Hi all, I recently rooted my Kindle Fire and installed Cyanogenmod 7. All was going well until I tried to install the android marketplace. I copied the apk to my kindle and installed it.
Initially, I was getting the error that I need to add an account - which I did - but now whenever I launch it I get the error:
Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Any ideas?

Install GoogleServicesFramework.apk to fix the problem (You will find it inside the gapps pack available in Cyanogenmod site).
I followed your instructions but it still comes up with the same error
Try clearing Market's data and cache in app settings. If you are still having FC issues then check this thread out for the fully expanded market
maybe this one helps:

Hey I just finished with rooting my phone and switching to CM6.1 and I flashed the gapps (mdpi) from the wiki. I found it did not come with the android market, so i threw several different .apk's of market(2.2 froyo and eclair) on and started them up thru file manager. It will go into the market but when I try going to my apps or to actually select an app to just look at it force closes with this msg: "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I have tried the uninstall of gapps the whole rom and just market. None of that has helped. I have read at least 10 diff solutions and cannot figure out how to get it(market) and my apps back. If you have any ideas or there is a thread that I have missed and should read please feel free to let me know.
Thank you Ahead of time,
The Guy whose Android Market is broken
Wipe and reinstall. The GAPPS package includes the Market app. If not then your using the wrong one (although I'm pretty sure all of the for CM include it).

I think you should flash the rom again..
Current Rom: 05/09/11 Nightly Encore
Problem: I cannot purchase anything from the Market. When I agree to permissions, it gives me an "Sorry. The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and the Force Close button.
I've tried setting Market back to original and fixing permissions.
Anyone have any ideas?
Go into manage applications. Under Market, force stop and then clear the cache. Under Google Services Framework force stop and clear data.
Go back into the market and try to buy something (I might recommend anything any developer on here has made to support them).
Thanks Explore but that didn't work. In fact, when I do that I get an error "Attention: An error has occurred. Please try again later." error message and I need to reboot to get the market again.
Will be more than happy to support many of you guys, but need to get this problem fixed. Any other ideas? Any way to debug what is going wrong?
Have you tried completely uninstalling gapps and reinstalling it? What build are your running? Do you have any other "market" apps installed? Are you running off your SD card or internal memory?
I'm having the same problem. I have Amazon and slideme markets installed, too. The Google market works fine for free apps, blows up when trying to buy something.
Problem manifested with nightly 67
i have the same problem, ive tried clearing cache, reinstalling gapps, completely wiping my cm7 68 nightly installing and reinstalling everything and no luck. i have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it which sucks ass cuz i need to buy a few apps

Yep, same problem here, cant buy any apps, but can download free ones and update fine. Have tried clearing cache and data, but its a no go for me. Running nightly #68. Any help would be awesome!

Same problem here.
Nook Color cm7 booting from sd running nightly 68.
Free apps fine Paid apps force close
Booted with the following:
generic-sdcard.img
cm_encore_full-69.zip
gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
Selected all initial apps for installation
Paid apps still caused a .vendor force close. Tried many suggestions without any change in the error message.
Then I booted with the following:
generic-sdcard.img
update-cm-7.0.3-encore-signed.zip
gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
Selected no initial apps for installation (probably doesn't matter)
And was able to download a paid app successfully.
The section that had been crashing in the nightly build is after clicking Accept Permissions: "Ok" and before displaying the credit card form.
yeah i read somewhere that gapps has a slight problem with gb 2.3.4.. thats probably why cm7.0.3 worked for you.. cuz its gb 2.3.3

EDIT - yep, I installed cm7.0.3 with gapps20110307 and market now works. Its apparently gb2.3.4
Same problem here too
Hi guys, I have rooted my kindle fire and installed market following instructions in this thread "[GUIDE] Install Full Android Market on Kindle Fire".
But every time I open the market. This happens,
"The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I'm so frustrated now, can anyone please help?
You might have installed older or wrong version of the framework.

How many versions of framework are available? Thanks.
don't really know, but it seems there are some screwed up versions around
theese are fine (market 3.4.4):http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20240542&postcount=8
So I didn't know about the adobe update problem and my nook color got stuck in a boot loop so I ended up deregistering it and starting over. I rooted it per this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054027 using 4.6.16 and 4.6.18. Everything is working as it was before I was able to sideload the Amazon app store but after I download an app it doesn't install. I have the option to install with "App Installer" or " Package Installer" Both don't work. I get the same error messages that I got when i tried to install the appstore normally. "Unable to install please archive and then unarchive..." and "Parse error." I have tried installing new apps and ones already on my account, neither work. I have uncheck and check the non-market app box. I also wipe the nook and re-rooted to see it that would do anything, it didn't. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
1. The "non-market app" (or whatever name it is) box must be checked.
2. stock ROM v1.4.1 has BLOCKED side-loading capability however, members reported that if your NC is rooted, sideload feature still functions ok.
I have checked the box and I was able to sideload the amazon marketplace
Hey all,
I've rooted my Nook stock before, and had it work just fine, but after awhile it became very unstable and slow. I recently re-rooted, using GMPOWER's method, everything seems to be working, except the Android Market.
I followed the steps for limited market visibility, but there's been no change. The Market won't update to Google Play, and when I access it, it doesn't show any apps - just a message stating, "No matching content in Android Market." I am able to search for some apps, but very few show up. (I've installed File Expert, and updated it just fine, but that's about it.)
For the life of me, I can't figure out what's wrong. My Gmail app works fine. But my Amazon Appstore .apk won't install either. It'll ask if I want to install using App Installer or Package Installer, but both give an error message. App Installer says, "Unable to install. This application was not able to install onto your device," as if my device were not rooted. Package Installer says, "Cannot parse the package." I tried downloading a newer version of the Google Play Store, and got the same errors.
I feel like I might be missing something obvious, but I can't figure it out. I'm tempted to revert back to 1.4.2 or earlier and re-root again, but that's a lot of work (mainly to download all my B&N content again).
Any thoughts or suggestions or mere stabs in the dark? Anyone?

Have you tried installing Rom Manager via sideloading and wiping the Dalvik cache? If that does not work try installing a custom ROM.
