work on ICS/CM9/AOKP.
Lord give us a team KTG 3.x kernel for ics. Whoops, wrong thread... jk. I would love it if you assisted tsuyou kou and the KTG team with their kernel development, as i believe the last commit to the 2.6.32.9 kernel was 1 month ago. Not bashing their work or asking for etas. Just hoping they can get more devs (assuming they want help of course...)
Cheers

seeing that cyanogenmod has released their official CM 9 for around 40 devices, would it possible to make a port of that to the x10? I might sound like an idiot, but that seems easier than building an entire ROM from scratch...

that will b awesome if all xperia S ICS goodies work on x10..
FPS unlock and camera on ICS would be awesome ! Just improve your AOKP and your kernels Champ, it's already really great ...
It's kinda off topic and useless, but I sent Sony Mobile an email about
camera sources (jni/wrapper).
You guys did a much better and well written topic, but maybe we can get something.
Just to ask, is buying/donating for Sony a possibility? In last case, would it be legally plausible, expensive?

if u could get some jelly bean apps working on x10 would be nice. the new keyboard and galary maybe.. oh xperia keyboard if u cant get jelly bean working with CM 7.2

How is this possible? MIUI V5 is for 4.1 and up, and so far, official MIUI ROMs have always been stock based. Does this mean that MIUI V5 for Arc will be CM10 based?

I'm not very acquainted with Kernels, so I hope I'm not making a stupid question... but for LT18i (Sony Ericsson Arc S International), in order to use it with MIUI V5 AND V4 which Kernel is recommended?
I have been trying to figure out which to use, but I only found the Fusion one...

I believe there is a kernel provided within the .zip, which you should use.
