Or a mods could have moved it because it doesn't belong in its old location.
Release Candidate CM6 would still be essentially be a daily build. There are still serious issues within CM6.

What "serious" issues would these be? Other than lack of 4G (which is totally worthless, in my opinion), I see no problems with the latest build. Now that we have a fixed Market and Facebook sync I don't see any reason not to use it as a daily (even though I was using it since release). Cyanogen fixed the major Bluetooth and wifi issues, so what's still horribly wrong?

On all the nightlies I flash to my Evo, i was unable to access my sound settings, the default Browser would immediately crash upon startup, the market would constantly act up (the updated version included), and my widgets would break after every restart.
That probably only happened to me, but I'd still consider them pretty serious issues. Serious enough to nandroid back to Fresh 1.01 for now, at least.

probably error on your part somewhere. I had zero problems besides the listed issues.

Signal issues and battery life as bad as stock rom.
I have tried them all and they do have numerous issues. I have gone to decks rom With sense. Both have bugs but its the lesser of two evils by far.

All of the froyo roms have bugs, I tried Avalaunch before I went back to DC, but as long as the proper warnings were on the first post I didn't see a problem with the thread, it was interesting to track the development. Anyway I thought it was annoying since I was trying to find out who on teamdouche was working on wimax for the evo so I could check out his github but it seems the original thread on general is missing :/
It's in Q&A.

Found a few pages in, had just been looking at it.
There we go, search function with just "cyanogen" didn't pull it up, guess you need wildcards
Or awesome mods have done it again.

CM7 RC2 vs Nightly 31

This is for my GF's myTouch 4G ( )
I currently have the CM7 02-04-2011 nightly on her phone, but she's been experiencing some random reboots lately, so we're looking to wipe and re-flash.
Which version would you recommend? Does the current nightly (31) have any new features that she might miss out on, or new bugs?
Stability is more important for her, unless there are some new amazing features (or somehow the nightly is more stable).
Anyone have any input?
I can only comment on the glacier front.... but it's better than nothing.
I've been flashinf cm7 since alpha builds and have only had 2 re-boots.
Recent build is running very well. I'd flash the nightly and do a full wipe... flashboot -w if you are still having problems after a fresh install.
Very stable rom imo.

Thanks. That's good to hear. Any differences between the latest nightly and the RC2 that you know of?

Interesting. Any show-stopping bugs or instability issues?
When I first loaded the newest Nightly build, (the 31st?), idk but it was released on the 26th of March, phone kept auto locking every 10 seconds or so. I rebooted once and it has been super stable ever since. Its only been a couple days but I have not run into any bugs. Although, for the MT4G I had go into the settings and enable "wake phone with roller button". I'm fairly new to all this stuff so I am still trying to figure out what my voicemail number is so I can manually put that in. Otherwise this baby is running smooth and I am very happy.

Ooh, awesome!
Man, I really wish there was some sort of changelog in between these versions for the major features.

[Q] Updating from CM7.1 RC1 to nightly

I've been running CM7.1 RC1 since I got my myTouch a few weeks back, but I've been reading a few people saying that the latest nightlies are much better. Is there a process by which I can update to the latest nightly without having to re-do everything (redownload apps, rearrange homescreens, etc.)? I guess a better way of putting it is if it's possible to restore my settings and apps from RC1.
Also, does anyone have a recommendation for the best nightly? I'm seeing some claiming WiFi problems on recent releases (that #140 and 141 were the last to have good WiFi), and others claiming the opposite. Thanks, guys.
Never mind, I found out about Titanium Backup and it's fantastic. Also took a leap of faith with the latest nightly #172 and everything seems to be working great, if not better.

Latest Cyanogenmod [v7.2] performance

Cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1
Could not locate any thread on this. Please post your feedback.
Euroskank have been releasing RC1 kangs since forever. Performance is fine, add-ons are nice. I love the ROM but it's not stable on crespo and crespo4g. Other devices are fine though.
I used one of the latest nightly's for a few days hoping they had fixed the stability problems, pulled my phone out of my pocket and found it bootlooping(dim/garbled boot animation loop, which was new to me as before I would just get the 'buttons lit up no responsive sleep of death' with previous versions).
I doubt 7.2 fixed anything with crespo.
Wish someone could figure out what the problem was as stock doesn't have these problems.
Love all the features and tweaks CM7 has over stock, but pulling the battery on a regular basis is not what I would call a stable release.
instability on a stable RC from CM is discouraging.
did anyone report this to CM team?
You can submit bug reports if you find anything broken in your device while running CM7.2-RC1 be sure to submit a report through here , so that they can fix it in time for the final 7.2 release.

It's a long standing issue with it, as far back as 7.0.3, probably even further.
It's hard to catch a log of the bootloops because they're don't occur in any discernible pattern that I know of.

Though there's many users available for logging. I've pulled a billion logcats of what was happening when it froze/bootlooped. When it freezes you can still adb to it.
Problem is no one seems really concerned over at CM forums, they'd rather add more stuff than root out 6+ months old problems. *shrugs*
Oxygen FTW. Never crashes on me.

100% agreed. Oxygen is the best GB rom. The best CM7 rom is probably cybergrmod. (The gb version)

I gotta say if you're going for CM7 based ROM, Euroskank kangs are awesome.

N9005 Cyanogen 11 M12 Video Playback Problems

Hey guys. I own a N9005, rooted, was running CM11 M11 until a week ago - everything was working fine.
Then I updated to M12 via CM update found inside Settings, and the problems began.
I can't play ANY video format on my phone anymore, no matter which player. MX, VLC, BS, Default Video Player... I manifests as a player crashing, for instance VLC pops up a huge crash report. Any ideas on what the cause may be, and how to fix it?
Also, for what it's worth, I also can't play The Walking Dead anymore, it crashes as well.
Noone?
If you're not going to acknowledge the words "preview" or "build 1" then that's your business. Its early stages, everyone has their issues but devs can't satisfy everyone at once. For me its spotify, you just have to be patient or flash back to a ROM that works until the builds of cm12 get going and bugs get fixed

Buddy, it's CM11 M12, not CM12. You got it wrong. Also, take it easy and don't be rude, I'm just asking for help to see why my video playback has stopped working all of a sudden. Even though I'm not getting much help here apparently.

I would suggest doing a clean install (wipe /cache,/system,/data)
