[ROM] StreakDroid 2.3.3 Italian and INTERNATIONAL "Problems with market fix"
If your having problems with downloading certain apps from market or your getting a message saying your device is incompatible try changing the density back to 160 reboot and the market should be working again.
Update: Thanks to Maxicet again for this stable rom and for pointing this out. If you want to keep the newer market in this build change the density to 160 or read Maxicet's recommendation (see point 18) on the first page of his rom post to keep the current ROM's density and the market working in 190.
Where do u change the density.
Update; build prop.
Sent from the SuperStreak! ;-)
Yes in the build.prop
or read ALL my recommendations (see point 18)...
@ maxicet, sorry if I overstepped my bounds just wanted people to know if they wanted to keep the most recent android market the default 160 dpi needed to be applied. I'll try to be more specific before I post next time. By the way awesome build its running very smooth and no force closes or reboots so far it's been running over 24h now.
Is there ready rom with transparent status and notification bar?
I have tried find that mod, but i haven´t found..
And i have tried couple differend mods witch hasn´t been made in defy and usually phone stucks
What phone do you use? I have a Defy+, so this answer may not apply.
There are very few ROMs available to choose from (as most of them seem to come either from Quarx's CM10 or MIUI), and these do not include any notification transparency support.
What I did was to apply the update zip from this thread over Quarx's CM10 ROM (I just updated to 20130318). This gave me a transparent notification bar for the default theme, but you must be warned that if you change your theme, then it probably WON'T remain transparent, as different themes can specify that their status-bar is opaque.
Some themes already come with a transparent setup for the notification bar (for example, I used one called "Blue Line"), but the majority do not. In these cases you need to actually edit the theme in order to get transparency back (as explained in this post), however installing a modified theme will require you to not just decompile and recompile the theme .apk, but you also need to re-sign it (and finally, some will refuse to apply unless you remove some preview.png files within).
Notice that even themes with a transparent notification bar will not be displaying as transparent until after you apply the update zip I linked to first.
And this is JUST for the notification bar. I've been reading around a bit on how to add transparency to the notification drawer, but the steps required have just turned me off from trying that.
In brief, a transparent bar with the stock theme is easy. If the theme you like doesn't includes it, then it's going to take getting your hands dirty...
It shows that Android is based on Linux when it requires all this voodoo magic for a transparent notification bar T_T'
I have installed that statusbar mod. And it seems to working fine.
Does anyone know is those slim rom´s how stable and fast?
I like quarx´s rom´s cause they are so fast.
I just upgraded to the Slim Bean 3.1.0 by Kayant. I must say the transparency settings for status-bar / notification-bar are really awesome (it even works with installed themes).
The ROM works very well, if you read the comments on the linked thread, you'll see that it is a pretty neat ROM. Some users reported problems with using different CPU schedulers, but I personally use "CPU Tuner "with the default government (onDemand) which works well so far. However, the voltage settings gives me an error saying that it cannot retrieve the values, thus I cannot undervolt my Defy+.
Notice that this ROM uses Quarx's kernel underneath, so performance should be very similar. Unfortunately, the last update to that Slim Bean release is from February 25, meaning that it uses Quarx's kernel from the 20130217 nightly.
I should try poking that thread to see if there's any way in which us users could update the underlying kernel.
EDIT: Lookie here, it looks like Kayant is keeping an eye on Quarx's development, so we may get an updated kernel anyway
Kayant said:
Well it looks like Quarx has finally got new wifi drivers working and man it really showed me how wrong I was to have even attempt porting it myself because my method was so wrong and would have never work. I guess I will leave the kernel stuff to the experts
Now am going to wait and see if Quarx updates his repos more then I will try compile the new kernel with the new wifi drivers and hope it will work without me having to build the roms from starch ^_^

You need to register on the forum, then give the poster "Thanks!" ("Agradecer") before the download link becomes available ("descargas").
Kayant's release is based on Slim Bean 3.1.0, whereas 3.1.2 seems to have only two differences: "Update Me" (a program to handle updating the ROM from within the phone) and updated translations. So it's not that big of a difference...
I have no idea what kernel is running in the Slim Defy release, it only mentions that it has support for updating/using JellyX. I would not be surprised if it is Quarx's kernel, though.
Kayant is going to soon work on updating his ROM releases to 4.2 JellyBean rather than 4.1.2, so I don't think it's correct to say "updating" has come to a stop on the Kayant releases. It might be worth following his thread.
That's all I know, sorry if it isn't enough.
Hi !
i added the navigation bar by adding a new line (qemu.hw.mainkeys=0) in built.prop with success. But they are too big? any ideas to make them smaller or is there any mod with smaller navbars ?
ROM: CM10 official nightly
Device: LG p700
no go

Here i present to you updated fonts for our Xperia devices.
I have taken the AOSP font files from AOSP master(except for noto which is from 6.0.1 branch)
The Sony font files are from Xperia Z5,E6653,32.0.A.6.200
I have manually edited the XML files to match AOSP without losing any of the Sony fonts.
The zip was built using Android Script Creator made by @Octanium91 with updated binaries by me.
The updater_binary used is the one from ArchiKitchen - Android Kitchen made by @JustArchi .
The updater script was written by me.
This should work on any version of android xperia rom, however i have only tested on 5.1.1 on an Xperia Z C6603.
There is no clear changelog for this, but some highlights are:
Update Roboto font files to upstream version 2.01289, this fixes the accidental omision of IPA tone mark ligatures.
Update NotoColorEmoji font to Unicode 7 and 8, see all the new emoji here: http://blog.emojipedia.org/android-6-0-1-emoji-changelog/
Better compression for NotoColorEmoji
Please leave any feedback you have.
Feel free to use this in your own project or rom, but please don't forget to give credit to me.

