Why on earth would you install MAGLDR 1.10 when 1.13 is the latest and best? Anyway, flash 1.13 then I would recommend following this guide to install NAND Android, flashing via USB Flasher is outdated, CWM is the only way to go.

1- Use a descriptive title.
2- Use the search before posting your question, being new does not you are allowed to post without searching.
3- There is no need for a step by step, there are already a gazzilion guide out there, you just have to look for them. (Look at my signature for specific HD2 search)
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Download this tool (After reading of course), follow the guides to update your recovery and then flash your desired ROM.

(req) NAND installation

Can someone post a detailed step by step guide on how to get a NAND android rom fully working on are hd2's?
1. download MAGLDR
2. download NAND Android ROM of choice.
3. Install MAGLDR on your HTC HD2 ( run ROMUpdateUtility.exe)
4. Boot HD2 and select in the menu "4. USB Flasher"(by scrolling down using the volume down key and selecting with the phone button)
5. Run ANDR_INSTALL.exe on your computer.
6. Wait while it does its thing.
7.Let it Reboot. enjoy.
And as I found out the hard way, you need HSPL 2.08 too !
Anyone know if it's possible to flash 2 Android builds to NAND? I installed the sense build by Cotulla. How would I go about trying the CM 6.1 w/o overwriting my current build?
Hi,
I read earlier that magldr would make it possible to boot WinMO from NAND and boot into Android from storage card. Tha's what I want (for now) since I'm still experimenting with Android and think I need WinMo to fallback when I ****up things.
Anyone already figured out how to do that?
TIA,
Cheers,
/Cacti

I'm using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857261 at the moment because I only get a 3-8ma drain using it as a Australian mate suggested it but gah, I'll switch if any NAND ROMs only have 3-8ma.
Should I use NAND Stock or Desire HD then? I wanna switch to NAND ASAP.
somone said that you need to have 2.08 hspl wich i have but waht about radio and windows mo requirements??

I agree, a sticky by one of the more experienced members in the near future would be very helpful, especially emphasizing the proper preparations and prerequisites. Because of all the hype and down right excitement and enthusiasm with Nand based Android, there's a ton of questions, information overload, and threads way too long to go through. A definite need for a one stop covers all type of sticky imho. If someone would be so kind, it would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Oooo MAGLDR V1.12! Upgrading etc

MAGLDR V1.12 soon! main features: *various bug-fixes *built-in recovery support.
Now I know there's already a post. But what I'm asking for is if someone can write a brief walk through on upgrading...from old versions or clockwork.
Is it a case that you use the DFT flasher with the latest version to take the phone up to 1.12, then run the clockwork mod again? Or will clockwork not be required any more as it says it has built in recovery support?
Thought I'd get this nailed now before hundreds of questions plague the forum!
Step by step.
0. HardSPL should already be installed
1. Download and flash your carriers LATEST SHIPPED OFFICIAL ROM
2. Download and flash latest MAGLDR
3. Use latest MAGLDR to install Nand ROM of choice.
Very simple.

you can actually just flash 1.12 over 1.11 without having to go stock > HSPL first, just know that it will erase your current ROM per Cotulla it repartitions so back up your current ROM. If you're using CWM what you'd do is:
1) go into CWM and backup your ROM
2) Flash MAGLDR 1.12
3) Flash CWM
4) enter CWM and restore your backed up ROM.
If you want to do a "clean" install (recommended by some) then do as dharvey recommends, but I'd throw a task29 in there before flashing stock for that extra "clean" feeling.
edit: after re-reading your post, you have a point on maybe CWM being built into 1.12. If this is the case then you would skip step 3 and go from step 2 to accessing the built in CWM and restoring as in step 4.

Like TheATHEIST says, I don't think flashing a stock WinMo ROM makes a lot of sense here. Just flashing MAGLDR directly after task29 would be more sensible, I'd think.
Like you say, when you flash some Android ROM MAGLDR will repartition and overwrite the contents of your NAND anyway. No need to fill it with unnecessary WinMo stuff first.
Anyone here have a 1.12 beta?
I think there is no need for this thread. Cotulla should have the full instructions on how to upgrade from 1.10 or 1.11 when he has updated his post to the 1.12 build. It is too early to give update instructions for somthing that is yet to be released!

Not quite, I`m afraid. As people have mentioned before, you can just back-up everything then restore those back-ups after upgrading. Really isn`t that hard...

