Sorry I do understand the devs are working hard but progress is slow
Okay, no offence...... But clearly you can't read, have you not seen the many threads to bypass the locked bootloaders. These threads have hard working devs attempting to make custom rons even with the difficulties at hand. I understand that progression is slow due to the lack of.devs but we are truly blessed to have devs like racht, jerpelea, doixnah, povanovn, artoseven (sorry if i missed anyone out, you devs are all included). The effort these devs have put in to make this phone a little better is amazing and i definately believe they deserve a round of applause. Not only are there workaround custom roms but there are modules which are made to help OC and add more features to our phone than Sony would have provided us. Furthermore devs are slowly finishing tweaks on cracking the x8 bootloader. These devs and everyone who has ever provided something to improve this phone deserve a round of applause and i think you should apologise for your gurtful comment, cos at the end of the day the devs are helping us

If you look around all devs are focussing on kernel building and loading and behind the scenes activity, instead of posting half baked stuff they are posting tested and stable roms
Look at minicm its almost perfect, only one main bug and tethering feature is not available.
Don't worry and have patience.
And if some mod can close or move this pointless thread it would be great.

I don't UNDERSTAND,why are dev fighting with each other. I thought this community was for dev s helping each other to make X 10 the best. All I see here is cry babies. Dev's means developers n I thought they would be more professional rather than cutting each others throat. Why can't they solve any issues via PM n not posting it publicly. It creats war among so called Fan Boys. I m a regular visitor n all these fight makes me laugh. For me ACTION IS BETTER THAN WORDS. For everyone's sake. DEV'S BE PRO'S N NOT HO'S.
I can see this thread is getting out of control and by no means i wanted ppl to get out a control. But i can definitely see we as a user for any rom have the right to say when we feel we been look down to?

Edit:When i first started visiting XDA i was really impressed by all the dev and members who helped me.. Just to personally thank rendeiro2005 i post 10 post in general forum and then thanked him in his dev thread.. i will give credit to all the rom developers whose ROM i have used. Thanks dev for ur great ROM and help and support. First J ans Z and Binary and rdannar,jerpelea,Wolfbreak,rendeiro2005,DooMLoRD,cobrato,achotjan, AND DEFINATELY THE LEAST TRIP.. PLZ KEEP SUPPORTING US AND PEACE BE UPON YOU... and erikwill plus alll the other dev and mixer who help us get the best out of X10

To be honest I don't take sides... I like all the ROms n I like every one of our DEVS. They all do this in there own time n no one pay them to do this for US. That's why I admire there works..I was not talking specifically abt any one dev at all. I have seen it time n time again. There was a similar sort of fight ages ago n one of our dev was yelled at that time just cause he used something. Now the same dev is giving it back to other Dev's. All I wish is for them to Wrk together and be a true DEVELOPERS ...

No one was yelled at. He was asked to give credits to the devs who actually developed the files OR delete it. He probably misunderstood that, so he left for some time. I admit I don't know what went on via PM, so i don't take sides either.
Anyway, all of the devs agree that there's no longer bad blood between them, so please just don't start that topic again.

Who is fighting? I read the whole Story and theres a reason Trip,zdzihu or jerpelea doesnt collaborate with eachother. So its not like Trip doesnt share becouse he wants all the Fame just for him theres a Reason they dont collaborate. They are all very good Devs so dont matter if they work together or not they will make something amazing for X10 and thats what is important.

But the compiler had to leave the thread.
Our "vision" gettin' old but jb roms coming ahead.

hey I think the desire z needs a Facebook group. My old phone (htc explorer) had a fb group and it was really informative about new roms and development being done. I know there is an irc but if someone created a fb group I think it would be really helpful

Just beat an iPhone owner.....the dude came around tranna make noise about his new iphone....not to bring too much disgrace to him I kept my s2 aside and pulled out my g2(running andromadus test builds jb).....so he did his siri thing and I did google now....paranoma, multitasking(which was actually the closest he got to beating me)......after this I really came to respect my g2...btw I had it overclocked to 1.5GHz.....which is actually another point cos he can't do that:thumbup:....... Hit thanks if you still love your g2...(if this was facebook that would have "like, if you still love your g2).......

Its the best qwerty smartphone for me.
It could have more ram but.. well its 2years old smartphone.
Thank you all for your hard work all this time, but now it's time for me to say good bye to you guys since I'm changing to a new device. I've enjoy using my desire z with custom ROM all this years. Moving to galaxy note 10.1, keep up the good work and support.

And where would you put this thread if this was yours? I know others will say windows phone 7 forum not xperia play. But to he honest xperia forum is the only forum I ever go to and so posting it elsewhere never occurs to me until later.
Anyways as I noted I know it's not xperia play anything related. And that its windows phone not android os. But I found it interesting and thought others might as well.
I also know that I am sure there will be many who don't share my enthusiasm but I do know therebwill be those who do.

There maybe only 2 or 3 developers working on this device but they have already ported some 10 Roms for this device.
Not mentioning the 3 kernels.

I dunno, I'm looking at the Dev forum for us and as I type this there's fourteen ROMs on the first page alone with most of their threads having pretty recent replies too. And the devs appear to be answering as well.
I think we got it pretty good.

LOL i had asked a question and it was not answered in the ROM thread...not by the devs, also i saw 2-3 ppl posting their problems..still no replies from devs or OP...I can understand they busy LOL but I am finding it like LONELY

Ah I see. Hopefully someone will answer you (I don't have your answer or I would have).
Although I don't mind the population here, our phone also isn't being offered by any of the American carriers except for Verizon which has the Droid Maxx 2 (a Play that's Verizon-branded). I don't think they allow bootloader unlocking (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) so not going to be much interest from them.

Proper developers reply once in a blue moon to problems in general thread as most of the problems can be solved by users possessing a bit higher knowledge.
Developers are mainly concerned with the development of Roms and I am totally ok with it if they don't reply to normal queries of forum.

Xperia Z still has people sticking to stock based roms, not enough customization. o development for MM... while the device is about 3 years old and this one is not even a year old.

I agree even if the device is 3 yrs old DUDE..!! there are ROMS getting updated specially niaboc79's ROM, Rajeev, etc, CM, PAC, AOSP, all are updated still..!!

LOL..can you explain a bit of " PROPER DEVELOPERS " plz? everyone who made the ROMs like CM12, CM13, RR, are devs definitely and am sure they are trying harder to update..and get less bugs..but i dont see them replying as well for a fact, It's been quite sometime no dev has updated with their latest version of ROM.
