Disable Soft Keys - Droid Incredible General

I'm currently using 72ls1's fantastic AOKP ICS rom. I've installed the mod for the Galaxy Nexus soft keys at the bottom, but my real soft keys are still functional. This is kinda weird, so can I completely disable the hardware soft keys and use only the ICS ones?
(preferably reversable )

you can open up your phone and unplug the wire
it actually isn't difficult if you do it carefully and with a good tutorial.

Realistically why not just disable the soft keys? The hardware keys are there and the soft keys will just take up space on the screen.

That's what I've been doing. Wish the soft keys weren't so big.

Softkeys dont work! Help!

Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance.
I installed the "Soft Key" application a while ago, and while installed it seamed buggy. So i un-installed the program, and after that my bottom soft keys wouldn't even work. I can tap on the screen above the soft keys and it will take me to the: Contact / Calendar but when i try to use the soft keys, they just wouldn't work. I was hopping that maby y could reset some registry values to bring it back to default settings.
Also, i "CAN" use the soft keys when I'm not at the Today Screen. Problem is just trying to get back the functionality for the soft keys at the Today screen.
Thanks again

Soft Reset

As known, soft reset hole is inside the back cover?
Propably jade owners are already experienced of opening back cover is quite a hard work. I am afraid of breaking the cover teeth.
Is there any other option making Soft Reset thru soft or button combination?
There is HTC shutdown cab I think somewhere. It may help. Anyone knows download loc?

i use sk tools but i know many other progrs to that...
psshutxp
I installed psshutxp and saved time while soft resetting..
I downloaded this and placed it on my sd card. Just start the file softreset.exe and your device will softreset. As simple as that.

Well, there's no such thing as a best soft reset program. Its a really simple function so there's nothing in it really. I use psshutxp. Or you can just hold the power button for like 3-4 seconds. That works fine too. Its more of a personal preference than anything else.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the red button under the cover is only for a Hard reset!

That's wrong.
I use AEButton Plus and configured it to execute a soft reset when I tripple press the red button. Works well Together with some other nice enhancements like taskmanager (AltTab) on long action press, rotate screen on long volume up/down press and WLAN on tripple green button press.

How so? Most times, when people want to change them, it's to re-assign them to a physical button or to remap a physical button.
I'm just curious...

Soft keys

Any home/menu/back non root required soft key apps used and recommended by anyone?
Would be handy sometimes when using the tablet in different orientations to have the equivalent keys available as floating soft keys.

Button Savior (non root): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart.swkey.nonroot
It doesn't have menu button, but you can customize buttons to some extent, I like to use it with my thumb while docked in bottom right corner.
Taskarou, the best free pie control i could find in the play store. Its set up too complicated out of the box but once you simplify it a bit it works perfect
Also fullscreen! Has a build in pie control
Thanks both, will check those out.

Is there a ROM that uses soft Home & navigation keys instead of capacitative keys?

Is there a ROM that uses soft Home & navigation keys instead of capacitative keys?
I have a Verizon S4 that I have been using on Tmobile (No LTE, just 3/4G).
I recently dropped in water and the hard home button and both capacitative buttons don't work anymore. Everything else works fine (for now).
Is there a ROM I can flash which has soft home and navigation keys on the screen instead of using the hard home buttons and capacitative navigation keys?
It would be a bonus if this ROM will let me use LTE on Tmobile.
I am on stock 5.01 but it is rooted (not sure if it's unlocked but I think I can do that).
Those can be enabled on any ROM. Soft keys are a part of Android, so they are available on any phone running Android. They are simply disabled on devices with hardware buttons.
You have edit the build.prop and add a certain line if I'm not mistaken.
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Save, reboot. You should, in theory, have soft keys after the reboot.

It's in system.
This is an answer you could've gotten by googling it and you wouldn't have had to wait for my response. So you effectively just wasted time.