I agree. But I do a mtty- task 28, task 29 first before any new nbh. I also do a task2a but that is a bit much for most here who can't bring it back afterwards. For any interested in undoing task2a-clean let me know - not that hard -really. Damn I hope MAGLDR 1.12 can boot WM6.5 also ! and UBUNTU zImage/rootfs.ext2... Not gonna even mention wp7 although I heard it now has .pvk cracked and is LIVE. As long as bugs fixed be great: but ubuntu, ext2 support for it, and wp6 .nbh rom load from sd would be great. I am using darkstone super-nand with RAM image partition and getting OVER 4000 on QUADRANT with ABSOLUTELTY NO OVERCLOCKING. With over clocking it is crazy. Cant wait for (sorry off topic) super-nand with OC1536-smartass.
Only benefit of flashing stock rom is it does remove hspl and for some reason seems to CLEAN it out - ie: spl, radio, all nand etc. Ive been doing that and task2a AFTER enabling uselast24nand succesfully but had to make MY OWN NBH to get it back and put SPL/HSPL back onto after RSA FAIL = "bricked".
More seriously:
Anyone here know how to make magldr work with zImage and initrd from ubuntu? and mount/shrink/"yaffs" rootfs.ext2 ? maybe using initrd from CLK1.1 .nbh? or even darkstone's initrd and point onward to rootfs?

Yep. But #htc-linux is the only place to go for that but is waste: he is BUSY with two major projects . dont think he reads this but DFT do: mwang etc.
ps: darkstone-superNAND-rules: quadrant over4000 with no Overclocking at all and is Killer!
pps: Ubuntu DOES "boot" on Magldr 1.11 and gets upto keyboard and desktop - then freezes - why is this - note: must be in \linux and magldr pointed to it. It stays ALIVE a LOT longer under darkstone's supernand rom obviously due to something with ram partition? Any idea how to make it work? and keep it fully ALIVE?

Yes. You'll obviously need magldr 1.12, and you will lose Android, but you can flash WP7 directly over it.
I just flashed MAGLDR 1.12 it doesn't seem you need to reinstall android, do i need to reinstall android? Will there be bugs, etc..?

Flashing magldr alone will not do anything to your installed ROM. You don't need to worry about reinstalling Android.

Need help figuring out what went wrong with Android install

My wife was having trouble with Windows mobile on her HD2 and asked me to flash Android on her phone so it wouldn't constantly crash and what not.
I have:
* HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
* Radio that support 576 RAM
* DFT MAGLDR Bootloader
* ClockworkMod Recovery
from this guide right here.
And I have installed this ROM via ClockworkMod instead of the ROM mentioned in the first guide because I thought Cyanogenmod 7 would be nicer.
Here is the problem, the phone has been stuck on the "HTC HD2" screen with the Android logo and "MDJ" on the bottom right corner, it has been stuck for over 30 minutes now so I'm going to assume something went wrong, the problem is that I can't figure out what. Does any one have any ideas? was something I did incompatible with anything from the 2 different guides?

I'm sorry...But which part of following the android build developer's instructions do you not get?....Fine, u decided 2 go thru CWR & i commend you for dat but it clearly states in [22 JAN] -=MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.6 [A2SD+][GRH78C][RMNET][Kernel: MDJ S10.4 OC] thread from which you got the build that you should install thus;
Installation:
You should have at least MAGLDR 1.12 on device.
For installation you need enter MAGLDR (hold power button during boot)
and select "Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is "green".
(The above instructions means its a DFT build NOT FLASHABLE BY CWR).....
There are 3 videos in the original post detailing HOW to properly flash this rom...Now tell me...why oh why would you go against the original dev's instructions over one posted on a blog site?...
P.S. 4give my ranting but hope i solved your very SIMPLE problem and Yes, Flashing a nand DFT build will remove your CWR installation (which means should u decide 2 flash a CWR based build? u'll have 2 install CWR again.)
You know when I was looking over at all the information again I noticed that too risght after posting this, I guess all the information I just learned made me forget about needing at least MAGLDR 1.12, my bad. For magldr 1.13, boot to bootloader (multi-colured screen) and run the romupdateutility from the download. You will then need to apply the cwm1.3 partition and then boot to AD Recovery to install the rom.
Ok I was able to update to 1.13 through the bootloader, what I don't get is "to apply the cwm1.3 partition" I'm not familiar with the meaning of cwm1.3 since it wasn't mentioned in any of the guides I just read.

It doesn't matter if you have magldr 1.12 or 1.13. What matters is installing daf vs cwm and not daf-cwm.
Based on your first post, you tried installing a daf nand rom via cwm. That is, based on the links you have given. It has been point out also by vocrane on hist post.
I'm sure this is a dumb question but, what is daf?

Daf = daf.exe ie the executable file you click to install a "daf" build as opposed to a zip build which you flash via cwm from your sd card.
PS! you'll find info on cwm 1.3 here
I see, I couldn't find a daf.exe file from the downloads of the ROM I was looking at, does that mean I'll have to find another rom that is flashed via "daf.exe"?
If you need to install the rom via USB Flasher from magldr, it will either have a daf.exe or install.exe file (or should at least). The roms you flash via cwm are in zip format and have afew sub folders which you copy to your sd card (the full unzipped zip file that is) and you then boot into cwm and install the rom from sd card.
I really need to get some sleep, I just found it. I'm flashing it right now.

