It is clearly known that Camera is not supported in Green lens for GB kernel .. then how come u r saying it is green lens .. Don't judge it by looking at the physical color of the lens..
Check this Link for more Details..
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116694

It its green, we have a new chapter to open

doesnt matter what colour the lens is, the driver is for the module. could you check which module you have pls? (install logcat from market, open it, then open camera, switch back to logcat and look for camera. it should say: BAYER/SOC device detected)
sent from my cm7 defy...

I bought defy+. But the physical color is green

Are you sure you're not looking at camera flash and not camera lens? And yeah, logcat with camera model would be useful.

Please check your devices camera module with Logcat. I'm very intrested in the results.

Not on my battery

I was wondering the same thing about the camera... Is that the LED charging up or the autofocus?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
the noise is only in red lens.... not in green lens

Red, Green lens on Galaxy S!!!

hi guys i am using Galaxy S series i9000, i9001, i9003.
i was wondering why there are different lens's colors "i have seen red, green".
is that has relation to camera performance.
Do you mean different colors of lens in Camera app icon? I bet you use one of ICS roms? The green one has much more options than the red/purple one (including option to choose picture quality). If you want the green one search Play Store for "Camera ICS".
Hum, no, I think he's talking about the Motorola Defy which exists in two versions: one with a green camera lens and one with a red camera lens. They are different. BTW no, there's nothing like that on the SGS .
thank you guys but not moto defy MB525. i sold it from 2 months ago and i have bought SGS i9001 than SGS i9003 than SGS i9000 "currently"
my note was "they weren't in the same lens color!!!"

False.
I had my phone at Samsung because my camera had (and still has) a red tint in the middle (noticeable on the screen of on the photo) and they replaced it.
I used to have a red lense, now i have a green one.
But there's also a difference between the camera modules. Ones are a bit deeper (looks like some tiny optical zoom -> 2 friends have this one) while others are just flat (mine).
Ok, sorry, I didn't know this. But I meant that camera drivers are different for the two Defys .
Thank you guys for understanding.
so i guess the lens color has relation to camera performance !

AFAIK we really have 2 different camera drivers on our phones. One focuses faster during video recording, while the other one doesn't focus that well.
The first one has the lens deeper in the module itself and the other one just has the lens on a flat surface....
Too bad I have the flat one-.-

My G2's Camera Sucks under Light.

Hello, I have this problem for a while. My phone is taking really bad pictures under fluorescent light (see the 1st pic). To solve this I have applied "tootpaste solution" which removed the AF filter from camera lens, because pictures were all blurry and brighter but it did not help. However the only solution is to covr the head of my phone like a cap. (see the 2nd pic)
Now the question is whether I have to change my rear camera or lens protector to solve this. Thanks for your answers.
Phone is full stock?
did you try to change the white balance in the camera app for taking pictures under flourescent light?

Issue with the camera/camera app

See the attached pictures
Anyone have the same issue with pictures having weird pattern/marks?
Also there are lens flare on the third picture taken with oneplus 2. I took it again at the same position with my zenfone 2 without any lens flare problem, in fact i don;t have any lens flare issue like this with my zenfone2. It seems that one plus 2 camera is easier to have those lens flares maybe due its design (the distance between the glass, the lens and the sensor )??I don't know.... Im not familiar with optical physics..:p Is this a deflect with my camera or just a common issue with op2 camera?

It's common with ANY camera.
It all depends on the angle and distance between the glass that is used in the device.
You may not see it on your Zenfone 2 but given the right angle I can assure you it is there.. May not be as prominent but every camera has this.
My advice > Stop pointing the camera at light sources directly or shoot with RAW and post-process it out if you care that much.
Don't ask me how, Google it :silly:
Oh, forgot to mention you can try and cover the light glare using your hand above the camera but be sure to avoid making your hand visible in the shot and depending your angle and subject matter it may not be possible to do it anyway.
Like I said.. Best way to avoid it: Don't take pictures directly aiming towards light sources.
Thanks for your detailed explanation Stevels. I understand that lens flare is a common issue with any camera, what I want to express is it seems that one plus 2 camera is easier to have those lens flares maybe due its design (the distance between the glass, the lens and the sensor )??I don't know.... Im not familiar with optical physics..:p
Also with regrading to my 1st issue if you enlarge the first two pictures you can see weird pattern/marks on the sky, have you experience this before

Yeah, just a processing problem. Will probably be ironed out with future software updates.
To be honest I'm just waiting for CM12.1 to be released for the OPT.
Then I'll be grabbing the MaxxAudio and CameraNextMod apps and using those
Ordered my OPT a couple hours ago
