Flashing does NOT affect NCK (network lock). Once unlocked, your Focus will stay unlocked, regardless of what ROM you flash on it (same if you update/revert through Zune etc)

Got it, Thanks.

go flashing, joy rainbow rom, nothing to doubt

Now you can up the mi7 rom. This is very nice, full unlock,...etc. This is based on official rom of rogers

Getting excellent battery life after flashing (it was 1 day previously, now it is 2 days )....

Questions about putting T-Mobile Rom On my I337

Ok. so after being with AT&T since 1998, I went to T-mobile and activated an account today. Last night I also did the mod enabling all the T-mobile AWS, HSPA & LTE bands on my AT&T Galaxy S4 and it was a success. Everything works great, I already have the T-Mobile Sim card installed, and T-Mobile LTE and HSPA is very fast.
I've been flashing ROMS, Kernels and radios for several years on many many different phones and tablets, However this is the first phone I've delt with, with a locked bootloader and also the first time wanting to use a different carriers ROM. The phone is already rooted, with TWRP recovery and I'm running CM 10.2.
Should I flash a T-mobile radio and ROM now that I plan on sticking with T-mobile. If I do, can I flash any T-Mobile based rom, and TWRP will automatically Loki Doki it or whatever it does lol? I don't usually have these questions, but this locked bootloader crap really sucks. The phone is only a month old, so I don't really want to buy a T-Mobile version when I got all of T-Mobile's bands working.

You need to flash the rom, then your loki doki kernel, I do not recommend flashing a different radio, that could brick the device, although, it has been done, and I think our MDL and MF3 modems are sufficient enough to get the correct speeds for your device.

Thanks for the reply, my last question is, how do I Loki Doki the Kernel. The MDOB ROM i was using, and also CM10 did the self locking thing, Is LOKI something I flash after flashing the ROM.

Go to my guide here, at the bottom of post #1 is a patch called loki-doki.zip, that would be what you flash after every rom, I do that everytime I flash roms.

[Q] SIM Unlock on SPH-L720T

Hello!
I am about to travel to Europe and I was wondering if I could do this and use a SIM card purchased at the airport. Is that possible with this model? I'm on AOSP but willing to go back stock/rooted if needed.
Thank you.
As far as we know there is no domestic or international unlock for the triband version. You can call sprint if you've had the phone for over 90days and ask them to unlock it.
good advice. spoke to Sprint and stated they have unlocked my phone.
now, would I need to revert to stock in order to properly use SIM cards after unlock? im running Carbon ATM but would flash a TouchWiz ROM if needed.
No there is no chance of unlocking it. not for today anyway. u need to contact sprint with working sprint simcard in the phone and beg them to unlock it for u.(possible they will not)
ok guys, like I mentioned before, Sprint unlocked my phone. Do I need to revert to a stock-based ROM in order for it to work or will it work on my current ROM? I know this will be helpfull for a LOT of people.
Thanks.
Finaly we have unlocked device
Well i think now its good for you to be on stock based room wathever your version is ng5 or nc6 . And if you like to help other like me for unlocking our devices i think its good to be in contact with DaisFlague because he is working on unlocking our l720t version of s4

Ok cool. Why is Sprint giving a hard time unlocking devices? Just took me one chat conversation with a rep and she didnt hesitate to unlock it for me. Only thing was that Im running Carbon ROM and I dont know if I needed to be on a stock-based ROM in order to make it work.

Verizon note 4 unlocked on Cricket (AT&T) network custom rom

I'm new here but have been following xda for years. I'm not new to rooting or flashing custom roms but after a few days of searching I can't find an answer to the following question.
I have and unlocked Verizon Note 4 n910v running Android 4.4.4 on the Cricket (AT&T) network. If I'm going to install a custom rom, do I need to find a rom for Verizon or for AT&T? Also can anyone clear up the rumor about a locked bootloader on this device? Any help would be awesome!
If you have already unlocked the bootloader on the 910V, I'm not too sure what rumor you are referencing regarding a locked bootloader ::
As far as roms go, it's a Verizon device so you need Verizon roms and firmware.

For ROMs, you must install verizon ROMs because the phone uses verizon-customized hardware.
It is no rumor that this device comes with a locked bootloader. However, thanks to the talented devs here at XDA, there is now an official way to unlock the bootloader; but you have to update to Lollipop 5.1.1 and BPA1 baseband.
I'm using a T-mobile sim in my verizon note 4 without unlocking the bootloader on lollipop and BPA1, so you shouldn't worry about your sim not working after updating. Have fun!
you have a misunderstanding of unlocked. what you are referencing is that you are using the factory unlocked gsm portion of the modem in the verizon model phone. you are NOT bootloader unlocked as you are still on 4.4! if you want to truly unlock it (as in the bootloader) then you will need to upgrade to 5.1.1 (BPA1) via odin. There are several tutorials on how to achieve this, and unlocking (including one that i wrote on the main thread).
to answer your question about using a verizon rom or a t-mobile rom, you can try any snapdragon rom that you would like, but there is NO GUARANTEE that they will work as each developer compiles with or without certain components. what ever you do, do NOT try to flash other carrier (at&t, t-mobile, sprint, etc.) firmware. BIG NO NO! although you claim to have experience with rooting and flashing roms, i would advise you to ALWAYS stick with the carrier variation of whatever device you are working with until you get a better understanding of the different components to a phone i.e. bootloader, modem, rom, etc. xda-university has a nice explanation of these things. so go read up on these things. if you need help, feel free to ask.
Thank you for everyone's advice. Upgrade to lollipop via Odin and bpa1. Got it. As far as custom rom goes, use a Verizon carrier custom rom.