Here's a quick lowdown...
There r currently 2 main ways u can get android on ur hd2...
Method 1.......Thru sd card (gives u dual-boot options with either WP7 or WinMo 6.5.x
Method 2.......On Nand which installs directly on your device, thereby wiping out WinMo (u've progressed in dis path since u've installed MAGDLR 1.13)....
>>>>>>Method 2 has 2 options;
Option 1......Involves flashing a "DFT Build" via the DAF installer included in the downloaded Build...(D build by Cyanogenmod 7 u pointed out earlier has 2 be installed thru dis method)...
Option 2......Involves flashing a "Zipped Build" via the CWR method...i recommend using builds which have this installation option as they offer more flexibility (full backup & restore)...
Option 1 & Option 2 CANNOT co-exist wit each other...

Beginning to give up !!

Hi,
I am seriously beginning to give up on install Android on my HTC HD2 U.K. T mobile.
I have installed a ROM before via a video but every time I try to find a ROM I like it seems different to install than the previous one.
I have no idea where to begin and keep losing the will to keep my HTC HD2.
I really like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250703
But no idea where top begin.
On the site I see this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download:
Magldr version:
- EU: MIRROR 1 - MIRROR 2 (CWR: 5/195/5 + EXT2/3/4)
- Tmous: MIRROR 1 - MIRROR 2 (CWR: 5/440/5)
cLK version
- Flash the Magldr versions, don't reboot, flash any kernel cLK you want, reboot
Eu version supported APP2SD so it will AUTO REBOOT 2 times ! It's NORMAN !
Note: turn OFF steoreo when record video !
CAMERA, CAMCORDER fix:
- EU: http://ul.to/0j6jwbvy
- Tmous: http://ul.to/oz4jm1a5
Kernels for Bliss ONLY !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do I download the eu version? And do I need to download Magldr or CLk ?
And how do I install the Camera/Camcorder fix?
if your phone is not a tmous(usa) hd2 you must download eu version.
using mgldr is easier, so i recommend flashing mgldr.
in order to flash any fixes, you must run the rom successfully first.
in oder to flash this rom with an eu-hd2 you must have 1gb or 2gb sd-ext partition.

Thanks for pointing that out. Which roms do you recommend? And where's the best place to find them?

good choice. i have been using it recently.
now download it.
i assume you flashed mgldr.
now in mgldr go to usb flasher.be sure you see usb flasher.....usb in screen
in nand toolkit choose mgldr repartition (at left top)
choose 400mb partition size(at left)
write 4 instead of 45 as cache size
click repartition at right bottom.so you'll have repartitioned your nand.
when you come to this stage write here, we'll have only a few steps to finish.

i've never done this but it's possible (i think you will not).
now in mgldr menu go to ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-1024-0
(so you'll have an sd-ext partition of 1gb which is necessary for this and many other roms)
then in mgldr menu (you can go to this menu by rebooting or pulling out battery) go ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage-when pc sees phone, send rom to phone
now go to mgldr menu-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom and choose with call button-after installation is complete reboot phone-after approximately 20 minutes the phone will be ready.
when done write here i will have some suggestions to improve the rom.
Hey thanks for breaking it down. I kept getting confused around CWM. None of the other guides helped much. Finally got a custom Android ROM installed.
Exelent assistance mutil, but why don't u recommend to install on SD.... Its more easy and less trouble...
Although this might help others with same conflict...

how to install clk without hd2 toolkit

hey ... how r u? ... i got a problem im using magldr ... there is some roms which r made to be installed by only clk .... so i searched for how to install clk and cwm on my phone and all the guides need the HD2 toolkit and cant find any guides for installing clk without HD2 toolkit ..... the only guide i found talking about installing clk from sd card but i cant find the attached files the guide talking about ...the problem is that im using windows 8 and HD2 toolkit is not supported in windows 8 and i dont think there will be any new ver for HD2 toolkit to get supported in windows 8
so is there a way or guide to install clk and cwm without using HD2 toolkit also nearly 90% of the magldr and clk download links r too old and broken
It's easy, just grab the cLK version you want, and install it (the .nbh file) normally like you would do MAGLDR, WinMo, Radio etc....
OK, you're right, thanks for note me, I will spend more time to read more

Yeah, the answer Marvlesz provided doesn't use the HD2 Toolkit. It's nice that you're trying to help but don't do so if you don't know what you're doing. Thanks

Go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402975 and follow the guide in post 3 to install clk 1.5 via the second method mentioned. you will get a link for clk 1.5 there also.
Should of mentioned this version if clk also installs cwm recovery...

Hold the back button and hit the power button and you will boot to clk.
Resizing partitions is under the settings menu.
To boot to recovery just select it from the menu.
