Hi guys,
I struggle from few days with my U8800 pro.
After installing genokolar cyanogen 7 ROM, the device reboot when the screen fade out. If i press the power button 1-2 seconds after fading out evrything is o.k, but a second later the phone reboots. I've tried МIUI rom, and nothing changed. The funny thing is that if the phone is connected to USB it's O.K. and if the screen is on there is no problem either.
I've tried factory reset, whipe cashe, whipe baterry stats but nothing worked.
Any help will be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Yasen
Change CWM Recovery...
if you are using the 32 kernel.
Install Cwm version 4.0.0.5 or 5.0.2.7
Re:
I currently use CWM v. 5.0.2.7, but after updating throug ROM manager, should i flash the ROM with CWM v. 5.0.2.7?
I've tried to flash new ROM with CWM 5.0.2.7 but it's the same. I'm near to compete madness and i need your support guys!!! The baterry have charge, but if i let the screen black for more than 3-4 seconds, when i press the power button it reboots.
What can cause this???
Any suggestions or i am the only one with problem like tais?

Hello Guys,
i have a question about problem i have with my DEsire HD.
I've turned my device of last night and i tryed to put it on this morning, but its freezes at the white Backround Green "HTC" screen. I've taken out the battery and gave it another try, but it still freezes the same way.
I thought i can fix the problem by Updating from revolution hd 6.1.0 to 6.1.1 but at the installation with recovery mode over boot laoder ( power on + vol down ), i get an error Status 7.
I've searched google and found you have to super wipe your device and wipe the cache, ive done this and now i only can acces the Bootloader if i try to get to recovery mode, the recov mode loops.
Is there a way to unbrick my dive over H-Boot USB Plug?
Get the sdk, go bootloader, and do 'flash recovery recovery name.img'

If that doesnt work, you could always redownload the stock 1.32 rom [Download link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003] and paste it onto the SD card. When booting into bootloader it should re-install the stock rom. You'll have to re-root and install recovery again.
It s not a brick for sure...
Think I've bricked mine, when I attempt to power on, nothing happens except for 5 short battery vibrations, black screen, green battery light stays on. I have a back up but cant acces recovery to install it. Please HELP!!
Id reckon its hard to brick them nowadays

Does it respond on your USB connection ? Take out your SD card... Most unlikely it became trash what were you doing before it went black ?

This has happened to me a couple of times, remove the battery and leave it out for a couple of minutes, reboot and voila (although it might not boot to OS, you should at least be able to access recovery)
Hi. DId you fix the issue. I have 2 devices with the same simptoms, i flashed stock rom, custom roms, but nothing helps. I think problem is in radio, cause even if i flash it from fastboot and it gives me that ok is OK, radio version didn't change.
is there any update abt ur problem

Hello all,
A friend just purchased a used G2. I was able to take it from stock 2.3.x ROM, downgrade it, and then root it and load a CM7 KANG on it just fine. I then updated CWMR to the latest version for this phone (5.0.2.7) through ROM Manager.
I noticed that if I have the battery in and the phone off, when I plug in a USB cable, the phone boots directly to CWMR (no HTC screen) after about 7 seconds. Searching on the forums it looks like this was a CWMR issue that was fixed earlier in 2011. Is this a regression in CWMR or is something else up?
Stranger still: if I leave CWMR up, the CWMR text on the screen disappears after 20 seconds and the whole screen is blank. The phone seems to stay on though as I can now boot it by pushing the black button at the bottom center of the phone (OK/Confirm in CWMR) or the Power button. Normally when the phone is unplugged it only boots via the push of the Power button.
Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you XDA!
Clockword 5.x.x.x has issues on the G2 - I would recommend going to Rom Manager, go to "All ClockworkMod Recoveries," and choose 3.0.2.4, or flash that manually.
That fixed it! Thanks!

