I've also noticed that with the latest CM's battery life is an issue for me. Ive got KoR roms to last almost two full days but cm is dead within 20 hours.
My battery life has changed as well and I now have to keep my travel charger and car charger with me at all times or suffer with a dead phone.
i had been running rc3 with the 8-19 kernel, and my battery life was similar to stock, but the combination of latest CM and wildmonks are just killing me... i think im going to go back to rc3 with the 8-19 kernel.
Check the active processes. You can't drain the battery in 8 hours unless you have a process stuck, using 100% CPU constantly (possibly Exchange?).
good thought, but im not an exchange user... i cant seem to isolate the issue. im going to do a full wipe and try stock to see if maybe i have a bad battery.
People with battery life issues should try Enom's ROM with a wildmonks kernel. I'm 18 hours in of a full charge and I'm at 76%. That's normal use with full screen brightness, wifi and gps, quite a few background updating apps, etc.
Over 50% of power usage should be the display under even moderate usage.
With wifi, push, and poll active, the battery drop per hour with the screen off should be less than 1%.
If it's higher than that, you need to find the rogue process or get rid of an automatic task killer.

Display is most of my usage with over 50% every time. I have one app that auto updates in the background, Twitter, and thats every half hour. I do have 3g on but with wireless on most of the time. GPS, Autosync, and Auto-Brightness is on. I play one game twice a day, World War, once in the morning, once at night, but both times are usually on the charger.
Now that I think about it, Im a part of latitude but maps/latitude never consume battery according the about>battery.
Either way CM6 full charge starting at 4am, with light-moderate use, will be dead at like 5pm. I can go almost 2 days on a single charge of KoR rom. Enoms rom I have tried and lasts a full day +some...

I have the same issue and have had it since RC2. I can deal with it since I have the desktop dock at work, the car dock, and two wall chargers at home. The drain is pretty noticeable -- after about 30 minutes of the phone being off the charger and left alone with screen off, the battery charge is at 94% with "Display" using 65% of that. Wifi/BT/GPS off.
Like I said, it's not a big deal right now because I have chargers everywhere, but it's really annoying. I'm still searching for the fix, but if I can't find it, back to MCR for me.
I tried CM for 1 week and I must say the extra glitters is not worth the poor battery life., only lasted 1 day if used moderately. I just switched back to FRF91 Stock Rom today, lasts me 2days if used moderately. Longivity of the battery is another long term concern people should think about. I still miss my modded dialpad with big buttons, cool trackball colors and many more, CM is such a TEASE!
What kind of battery life are people getting with Pershoot's latest? It's undervolted, so it should do pretty well.

Tried Enom? I've seen zero difference in battery life, perhaps slightly better, since switching to it from stock Froyo on my N1.
In the battery use screen, what's draining the battery with the screen off? Let the phone drain like 10% with the screen off the entire time after unplugging.
several recent nighties and cm6.0.0 seem to have something broken.. Four hours of standby after full charge and the battery level already @ 83%.
cell standby 32%; idle 29%; display (wtf was turned off all the time) 28%.
Drains twice as fast compared to older CM roms..
The LEDs are also considered the Display by the battery meter.
Still, 17% in four hours is enormous. I guess I'll have to hold off on CM6 until they sort this out.
Dicks! 4% battery drain in one hour with almost no use, and that's after flashing pershoot's undervolted kernel. No way.
I'm going to try wildmonk's kernel now. :/
I have had my Note for 9 days now and wonder if my battery may have an issue. Yes the phone is entering deep sleep, No I don't have any specific app that is running it dry. Screen takes most of the juice. I have it set at automatic brightness. Everything is off. It does auto sync. Signal is fantastic. I can hardly get 3/4ths of a day. I usually spend 30 minutes on the phone. 30 emails, 2 hours browsing, 30 minutes on tapatalk. This has always been my pattern and coming from a Motorola photon I always made the day easily. I'm on ISC (stock) not rooted just plain old stock. I'm thinking maybe a battery problem? What do you all think? Thanks for your help.

I've only had my note a couple days. I've gotten about 10-12 hours out of it both days. But that was with what I would call moderate to less then moderate usage. A little web browsing and facebook, probably less then 2 hours total. Maybe 20-30 texts and reading emails for maybe 30 minutes and 10-15 minutes of calls. I'm not sure what to expect, I am coming from a rooted HTC evo which I ran a lot of custom roms/kernels on, so I got great battery life with it. But I don't remember how it performed stock. The Note gets me through my work day, but not much more.
Charge the battery to full.
Let it drain completely (till it turns itself off).
Charge the battery to full once more.
I don't know the science behind it, nor does everyone benefit from doing this. (Something to do with calibration of the battery) but I do this after every major update, or new phone. I'm currently sat on 44% battery after 24hours usage (Moderate, certainly not heavy usage).
You have to remember the note will consume a large amount of battery simply because of its screen size (As you've noted its the biggest offender).
Someone with more experience/knowledge will hopefully be along shortly to give you better more informed advice but this is what I know from experience.
Normally what I have seen is I get approx near
4 hours of battery life (screen on time)

Batterylife on samsung ics (XXLPY) is terrible if you compare it to gingerbread. It is nearly cut down in half. I guess touchwizz has gotten more hungry than before or samsung has altered ics so much that the advantages are gone.

