I have a strange problem with video: after installing / uninstalling some apps (ex: youtube, codec update, etc..), if I play a video with the default HTC Album it runs very fast and with crappy sound.
With Coreplayer all is fine.
I've removed all video apps I've installed, but still have the problem.
Any idea?
I decided to try some NAND builds but didn't like them because .flac music files could no longer be played and most video files too, or the subtitles would not show, so i reverted back to FroyoStone Sense - V3.2. Now the problem is that now these same problems are still there. I used mixzing to play my flac files, now it isn't registering them as music files at all. As for the video i used combination of rock player and vplayer. On both a lot of videos wont play at all, or if they do the picture is choppy and they lag a lot. Also it used to be possible to play video files with hardware mode on rock player now it isn't. If anyone has any ideas as to what may be causing these problems i would appreciate it.
Hello everyone. I just want to ask if anyone has the same problem or knows how to fix this.
After updating to 4.3, I can not stream video with MX Player or the stock video player. Tried various other apps on the play store and none seem to work.
Sometimes a video starts to stream and lags like crazy, then freezes. Any help?

I purchased Tegra Note from "Xolo" in india. In india it is sold as "Xolo Play Tegra Note". I am unable to play any of ".mkv" video files using "Gallery", "Play Movies". When I select ".mkv" videos it creates a very loud and bad sound like "krrrrrrrrrrshhhhhhttttttttrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"; I immediately pressed the home button and closed the video. I have tried this 10-12 times with 5 different ".mkv" video files, everytime it creates that horrible sound.
These ".mkv" videos are playable without any issues using "BSPlayer Free" and "MxPlayer Free" apps.

Is anybody willing to play these videos on your Tegra Note device and tell me whether you have the same issues or not? If you are willing, then DOWNLOAD ".mkv" video files to your COMPUTER/LAPTOP and then transfer them on the internal storage using usb cable.
I had this problem on android 4.2.2 , 4.3 and the latest 4.4.2.

I just tried play movies, and gallery and neither will play an .mkv. I typically use mxplayer and it has played everything I have thrown at it.

I second the mention of MX Player... I've been using it for years, and it's always worked like a charm for everything. For the record, some videos actually play smoother if you use software rendering instead of hardware... man, this is one quirky little tablet, Nvidia...
I have a cell phone here, it has a problem on the board and there is no sound and it does not play any type of media and games.
Does anyone know if it has any application that emulates sound just so I can play and watch the videos on youtube even if it is without audio?
OBS: I have already installed other roms to test, I am currently in havoc!
