Weird, never encountered an HD2 US TMobile version with such an IMEI!
I'm wondering: anybody else did?
If you bought it brand new from China, it is most likely a fake...

Ok guys,
I just got an HD2 and before messing around with it, I'd like to know what to do to backup the entire firmware, so that, if it has to go to the guarantee I can restore it easily, and there won't be any questions asked by the store.
Thanks
You do not have to do that. Just download the Stock ROM from your carriers Support site or the htc website if you have a unbranded device. Read about flashing from sd here. With this method Stock spl will also be restored.

I just bought a T-Mobile_LEO from a friend and I love it. I had to pay and get it unlocked because I only have an AT&T account. It's only three months old but I still wanna tweak it a bit but I don't know how yet. I have Cygwin, Oracle VM VirtualBox and HD2 Toolkit installed but I don't know how to save the original ROM.zip "C:\Cygwin\home\Owner\kitchen\original_update\put_rom_here_" or find the best compatible ROM to use on my phone. Can someone skillful please assist me with this task? Here's my phone info:

Hi all,
I'm quite new to all this, so I hope I'm not asking too dumb questions. I tried reading a whole lot of topics but there are things still not clear to me.
I bought a Trophy with a custom ROM on it (DFT, Mango), but I want it restored to its original version (pre NoDo). For starters I don't get the whole RSPL/HSPL thing, but I think I don't have to update that since my custom ROM already required 'replacing' (?) my bootloader. But for my convenience, if you have replaced it with a RSPL, will your phone replace only de bootloader with the previous bootloader or the ROM as well after a hard reset?
Anyway, if everything's o.k. with my bootloader then what ROM do I have to choose?
This my phone's info:
OS version : 7.10.7720.68.0
firmware revision number : 2250.21.40600.DFT
Hardware revision number : 0003
Radio software version : 5.51.09.06_22.30.50.09U

I think my Trophy is unbranded but I don't know how I can tell for sure.
Thanks
Same here. I've bought htc Trophy (unbranded) with the DFT 7714 rom and I'd like to revert to the official path. I was searching and looking all over the place and I still don't know how to do it. Can you guys help?

Ask ansar in his unbranded Trophy ROM thread to upload a pre-nodo ROM. Download the ROM, upzip, run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the instructions.
Flashing a pre-nodo ROM should replace the HSPL you both have, with the one that comes with the pre-nodo ROM.
Please note that if you are not sure if your phone is branded or unbranded flashing the wrong ROM can brick your phone!!!!
Second note, if you flash a ROM you lose all data on your phone. At the moment there is no way of backing up data such as text messages.
my HTC HD2 T8585 has a Telstra logo.
so is it a T9193?
I'd appreciate any help, especially with battery drain in 3 hours of little use.

With the T8585 and the T9193 they both can use the the 51 radios (EU radios). I also see you have HSPL 1.66 so it is possible that your device was flashed with a T8585 Stock ROM and not the Telstra stock ROM. Who ever you bought the device from probably just flashed HSPL to the device and then the ROM because that is the ROM they had on hand. I can tell you though that if the logo you speak of is a actual logo on the exterior of the device then it must be T9193 cause that is the Telstra model. Hope this helps you out some.
It looks like Telstra, but not 100% sure: if someone would take it apart, it could be recognized as presumed...
Battery draining should not be related to the version/model, more likely a faulty/old battery...