So, I had some issues with my Defy+...
I tested the latest 4.1.2 nightly and seemed like my backup was corrupted (?!) and I had to flash a 2.3.6 BL-6 .SBF since the backup would make me enter a bootloop.
Well, I tried with different .SBFs and sadly all of them have the same effect: the flashing process moves smooth, except that in the moment when I'm asked to power it up it's entering a bootloop.
Now, my battery STILL has some inside, but trying to charge it won't work(gives me the "?" sign). Don't know what should I do. Should I leave the phone in the bootloop until the battery goes away and then to re-flash a .SBF?...
Or my flashing process wasn't good enough and there's a workaround I don't know?... I don't want to brick my phone forever.
Charge battery with mcgyver metod or with other defy & reflash it with 231 sbf. For more info read: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=966537
So, there's no other option out there?...

Recharge battery with mcgayver metod and reflash sbf, you'll need start from scratch, because your bootmenu was corrupted and you can't restore nandroid or reinstall zip

Once you have flashed the sbf and back on stock you need to go into the moto recovery and do a restore to default / format system. that should get around the boot loop issue... at least it did for me...
Can't acsess anything

Hi together, well I hope this is the right place.... I'm owner of a motorola Defy MB 525 that ran without any problems on cm9 nightly for last 6 month. Now suddenly it doesn't start any moer andIi can't access recovery setup nor anything else so it's impossible to wipe anything, too. When connected to my notebook only the white LED is shining but nothing happens. The typical "hardware-found-ping" appears and several seconds later the " hardware was removed ping." The right drivers are installed on my notebook, but even RSD Lite doesn't found my Defy so I can't flash enything. Anyone has any Idea what to to?
Thank's in advance for any help!

Do you connect it to RSD in bootloader mode? Volume + when powering on. What is on the screen then?

If you haven't flashed yet try to keep with BL6 sbfs, and not BL7 like 231.
After battery charge try to get to stock recover (volume down when powering on) and wipe data/factory reset before flashing.

And your battery? Is it charged?
Hi guys,
After an Unsuccessful flash from RSD, my cellphone doesn't recognize the battery anymore and I cannot charge the phone to try to reflash the unit again. Is there any chances to fix it? Without using an external battery charger?
Thanks a lot
This has saved quite a lot of defy's, milestone's, and even my own Xperia U http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892026
tks Lean, I did this procedure and worked as well...
I flash the phone with Retail Rom but always stuck in an infinite loop in Motorola's logo. found a post in xda that asks to format the phone and did work!
Now I rooted and back to tezet's CM10 rom.
Tks for all.:victory::highfive:
same problem here! after a SFB my phone stucks on motologo (it blinks every 30/40 secs.) But now I'm NOT able to go in STOCK Recovery! If I press X + POWER ON, nothing happens.
Any suggestion to come out of this "almost bricked" situation?

Take out the battery, press x, and while pressing, put the battery back on. I remember I had to do that once.
I'm not sure if it was X or both volume keys, or the camera key... I don't remember, it's been more than a year since I lost my milestone.
Good luck.
Hello,
I loaded my SM-G900F with a custom rom and it suddenly died... There is no way to switch it on and when I connect it to my laptop it shows QHSUSB_BULK under device manager. I read a lot of posts and I understand that I need an unbrick image to boot from an sd card. Is that the right thing to do?
I would really appreciate is somebody could help.
Thanks in advance!

What rom, and what version were you on when you started? Which recovery, and which version do you have loaded? What, exactly was the procedure you followed, and what version of which custom rom did you try to flash?

Hi hexavoodoomal!
Thanks for replying to my message. The ROM was Sixperience 7.0. I am not sure about the recovery... I am sure I had TWRP installed.
Everything was working fine. The ROM installed properly and worked with no problems for a couple of days but suddenly the phone died. I am sure that it was updating something from Samsung. ANT+ may be?
Can you help?
Thanks!!

I hope so. Can you boot into recovery by removing the battery, and waiting for 10 secs, replacing the battery, and depressing the volume down button, the home button, and the power on button all at the same time?

No. I cannot boot in recovery mode. I tried several times...
Volume down is download mode
Volume up is recovery
A ROM can not break download mode, it's hard coded into the hardware, if removing the battery hasn't worked, power it on, and hold the power button for 30 seconds, remove the battery for 30 seconds, replace and try again
Oops, ha-ha. I called it recovery' didn't I? My bad. Get into download mode, follow the prompt, get odin, and flash the stock ROM for your phone. You can find links to the latest firmware on this site. There are other sites that have it too, but yiur best served geting it here. That will get you back where you started.
