So it seems that the tab can only handle one bluetooth item at a time. I was trying to play GTA 3 on it with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse but it seems like when I have one connected and then try to connect the other the first one desyncs ( thats a word right? ) with the tab and I am stuck with the device that I connected second.
Has anybody gotten multiple bluetooth devices working on the tab together? It would just make playing GTA 3 so much better.
I've used a bluetooth keyboard and mouse simultaneously. Never tried it with a game running though. Worked great for evernote and pocketcloud.
I have had 3 going at once. Headset, keyboard and mouse. No issues.
I've had keyboard (Zagg folio), earphones (Sony Ericsson MW600s) and BT link to my Charge for Tablet Talk all going at the same time. Just today in fact. No problems with any of them working at the same time (i.e., typing an SMS with the keyboard then sending it to the phone for delivery while streaming Google Music to the earphones).

Anyone else having issues with bluetooth devices on the atrix? I use a Liquidaux bluetooth adapter in my car with the Atrix docked in the car dock mounted to the windshield. It plays for a few minutes then the sounds starts cutting out, if I pull the phone out of the dock and move it to within a few inches of the adaptor it clears up. If I dissconect and pe pair, it fixes it for a few minutes then starts cutting out again. I tested with a pair of southwing headphones to see what kind of range i could get and was only able to get around 5 feet.
I have had bluetooth cut out a few times in my car. Music keeps playing with no working audio then a few minutes later it disconnects
My jawbone headset goes as far at 100 ft or more

The Bluetooth on the Atrix seems to be very on demand as compared to other devices. We have an HTC EVO and an HTC Aria in the household as well and they both stay connected to our Benz, but the Atrix seems only to connect when I'm about to make a call (which is all it's used for).

Completely agree with this. Whenever I turn on my bluetooth headset, it does NOT automatically connect to the Atrix. I have to manually connect every single time (Wireless Networks > Bluetooth Settings > Click Headset to Connect)/ Is there anyway to fix this?
Does anyone know if the Atrix BT is compatible with any BT keyboard, or only the one that comes with the Media Dock? I was thinking it would be convenient to use the Atrix with a Generic BT Keyboard and Mouse (which I already have), and not pay extra to get a Media Dock. (I realize I could use the Media Dock and plug in a USB BT adapter to use something like the Logitech BT Keyboard/Mouse set.)
I also wonder if the Moto Keyboard has decent keying? I have found it harder and harder to find ANY BT keyboards with decent keys lately. I really dislike the chicklet keyboards. Unpleasent to type on!
Thanks in advance.
I listen to stuff on my Galaxy Note via samsung bh 3000 Bluetooth headphones. My problem is that occasionally the sound just stops. It's not that the Bluetooth connection has been broken - the device remains connected, and I can still stop and start the playback by pressing the button on the headphones. When I do that stop and start, the sound comes back again if some budy call me.have flashed all diffrent kernels with some kernels it works some time. Any ideas of how to avoid this problem?

I have that problem too. I've only had my BT headphones a couple of weeks (Plantronics Backbeat 903+). I use Power Amp.
The BT connection is still active. Other sounds come through OK. The play button on Power Amp shows the pause symbol though, as if it is still playing. I usually have to force close PowerAmp and start it again to get the play button to work again and to be able to hear music.
Yesterday I tried using the stock music player when I went for a bike ride and it didn't stop at all. So I don't think it's a problem with the headphones or BT on the Note.
I don't like the stock player much (sound and interface) though, so I just downloaded the player pro demo and will see if that plays nice with my headphones.
I never noticed the problem when not using the BT headphones in PowerAmp, but I've never used it for a long period without the BT headphones.
I'm on the stock LC2 with root.
I'm using Nokia bt905i headphones as well as a parrot bt interface for my car stereo, and these for several hours a day. GN side, I use poweramp player and a series of Internet radio players.
Never had a problem of this type.
Kernel : cf-LC1, stock rom.

I did some more testing today.
I had the same problem using Player Pro, but again, no problems with the stock player.
What I did notice, that it seems to coincide with announcements I get through Sports Tracker.
So if Sports Tracker gives me an update on distance or tells me it has auto paused or auto resumed timing, then sometimes (not all of the time) Player Pro and Power Amp seem to freeze up and the play button is stuck on pause.
I have to stop the app via task manager to get it to work again.
The stock player doesn't seem to have any problems.
I'm not sure why, or if this is just a coincidence, and if it is just with BT (I only use Sports Tracker when I use my TT headphones too).
Maybe when Sports Tracker access the BT audio, it's conflicting with the way Player Pro and Power Amp access the audio, but the stock player doesn't have a problem?
But it's not all of the time either, sometimes I get the Sports Tracker updates and Power Amp and Player Pro keep playing fine...
Do you have anything else trying to access your BT audio at the same time too ?
If you are talking about Sports Tracker of Sports Tracking Technologies (there are many of them called "Sports Tracker"), from my experience I can say that this program causes a lot of problems in wireless communications of my Galaxy Note. For instance, it interacts badly with phone's wifi radio, so each time I use it, I first turn wifi off and, what's more, when I finish using it, I go through the application manager to Force Close Sports Tracker. Otherwise, sooner or later, I'll have to restart my phone! Notice, that while activated, Sports Tracker works fine with my polar bluetooth heart-rate belt (no disconnections).
Yes it is Sports Tracker of Sports Tracking Technologies. I haven't noticed any problems with wifi on my Note. I use wifi at home and it has worked each time I've come home.
It works fine with my bluetooth headphones in terms of giving status updates. But I'm starting to think those status updates cause Power Amp and Player Pro to freeze.
I might try Endomondo tomorrow and see if that makes any difference to Power Amp and Player Pro...
Therese a app called btswitch from market. It helps.the problem is you must switch it on every time

Just an update on this, I emailed the developer of Power Amp the other day describing the problem.
He sent me an updated apk.
I've used it for a 40 minute and a 60 minute session with Sports Tracker and my BT headphones and no music freezing. So he seems to have fixed the problem I was having.
I'm not sure if you were using Power Amp also, or some other music player. But if you are, it might be a good idea to contact the developer, or wait for an update if he integrates the changes into the next release.
Volume Boost app
What you're describing will happen if you have an app called Volume Boost on your Note. As the name implies it helps to boost the sound volume and bass a bit for your headphones. But I find interferes with Bluetooth and the built in FM radio when its activated.
If you have the Volume Boost app, set it that it does NOT come on at start-up and DON'T put it's widget on the home screen. Only activate it when you need it.
Tonight I connected an Apple bluetooth and mouse to my Nexus and notices that sites seemed to not load as quickly as they do with BT off. Is this common?
Also I couldn't figure out how to get my Magic mouse to scroll even though I saw a YouTube video where one does scroll just fine.
Hi,
I am a happy switchover to Nexus 4 from my iPhone, only thing I am starting to miss are some integration bits with my car audio system.
I am currently connecting the phone via bluetooth and it is working well, I can stream music and use built-in car dialler, however, I do not see what is currently playing on the car dash.
When I had the same setup using iPhone, I could see the currently playing song information. I can still skip to the next song using car's steering wheel buttons but I only see "Bluetooth audio" on the display.
I am using the default Google Play app to play music - have also tried with dogcatcher but no avail. On the iPhone various app worked - Music, Podcasts..
Second issue I have - is it possible to "force" phone calls to background when connected to bluetooth headset? I would quite prefer the satnav to stay on instead of seeing the current caller's information - as I already see that on my dash.
Thanks!