Flash with recovery (Tested on TWRP)
Update:V5 released.
Changelog:
Sony Fonts updated to Z3 Concept M build 2186
SomcUDGothic-Regular.ttf was depreciated so its removed
Add backward compatibily symlinks as described in fonts makefile
Remove DroidSansFallback since its intended only for SMALLER_FONT_FOOTPRINT build
Remove MTLmr3m.ttf as the full Japanese font is already included.
Updated to the full set of NOTO fonts as defined in the makefiles
Removed all hacks that make some of the black and white emoji show up as color. This issue needs to be fixed in the keyboard not in the fonts.
The Zip does a clean install every time now to prevent issues.
Update:V3 released.
Changelog:
Updated noto-cjk from v1.002 to v1.004
Updated nono-other fonts to git revision 33d499e
Update Roboto fonts to 15/08/20 build
WIP new explanations of what this is:
Google keeps compiled fonts in the AOSP source tree.
These fonts are updated sporadically and the updates don't get spread out well through all branches and releases.
Even worse, even the master branch fonts in AOSP are sometimes heavily outdated when compared to the fonts's sourcecode project. Unfortunately part of the compiling process is still closed source so we have to take what we can get, e.g. AOSP binaries.
What my mod does is cherry pick the latest font description XML from AOSP (usually master branch or a marshmallow tag), and merge that with the the XML's from Sony.
All the fonts that get used according to the XML are then cherry picked from their respective repositories on AOSP.
The Sony XML and Sony Fonts are taken from Z3 Marshmallow concept and/or Z5 roms, they are generally the same.
So in a nutshell this mod updates any outdated AOSP and Sony font on your phone and replaces the XML files so all those fonts actualy get used.
I also delete a few fonts that are either unused or depreciated.
This will work on any rom that uses the AOSP locations for fonts and XML's but it will not delete fonts that are not on stock roms so it could leave some clutter behind.
This mod does nothing to the input side of things, so you will need a marshmellow 6.0.1 aware keyboard to be able to type the new emoji's,
It seems to work out of the box on the sony keyboard and there are modded google keyboards available too.

Great thanks for confirming
Just tested on my M4 Aqua. I can see all the new emojis but does the mod does not work with Google Keyboard but Xperia Keyboard works fine
I found a modded Google keyboard with all emojis enabled https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=profile&uid=24052804347772174
can i use in xperia p cm12.1?
does the emoji support?
and how to install it?
I will look into rewriting the description based on your inputs.
To install it simply flash it from recovery
The mod will work on any rom that uses the standard AOSP location for font related files.
Since this is made for stock rom's on other roms some fonts might get orphaned since they are no longer called in the XML files,
Additionally the Sony fonts will replace some other fonts which might look strange if a view was designed for a specific font.
I also want to add that these fonts are the newest pre-compiled ones i could find, but that the source code for the fonts is actually many commits ahead of what google provides in AOSP. I can't compile the fonts myself so this is the best i can do for now.
Inputwise i'm glad to hear that the sony keyboard works, the google keyboard probably needs to be the one from marshmellow 6.0.1 onwards. thats probably what the linked modded keyboard is,

Well it works fine on my Xperia M4 Aqua with 5.0 Stock. I think it would be nice to have a zip to revert to regular fonts.

Great that it works. However reverting does not seem to make a lot of sense. Can you explain a scenario where it would make sense?
The only way a revert zip would work is if i backup the original files and actually wipe the whole font folder.
Even then you would get the same files back but with the unfixed bugs and unused fonts
Thanks for the update. Works fine on Z2 5.1.1

The revert zip would be useful if it does not work or it causes a bootloop. In that case, you go into recovery and flash the revert zip

it fully function. all emoji can be use.
:good::good::good:
V3 uploaded.
This time i was able to get many files from upstream.
See first post for details.
Nothing has changed with regards to the (un)installer or the ability of keyboards to use new emoji's
I tried to compile the emoji font myself as there seem to be quite a few updates upstream but my server crashed, maybe some other time.
Version 5 released.
This will be the last version for a while i think, google is working on their font compiling framework and i don't expect any updates until they finish that part.
Note this version contains no emoji hacks, so some emoji's will display as black and white if they use the wrong unicode-code.
Confirmed working on Xperia M2
On Z1 Compact the updated emojis appear in the stock keyboard, but the flash really ruined a custom theme I was using (!). As if I installed some weird new theme. Why is that?
BTW, how can we use all those fonts?
I have a wiko rainbow.
the native rom when i bought it was android 4.2 jelly beam.
and when i add picture to mms, it's always auto resize in 30kb or 80kb max, however i check 300k max size in settings.
i found a modified native apk which fix this bug.
But this modified apk isn't available on kitkat roms, and not more on loolipop roms.
Which line of text in this mms.apk can I change to correct this problem, in order risizing mode not pass over the settings size max.
Thanks for advance.
i know the better way is to use an other dual sim mms.apk from google store, but no over one is so easy to use for display the 2 sims with operator compagny name. In france my sim1 is called ''orange" and sim2 " freemobile", and i can choose color for each of them
the others apk only display "sim1" or "sim2"
