It's the only one on ebay like that though... my girl ordered 2 just to see what it is.
Do not buy microSDs or flash drives or any form of flash storage on eBay unless you trust the seller 100%.
There are multiple types flash storage devices of Chinese/Indian origin which are darn cheap.
1) The low quality ones.
These may or may not work. Some work for one write. Once you remove the drive, it's all gone. I don't know what they are but am guessing they probably use dead flash storage media or factory rejects. It's blind shot. If you are lucky, you might get a good drive(unlikely but not improbable) and if you are not, you are gonna end up with a dead flash drive.
2) The hacked ones.
These are real and good quality(somewhat) but here's the catch. Their real capacity is low. When you plug them in, they'd show the advertised space. Say 32GB but the actual space is likely to be 512MB or 1GB or 2GB or 4GB or whatever. Just way lower than advertised capacity. They hack the drivers/device firmware/chip to display a higher capacity when mounted on a PC. They will work fine until you fill the real capacity. Any files added after that would simply corrupt the data.
eg: A 1GB drive hacked to like a 16GB would work fine as long as you stores files lower in size than 1GB.
I bought a 32gb class 10 card for like $50 on ebay before and it turned out to be 32gb and class 10... the one I linked above is really fishy though. All the other Sandisk Ultra 64's are $150-$200.. this one is $17... wtf?
We're writing to let you know that this listing for an item you won or bid on is no longer available:
220957957285 - ^SanDisk Mobile Ultra 30MB/s Extreme 64GB 64G microSDXC micro SDXC micro SD Card
We understand this may be disappointing, but occasionally we need to remove listings. There are several reasons why we may remove listings, for example:
-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words that may create copyright or trademark issues.
If the seller offers you the item outside of eBay, don't accept the offer. These types of transactions aren't covered by eBay buyer protection programs.
Here's what you can do next:
-- If you won the item but haven't paid, don't pay. Since eBay removed the listing, you're no longer obligated to go through with the transaction.
-- If you paid through Western Union or MoneyGram, contact the company directly (Western Union 800-325-6000 or MoneyGram 800-926-9400 ). If you paid by check, contact your bank to stop payment.
-- If you paid for the item and it's past the estimated delivery time or if the item arrived but didn't match the seller's description, you can open a case in the Resolution Center:

Not surprising, since it was obviously not a legitimate listing. I'm shocked by how many people don't seem to be familiar with the adage "If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't".
I got burned on flash drives from ebay before. NEVER BUY FLASH DRIVES EVER FROM EBAY. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Friends,
I found following in SuperMediaStore:

Use Coupon code: SUPER30 to cut it for $22.95 with free shipping. Is it good?
Edit: My bad, I was just excited to got the link but seems it is regular SD.
Thanks
That link goes to a regular SD card, not MicroSD... a decent price for a class 6 card no doubt, but not useful for raphael
I have not seen MicroSD bigger than 8gb. Do they exist?
Best buy had 16gb in stock in eastgate ohio for 99.99
16gb at Amazon.com is $60ish.
I bought a pair of 4GB marked SD cards from supermediastore, that were only 1GB. They would not take provide RMA, or refund, or send replacement. They kept saying to try them in another computer. On 4 computers and 3 cameras (that all read SDHC) they were 1GB cards.
Not saying that will happen with your purchase, but I'll never purchase from them. Btw, I still get spam email from them after requesting a few times to be removed from their mailing list.
http://www.dell.com/us/p/mobile-venue-pro/pd
Unfortunately it states there is 8GB / 16GB storage which is not removable.
Looks like if there is an SD socket it won't be accessible without voiding the warranty, difficult to say for sure...
Mind you, I suspect they're not allowed to mention SD slots "officially" anyway. I'm still hoping the base model is 8GB of on-board NAND and the 16GB model has an 8GB card in the slot as well.
16GB is enough for me. Just as long as it's not 8GB, I'm happy.
Yeah me too. 16 Is good. I am more upset it isn't available for order.
Also interesting is it list 900/1700/2100 bands. So no European specific models? I hope thats what that means

No you don't get it. This is the USA website so it will show you a model that WILL WORK IN THE USA.
It just so happens that the bands are also supposed in Europe (900/2100).
Europe models however do not have the 1700 band.
So there are European specific models out there (just checkout clove UK and expansys UK).
Australia also a model that is 1900/2100.

I am aware of that. What I am wondering if expansys is wrong info and there is only one model that covers all. Nokia does it. This is the official website posting not 3rd party like expansys. Get it
Is there a dell/uk? What do they list
This is (possibly) terrible news.
But, you could interpret it to say it contains 8 or 16GB of Non-Removable storage, leaving the microSD slot free for expansion.
If you look at the official Samsung website for the focus, there is no mention of the microSD slot. All it says is: "8GB ROM On Board Memory". I hope that this is the same situation.
No, the worst news has been confirmed.

