Hello guys I got an hd2 yesterday...I am very new to this device ....mine hd2 is non T-Mobile. Means EU Hd2.
I wants to flash this Rom on my hd2..
Can someone tell me step by step procedure of installing this Rom .
Thanks in advance.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484198

Why don't u read the hd2 forum? Its what u should do at very first. Will help to decide what u need and what u won't. Will help to reduce bricks, problems etc..
Btw I will help u with a quick guide.
1) install radio version that support 512mb ram then install hspl 2.08
2) install clk/ magldr
3) install cwm
4) partition ur SD to fat32 and ext3/4
5)put ur desired rom.zip on SD fat32
6) put card in phone, reboot to cwm, choose install.zip option
7) browse and select ur rom.zip
8) finish install, reboot... yap u have it.
U can do all those installation ( except rom unless u use. Ruu/img files) directly using a windows tool named as hd2 toolkit. And u need corresponding drivers for it to detect ur phone.

Um, he should install HSPL first and then install the radio. How can he flash a custom radio ROM without HSPL?

Just a quick question is it is necessary to create ext 3/4 partition as I m a noob and I have sensation and SXL..and I never create any partition.

If you use large ROMS like sense 3.0 or 3.5 ROMS, then we will need it. The ROM dev will tell it.

Depends, if u use ics, sense 3-3.5 u will need it. More over its needed for app2sd or data 2sd, in case u want ur apps should be installed on SD.
Most of the new roms today are using the extra partition. So better do it.

Hi,
Each ROM nowadays seems to have a different sized CWM partition.
This is generally well explained on the [OP].
Read carefully,or at least post which ROM you intend to use,so that someone could maybe check for you.

Hi,
Only other thing I can think of is;
have you got the correct ROM for your phone...magldr/clk...tmous/EU 512
OP, you should really use the search feature instead of asking repeat questions.
Do this:
Task 29
Update Radio
MagLDR 1.13
Clockwork Mod Recovery
ROM
Done.

So now that you have it figured. Run the Tmous version and see if you like it then download the EU version with CWM partition size 190 instead of the 240 you used for the Tmous version. It works and you get more free ram. I am runnning EU ROM with 150 partition and am getting 250+ ram free 24/7. Just a tip to any US HD2, you can run the EU version of any Rom.
And please rename thread with [SOLVED] at the beginning of thread name. Now others won't need to waste time and help, and "EXPERTS" won't come to flame.

Best word of advice would be go try getting an answer in the right thread so other user will be able to reach out and help.
Also with this amount of information there's no way anyone will be able to offer help. So Second best word of advice would be start sharing information that helps helping you ( funny sentence )
Start reading in the thread that brought you your build and see if you can find the answer there. Start using the search option on this forum to find answers.
Stay calm and try to have fun
Which build are you trying to flash?
Which model HD2 do you have ( EU/US )?
Which partition layout did you use in CWM?
Which partition layout are you using for your sd card?
etc.............
Thx srry am a noob i got the (us)
i had use toolkit (150m)
cwm recovery v4.o.o.o
dont understand ur last ? I just fat32 my sd
your recovery size is incorrect
How can i get the rite one it was 3.0.2.4 an i change it cause i was having the same problem
There you have it wrong partition layout indeed, I guess you're trying dungh sense 3.5 which need 5/195/5
Download cwm and change settings in flash.cfg using notepad our similar
Or select right layout in toolkit

The thing I would try most of all is actually reading the threads you are using. Read teh toolkit thread and the rom thread you want to flash. All the info you need is there.

Help on transition from WP7 to Android

Sorry for the noobish post but Im really having a hard time finding a post to help with this. I currently Have WP7 on my htc hd2 and as of seeing xylographs rom, paranoid android http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662881 . I really want to switch to android on my htc hd2. But unfortunently I know that it is not as easy as just installing CWM and flashing. Any help with the steps needed to switch from WP7 to xylography rom?

You're right, it's not as easy as installing CWM and flashing. It's as easy as installing CWM, formatting your SD card ( so that it isn't in WP7 formatting any more) then flashing
I don't know how exactly that is done but from what I've heard an old Nokia should do the trick.

Yes to the question with the SD card. Also yes you must install 6.5 first then use the hd2 toolkit to installed hspl and install either clk or mgdlr and then you can flash the ROM via recovery

Don't post false information please.
@OP Yes, you can just use a different SD card but there certainly is no need to flash to WinMo 6.5. Just follow this guide, you already have all of the prerequisites.

Hi hegemytouch, yes it does, there are some roms that are tmous/eu specific, it should be stated in the rom's first post. roms are found in the development section of the relevent OS.
Check out dxdy's tutorial here http://www.mediafire.com/download/mmb4cfcnfudzhpn/ROM+Install+Tutorial+v2.5.pdf it has links to videos for dual booting wp7 and android.

Actually I just bought an had and it's shipping with WP7.8...how do I go about flashing and android NAND rom into it...preferably android 4.2 and up on a tmobile HD variant. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So if it has wp7.8 on it, you already have magldr and hspl 2.08.
So it is a matter of which type of installation you want, nand or data-on-ext. I would suggest full nand install for now (no need to put ext partition on card)
First backup your wp7.8 stuff if you have used it using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010135 and Zune
next use minitool http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html to increase the 200mb fat16 partition on your sdcard to the full extent of the card and format to fat32 (primary partition). You need a card reader for this.
Next choose a rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/hd2-android/nand-dev
put the rom .zip on the sd card and then use magldr recovery to flash the rom to nand, following the rom's instructions.
These are the basic steps, you have a bit of a learning curve ahead. Good Luck