Looking for straight forward answer.can verizon htc 10 be debranded?

Since theres no straight forward answer and the guides seem to be all over the place i was looking for a straight forward answer.can this be unbranded to like the dev edition or something else?

Here is about all I can find from someone reliable.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68150390&postcount=866
--To me this says - it should be fine to flash the full US Unlocked RUU/firmware, which is x.xx.617.x, I think the latest is 1.91.617.1
I personally have flashed the pmic-8996-1.img from multiple firmwares including, International, US Unlocked, and Tmobile testing out WiFi drain. So, some bits are ok, but the aboot.img (bootloader) contains the partition, so anything other than VZW or the US Unlocked could result in a brick.
Until someone takes the plunge and reports back, or unless their are people out there whom have done this but not seen the posts asking the question. So hopefully if they are out there they will see this thread and comment.

Reviving this to ask a related question:
Can I safely flash the latest U.S Unlocked radio to my VZW 10 which has the latest VZW firmware?
If you flash the unlocked radio you will most likely lose all your verizon features such as volte and so on I would not if you use verizon services. For what purpose would you want to may I ask ? If you want to run your Verizon version on At&t or Tmobile there are threads on both I believe, but you should have support for other carriers already I believe as I think you will just get a non Verizon sim message is all but AndyBones can direct you on how to remove that nag.

I'm not actually using the phone on Verizon network, I bought it second hand and using it on Rogers network in Canada. Everything runs fine including LTE, but reception is weaker than on my M7 (purchased from Rogers) hence my wanting to try the U.S Unlocked radios to see if things improve. Similarly voice call quality is not that great though it has improved with the 1.82 firmware upgrade.
I don't mind testing out the radio myself, just need some assurance about being able to without bricking the device due to firmware mismatch or other incompatibilities. As pointed out in this thread very little information exists out there from people who have unbranded their VZW 10s or flashed non-VZW radios.
Have you tried running the latest RUU for the Verizon HTC 10 ? This may fix your issue if you have not already. Also I think on another thread Dottat posted a method to reset your bands of some some if you look on his thread for being able to use the unlocked 10 on Verizon he has it posted on there I believe. Resetting the bands or modem has worked for some people with issues with signal.

I'm not having an "issue" per se, I just want to see if I can get improved reception with a new radio, so I don't think an RUU flash would change much (I have already reset my modem for a separate issue).
Thanks for your help, I'm hoping that andybones or another dev can answer my question about being able to flash a non-vzw radio safely.

Is Rogers a CDMA based carrier (I legit don't know). You may need to do an entire us unlocked swap, not sure if anybody has tried that yet with a vzw phone.
No Rogers is a GSM network but my VZW 10 works fine on it.
If by debranding you mean to convert it to US Unlocked version, then Straightforward answer: Yes. You don't need to read further if all you needed was a yes or no, but I felt I should post what I did to convert it to US unlocked from Verizon for others who might need help.
Verizon 4G LTE devices are already unlocked. So, just to be sure, I S-OFFed my device first via sunshine. While S-OFFing, I chose the option of S-OFF with locked bootloader. Then I changed the CID to BS_US001. Didn't have to change the MID as it was the same as US unlocked version, i.e. 2PS650000. Flashed latest TWRP (for nand backup just in case). Flashed US unlocked RUU 1.8X.617.X. Successfully updated to 1.96.617.2 via OTA.
One thing that I immediately noted after converting to US Unlocked version was that the option of OEM Unlocking which was previously not present in the Verizon version became available in the Developer Options. Hope it helped.

Hi GrimJoke,
Thanks your post! Since I last posted here I've managed to do exactly as you described and ran the Unlocked RUU, updated to 1.96. Now running stock ROM and everything works great, and in fact the phone runs better than it did on vzw software.
I've noticed the same regarding OEM Unlocking. I read from Captain Throwback here that we should now be able to unlock the bootloader with htcdev and with superCID 22222222. I won't try since it's pointless for me.

how about from Verizon to complete wwe using wwe radios for international gsm network?
does volte work with tmo, att etc after gsm?

Unlocked AT&T S10+, can I flash it with a Tmo ROM?

This may be a rather basic, question, but I'm trying to play it safe so I don't brick my S10+ (SM-G975U). Can I download an official Tmobile Android 10 ROM and flash the phone with it? The phone is not rooted and the bootloader hasn't been touched (at least by me).
I purchased an unlocked AT&T device and use it on Tmobile without issue. I am not, however, receiving any updates from AT&T or Tmobile, so I'm looking to update to Android 10.
Is this possible?

Yes, you can take any official carrier firmware made for the phone and flash it with the patched version of Odin. The bootloader has to match though. If you're on bootloader 2 you can't flash a bootloader 1 ROM. You can even flash the unlocked Samsung U1 firmware. You can also jump from Android 10 back to Android 9 and then back to 10 as of late. The phone can't be rooted nor can the bootloader be unlocked.
Bootloader version
Thanks for the quick reply and I appreciate the guidance. How would I know what bootloader I am running on my device currently and what version of bootloader the ROM is?

No problem. To find out your bootloader go to settings, about phone, software information. Look under baseband version and you should see "G975USQU2CSKP" or something along those lines. The 2 right before CSKP is your bootloader version. If it says 1 instead of 2, then you're on bootloader 1.