My order is getting cancelled. I'd be better off with an Omnia 7, as it'll work better in daylight. Unfortunately it means I've lost at least 2 weeks of having a decent phone for nothing. As much as I like the look and the keyboard, the big number 1 reason I ordered it was the microSD slot. Without that, I can't justify the massive upfront hit of the SIM free price over the contract-subsidised price of another handset.
I'm rather irritated right now.
Still can't find out any info officially (contacted dell uk and they have no clue)
On the clove website I see the below.
8GB Memory
Expansion Slot Yes
Type MicroSDHC
Capacity (Up to) 32GB
I am sure in a few days time it will all be confirmed by someone.

If the build is like all other phones, the microsd should be behind that cover. We probably won't find out until someone daring enough is willing to open up the back and take a look. Compared to the HD7, it looks like only a screw is holding it in place.

This is the whole problem with this phone. Dell doesn't even list full specs on this phone. Even the official page just lists only some specifics. But from what I read and seen, the UK or unlocked version seem only to have 8GB.
it's 8 GB >.> why do you guys need more so badly.
I'd be satisfied with that.
I have my 32 GB Zune HD that I am fully satisfied with continuing to use for music and video. I love my Zune.

I have 11GB of music. Therefore an 8GB phone is not enough. I'm sure many people have much more music.
You might say I don't need all my music on my phone, but that argument will fall down the moment I think "I've not listened to that track in a while... and I still can't because it's not on my phone". It also falls over when I've copied my 6GB of music I really want to carry around with me, and then I fancy taking a film or tv show with me, but I can't because I have no storage space left.
You might say use Skydrive, but with most networks here capping monthly data at 500MB, that'll get used up pretty quickly, particularly if video is required. Zune Pass has this issue too, coupled with the fact that most of my music is soundtracks and rather obscure stuff, none of which is available on Zune (I've looked).
Ill be satisfied if there is a 16GB version as appears there is on Dell's website. It was either 8Gb with accessible micro-SD expansion, or 16Gb without it. I can live with 16Gb. I have a 32GB zune im nowhere near halfway through. 8Gb was just way too little though.
No SD card kind of sucks, but it's all good. I'm sure someone will find out where the sd card is hiding. Unless it's onboard? If it's NAND, then I'd prefer 16gb of that vs an sd card slot, to be honest.
I emailed clove yesterday and got this response a few minutes ago:
We have checked with our supplier of the Dell Venue Pro and they have confirmed that the early demonstration models they have seen did feature a microSD slot. Due to this we would assume at this time that the Dell Venue Pro does feature a microSD slot.

Not sure what to make of this.
That says to me that they have no more of a clue than any of us at this point!
Some people who have purchased the Venue Pro are saying they can't find the SD card slot, certainly not in the battery compartment, but others hold out hope that it is there underneath a cover and is reasonably easily accessible.
I hope we find out for sure by the 16th because I may have to reconsider the purchase if it turns out the SD card slot really isn't there or it's too embedded to get at without voiding the warranty.
8GB is not enough - my HD2 has a 16GB card and that has zero free space, in fact I was looking forward to doubling up to 32GB so I could put a bit more of my mp3 collection onto the phone.
Keep your eyes peeled for real evidence one way or the other...

it honestly boils down to keyboard and amoled (venue pro) vs no keyboard and no amoled with higher price tag outright (hd7)
I like wp7, it took a lot for me to get used to it granted but it is "enjoyable"
That said a keyboard would enhance my experience
Has anyone replaced their micro SD card and experienced the Zune sync pretty much hanging the device? I replaced it with a Kingston 32GB C4 card and it all seemed to work fine until I went to sync. I can get about 10, maybe 20 songs, sync'd, then it freezes. Kinda sucks.
I'd be very interested to hear how this goes - I have to wait at least aother month for my Venue Pro and I have a Sandisk 32GB C4 card waiting for it, so I will end up in the same boat as you.
(Except mine's Sandisk rather than Kingston, of course)
Please keep us posted on what happens. Incidentally, did you try another hard reset yet?

No I am simply saying that the brand and class could affect the performance.
Maybe Sandisk and Class 2 are better for the dell venue pro?
Yeah, I dunno. I picked up another 16GB Patriot C4 - haven't tried that yet. I did a soft reset and cleared all apps, seems to be *somewhat* better although it's definitely not right still. I'll probably swap out the card again and give it ago.
Where were you able to find a 32GB SanDisk C4?
I got mine from Amazon 2 weeks ago. It was like $90 with same day delivery.
16GB Patriot...better, but still not great. Replaced the stock 8GB card and it appears to work as normal. I'll order the SanDisk one - seems like that's the way to go.
Edit: And did you get a C2 or a C4? I can find the C2 on their site, but the only C4s I see are Kingston and other brands.
Class four, even though the picture depicted a class two when I received it it was a class four card.

