Well, as for the first one, 'FLYING ICE CREAM SANDWICHES", it is available as well on Gingerbread but with different animation, second, it is a launcher, so i dont think both of this are a feature for ICS..=D

Agree, the second one is a launcher related feature. The first one I've seen with different roms, so maybe it's an android devs prank!!
I like it

Just thought I would throw this out there as a odd find. Messing around with a friends Atrix I was checking the version of Gingerbread & noticed I was rapidly touching the Android Version in settings and the screen quickly transitioned to an image of the Gingerbread Zombie
Stock Android Gingerbread OTA update version 2.3.4 - Just continuously touched the Android Version field as quick as possible for a second or two & this appears. Curious to see if this happens to any one else.
It's called an "Easter Egg" and it's been like that since Gingerbread was released. Here is an article from December:

via CyanogenMod definitely. If you're expecting an official release by HTC I wouldn't hold your breath as we have yet to get the 2.3.3 sense kernel source.
more "ice cream sandwich" spotlight!!!
ICE CREAM
Just read the interview w/Andy Rubin. They said they'd open source ICS "a couple weeks" after the Galaxy Nexus's release =)
HTC has said they are looking at ICS and will determine what they will do, because most of the features that make sense great has now been added to ICS. Could be they don't update any of their old phones, and they come up with something totally new for all of their new phones going forward. If they would put sense as it is now, they would cover up a lot of the new great features of ICS. Just a thought.

I can't find anything regarding a version of CM8. I also can't find any CM versions of honeycomb. I have found CM7 with some honeycomb elements, however. Did Google ever release Honeycomb source into AOSP? That is the only place CM goes to build their roms.

Soooo....what improvements are expected with ICS over GB? Now that source for GB has been kind of released and the OTA looming on the horizon the GB whining has stopped and now they are whining for "why not ICS?" So can some one tell me what the big deal will be for ICS?

Thanks. A lot of the features mentioned in there, we already have! I don't see that big of a deal. It appears mostly cosmetic with some Palm theft about the multi-tasking swipes. Camera functions can be improved on the Epic with apps like HD Camera and the many Panoramic apps available.

You'll be happy to know that the head designer of WebOS switched teams to Google during the development of Honeycomb. The "theft" from Palm is entirely public, not that I mind. It will do a lot to make Android easier to adopt and really separate it in function from iOS.

c'mon dude. why the hate. miui is probably the only rom that google considers when they look for inspiration. and that says something. i havent noticed they're looking here. in some parts 4.2 is basically a holo version of miui. i am really, really impressed from what i've seen. it may not be my style (holo fanboy), but they do bring fresh ideas and creativity to the table.

especially miui v5 looks very interesting and awesome
The reason I ask is my wife and some of my customers love their iPhone. Hate the android lock screen and no notifications on lock, the fact that they would have to setup addons to receive notifications on phone, voice, and SMS, etc. After trying to help my wife move over from her iPhone to a new nexus 4, little things like this made her want her iPhone back. I used miui for awhile back on my my touch and it has all of these stock. I think its a great addition to the Eco system and would be an easier move to for iPhone users. Thoughts?

Why would you say no to this? More options is better people!! If you are just going to say "no" then just keep it to yourself because there are plenty of us that enjoy miui. Why would you even jump in this thread if you don't care for it? I think it is a breath of fresh air which will suit our device well!:good:
