okay so the other day i decided that i would download the kindle app from the android market (ps my kindle is rooted). Anyway once it finished installing i opened it and went to books, (i wanted to read without going to the stock launcher) and none of my books showed up there even the users manual i still have. I was like okay so maybe they haven't switched yet, so i went to the stock launcher and still nothing showed up there. After messing around with it for i bit i decided to just uninstall the app. instantly all my books showed up on the stock laucher. So i guess my question is there anyway to have a book reading app like the kindle app that you can access from like say go launcher. Thanks in advance.

I did the a same thing. You need to move your books to the right directory for the kindle app.

Ever since I first got my transformer I've wanted the google search / voice command bar in the top left hand corner of honeycomb's desktop to be gone, but there's been no quick way to remove it.

Anyone up for the task?
It's not possible to do that, sorry. It's built into the OS code. If you're rooted, you can remove it but it won't give you extra homescreen space anyway.
Except for the Google music widget

Have a look at using another launcher. ADW or Launcherpro are good ones and very customizable.

Whenever i press the retry button that little microphone thing shows up on my wifi signal. I think the problem might be though that i put my wifi card in moniter mode when i was messing around, so the real question is i guess is how do you edit your wifi settings to take it off? Thanks for any help in advance and sorry if this sounds like a noob issue lol.

You also need to have Google Services Framework installed when you flashed your gapps package.
Damn am i going to have to re-flash it or can i just install now?

you can use the aptoide store http://www.aptoide.com. thats what i did, i prefer not even installing google apps. you'll see its quite handy if you dont know it
When I try to download apps it just says "Downloading" and the progress bar never moves. If I go away from the app store and go back the download button is back because the download never actually started. I'm rooted and on stock 4.3, and have "unknown sources" checked. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Amazon app store and it's the latest version. Anyone else having this issue or have any idea how to fix it?
Not here.... everything is working just fine on my end.

Hi everyone,
Since yesterday, on my homescreen, i have an amazon message asking me to register my fire hd 8 tablet to get access to more contents.
I am trying to find a way to dismiss this message that is taking a lot of space on my home screen and is anoying, without registering my device.
Fire HD 8 2018, version 5.6.8.0
Thank you in advance for your help!

If you have not updated to FireOS 7.3.2.2, you ban replace the launcher.
I do not know of another way to remove. Wish I did since I'm on 7.3.2.2 and can't change the launcher.
Anyone else know how to make this go away?