Are you sure it's a genuine 32Gb card? So many fakes floating around that bomb out after you try to copy more than a couple of hundred Mb to them.
Yeah...1.) It's Kingston, which is a brand I think most people trust. 2.) The device shows ~30GB of free space after the reset...so yeah, pretty sure Plus, the issue still occurs, just at a smaller scale, with the 16GB card I got, from another reputable manufacturer.
Thus far, it's taken about 1hr to copy ~850MB of files over =/
There's the issue with WP7... By the time you realise it's not an issue with the card but with your device, you're out of warranty .
Warranties are not worth a thing. What matters is the Sale of Goods act. A manufacturer cannot refuse to repare a faulty device just because you peeled a label off and replaced a card. Unless the fault is caused by the replacement of the card.
You might have to threaten them with Small Claims court action, but rest assured you'll win.
Voiding a warranty is not the same thing as losing your consumer rights. Warranties are provided by manufacturers, consumer rights are provided by law. Law trumps manufacturers. End of.

Doesnt really apply since the Dell isnt available anywhere apart from the US which doesnt have such laws. However we can sue so I guess it evens out in the end.
It's also kind of a hard sell because it works perfectly with the stock 8GB card, so it's kind of hard to call it a fault with the device.
Minor update:
Purchased a 16GB Wintec Class 10 and it did ~850MB in around a minute or so. Definitely closer to what I'd expect.
for those who bought 'class 4' Sandisk - I've found nothing on SD's site to indicate that they even make a C4 card...so, i dunno what to say about that =/ Bought a class 2 32GB from newegg...should be here monday. Hope that works out so I can actually replace my ZuneHD
Sandisk 32GB Class 2 card in my DVP right now. No issues, loaded it up with a ton of videos and music and its working well. About 10GB free of the 30GB right now.

If you buy a 32Gb card ensure that it is a good one and do not buy one from Ebay if it comes from China and only cost ~$15.00. That is total junk!!!

Just as a bit of further info on the ones which I bought off ebay - they did tend to be reasonably good at refunding the £$ - I think they seem to go off the idea that it's a better business model to avoid negative feedback. A lot of buyers don't check these cards (and USB drives) properly and think it's all good and follow up with good feedback. Sometimes you might have to negotiate a decent refund though but stick to your guns and follow through with your dispute (item not as described/counterfeit) if required.
In any event, good luck.
Got a 32GB Micro SD card from Ebay from Hong Kong as well, a month or so ago. The card took almost a month to arrive. When i got it I tested the R/W speeds. They were awful. But, even so, i tried a consistency test. Of the 32GB of data copied, only 512 weren't corrupted. Basically, what the guy does is picks up faulty 512 MB MicroSD (faulty since they don't comply with Class 2 minimum requirements) and changes the Card information sector to inform the pc/device that it is 32GB when it really is 512. I confronted the buyer with this (had tons of positive reviews btw) and he said that he would refund me, and was sorry but it was an accident. I insisted he send me another card instead. A week later, i receive an email from ebay saying that this user had it's account compromised and that he seemed to be a known scammer. All great as you can see. Honestly, I will only buy again from Amazon or so...
Hopefully, the same won't happen to you. I felt so foolish... Particularly since I'm getting a PhD in Computer Science -_-'...

I don't believe there are any legitimate class 6 32gb cards available yet... I did a lot of research before buying mine and the best available so far from legitimate companys was class 4, so that what I went with. I got a class 4 32gb Kingston. And you're right, it doesn't look like Kingston released any class 2 versions, so make sure you thoroughly test your card. Its possible Kingston released class 2 cards for OEM purposes and never sold them retail, so they may be legitimate... but considering you bought it off eBay, I would have doubts its legitimate. Its best to buy flash memory from well known stores like newegg.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Also guys, before giving good feedback load the sd card with about 20Gb of data, remove the sd card then re-insert and see if the files are corrupt... I've found a few "32Gb sd cards" that will hold 32Gb of data and registers the files are still on the card BUT the info gets badly corrupted and disapears when you take out of the card reader.
Won't say ALL sellers are crooks on Ebay, but 99% definately are. Only advice would be to see if they have been a member for a long time, they don't seem to survive too long if they are crooks...
in case you come across this at ebay:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16126632...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_151wt_1299
chap is selling an unbranded 64gb card for $23.00. seller has 100% positve feedback. friend of mine ordered it and it arrived fine. however, he tried it out on his note 2 and:
- card had a hard time retaining files. folders he created (with items) would come up as having zero contents
- occassional error when pasting files. frequent crashes
do avoid as you might end up paying for a dud.
cheers
pop the card into a card reader and see if you can copy 40Gb of data to it.
I suspect it is a 32Gb card that is being disguised as a 64Gb card.
not surprised, no name.
you get what you pay for
This kind of fraud is common on ebay; your friend should file a complaint to get this jerk off the store with his faked feedback.

yeah, he's filed a complaint via paypal and hopefully he gets his money back. i had a peak at the card itself, popped it into a card reader and it was showing up as 64gb. had 62gb available according to the card properties. tried pasting some stuff on it but an error message came up after i tried popping in a hd movie file roughly 4gb in size.