The first problem is caused by you and other people buying iPhone. You have contributed to pushing 3rd party manufacturers into supporting proprietary apple formats and communication protocols.
There is a perfectly fine Bluetooth protocol for track display, but your car stereo doesn't suport that, only the proprietary Apple one.
Hopefully you are now aware of the evil lock-in tactics that Apple have been engaging in, and next time you will check the product specifications to see see if your purchase is going to lock you in in any way.
Volkswagen and their bluetooth devices work fine with Android. It's Android that lacks a proper protocol to push that info to the radio. I know this because I worked with VW for months on troubleshooting the issue. Eventually, I obtained a stock galaxy S3 and it displays info just fine. With a custom 4.2.1/4.2.2 rom, it does not, just displays "BT-Audio".
CM is adding in bt tag support, but it currently doesn't work with play music, but is noted to work with pandora.
OP - your second issue is not possible. The radio automatically flips to the most recent info it has to display to you. You can manually toggle it back IIRC, as I can on mine.
I have the same issue:
See thread which explains a lot and could solve your issue:

We need to get AVRPC in our devices then it would work.
I drive an A5 SB with no go : ( to bad
yea the bluetooth works on my ford focus, but doesnt show the info of what track is playing.
I haven't been able to get either of my Bluetooth headsets to work with my N7. But before anyone asks, yes, I have searched the forum for answers but there doesn't seem to be any consensus on how to solve the problems.
I have the stock 4.2.2 ROM, unlocked and rooted. Bluetooth sees and connects with both of my headsets, each of which work with my Mint 14 desktop, but the only sound I get is an occasional clicking noise. Pretty much as if all of the audio is being clipped. Also, once a headset connects, I do lose sound from the internal speakers, as expected. But disconnecting the Bluetooth doesn't get it back. I have to reboot to get sound back.
My question is this: Is my problem due to the N7 having compatibility problems with some headsets or is this a universal problem. IOW, does anyone have a Bluetooth headset connected where both the mic and earphone work? And with all or most apps? I'm primarily concerned with having something to work with MagicJack.
I use my bluetooth headphones to listen to music. I just tried using Google Now with it (I put my finger on the normal mic so I would know which mic it was using) and It seems to work okay. Idk if it is the headphone or the connection but it took me two tried to get it to play music.

I just oredered a new headset off eBay that claims to work with the N7. We shall see.:fingers-crossed:
I'd like to know which Bluetooth headsets are known to work and on what models of N7 (grouper or tilapia).
If I understand correctly, an N7 wifi-only (grouper), will only respond to Bluetooth headset button presses and voice input if you modify the bool.xml file in framework-res.apk? Can anyone confirm that any Bluetooth headset will work (button presses and voice input) on grouper without that mod?
I've used my Bluetooth headset with my tablet without any tinkering, i didn't do much with it but it easily played/paused and changed tracks in Google Music. I've got Kinivo BTH220 headphones (yes they're cheap and are probably knockoffs. These had more details than the Artics or any other lookalikes and they work well enough for my needs) and a rooted stock N7. Oh and if your headsets giving you trouble check the pairing type under bluetooth settings. My phone has a habit of sometimes only pairing phone audio not media audio.

My Sony DR-BT22 headset has always worked great with the Nexus 7 providing I do not use the Wi-Fi at the same time. I am using a custom ROM but they worked fine with the std one.
All the headset controls work as well, pause. volume, rewind, skip etc.
But I have never needed to use the mic.
There is an issue when using both BT and Wi-Fi together. Either popping and stuttering BT or greatly reduced Wi-Fi speeds and erratic connection.
I posted about it here, but got no response....

I'm using a set of Motorola s10 Bluetooth headphones on my nexus 7.
I'm currently on the paranoid android Rom.
They work great out of the box.
All buttons work, I haven't tried voice commands though.
One thing to look for is some headsets will only pair to one device at a time.
In order to pair them with another device you have to factory reset them.
My particular headphones allow you to pair with one device for phone calls and a second device for music only.
But beyond that they require a factory reset to pair with anything else.
So if you already have them paired to your desktop you may need to reset them before pairing to your nexus.

I have the same and they work. There was an issue with WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time. Try disabling WiFi and see if you have any better luck.
If you do, the only way I've found that corrects this is to go back to stock 4.1, relock, update to 4.2 normally, then unlock, flash cwm, and go back to your 4.2 custom rom. Nothing else worked.
I had troubles with Bluetooth headphones and controllers when using WiFi yet they paired and worked perfectly on my sons stock 4.2 N7.
After going back to stock and reflashing the same rom/kernel combo, it magically started working. Try that.