I do this method every 2 or 3 months on all my devices (iPod, phone, Laptop) so that the percentage or battery shown on the devices is more accurate. I read somewhere that since most of us charge out devices before battery dies completely, like we charge it when its 80 or 60 or even 20 instead of charging it when it completely dies, doing so makes the accuracy of the percentage very low but we can't help it but to charge it at what ever percentage for various reason thus, I always drain all my battery on devices completely than charge it full before using (minus the first full charging). Any ways if your ICS it seems to be a bug, it cannot be fixed until a new update.

Do the charge/drain cycle.
I've done this and improved the battery life immensely.
Currently my note has been on for 3d 21h 16m 1s and has 11% charge left - okay so it hasn't been used much over the weekend but that not a bad standby time.
I dont know what is wrong with my N4 but suddenly it started consuming very much of battery..earlier it used to give me battery run of almost 20+ hours with normal to moderate use but now with similar usages my battery does not even lasts 8-9 hours.
ROM:- Carbon (Nighly 19th September)
Kernal:- Franco (JSS r183 nighly)
Governor:- Interactive
I have installed both BBS & Wakelock detector...but there is no rogue app keeping my N4 awake..
As per my today's analysis
Battery lasted 8 hr 30 mins.
SOT(46min)
Voice Calls:- 8 mins
Awake %- 33% (rest of time deep sleep)
Usages:- Very less use (was at office whole day and phone was sitting idle at my desk)
And i have noticed a strange thing :- it takes very long to charge completely..Earlier it used to get fully charge in 2-3 hours..now its taking almost double of it.
Any ideas people...My N4 is just 5-6 months old..Is there any issue with my Battery..? I can not see back of my phone swollen or nething..
REally appreciate the help
Could be a battery problem but you might want to try simulating a battery pull you can do this by making sure you n4 is powered off and not on the charger then hold the volume up and power together for 60 seconds, reboot and see if theirs any change.

Any change as in battery % increase..? I did that but battery percentage remained same...? Do you thing there can be any issue with my rom or kernal installation..? Should I do a factory reset and install my Rom and kernal again..?
Is anyone experiencing weird issues with battery before recharging? i had 2 days phone on batt and 3hrs screen on. It was at 53 % before i decided to charge. I fully charged it and now im losing 10% every hour even with phone on idle. Its weird cause every other charge will last a long time.

Yeah, I'm still stock on this phone and I'm getting inconsistent battery life. I usually charge every night, so I'm running about 16-17 hours per day. Almost identical usage each day but one day I'll plug in with 45-50% remaining and the next it will be dead when i plug in. Very odd. I'm going to root this thing just so I can get rid of the bloat apps. Well, that may not be the only reason I root. I may be compelled to put some AOSP on this and see how it rocks it.
well i don`t really recommend to ROOT stock rom, it caused for me a battery drain ! also KitKat known for drain issue even on Pure android on Nexus 5. I don`t really know a fix but i`d give u some tip and it might help
1. Re-flash D80020c
2. After re-flash do a factory reset
3. Don`t root or mod your OS
4. Turn off Sync or Location Service (or set to battery saver mode)
i did those steps and i have 34 hour on battery:
3 Hour screen on time (and about 30-40 min gaming in this 3 hour)
Left about 49%
i hope i helped a little
Potential solutions:
Have a look in Settings > General > Battery and see what seems to be using the most power. You could have a problem app that’s using GPS or trying to update frequently. If you can identify the culprit then you can remove it.
There’s a slim chance you have a faulty handset. If adjusting your usage and tweaking settings doesn’t’ result in any improvement then take your LG G2 back to the retailer or carrier and get a replacement.

I always have location turned off with all bloatware rwmoved. I honestly think you have to drain it to about 20% then charge. Cause i never have problems when i do that. Gonna try and drain it out again and recharge and see what happens then.

Its kitkat,it says rooted d80020c in my signature. Well here is my latest results. Left it on overnight and was at 53% with data off. Checked it this morning and everything was back to normal again no battery drain or low estimated battery times.weird cause i charged it around this percentage. I think you have to take it down to at least 20 before charging will find out later today when i charge.

well i really not heard about Deep sleep drain but while idle it`s drains bit faster then JB, with jb i could get max 40 hour and about 6hr screen on time and + 10-15% battery while on KK i can get 42 hour but about 5 hr and 45 min screen on time with 0% battery it`s seems a bit problem for 4.4.2 i think Google will fix it and hopefull we`ll get new update from AT&T if this prob will fixed
P.S i saw that if battery at 100%, overnight it won`t fall to 99 but while battery is on below 100% it drains about 1-2 % overnight is that a known prob?

2% overnight is pretty good, given that it's on WIFI I'm assuming?
I lost 25% overnight last night when I was off WIFI, so I factory resetted mine.
Took it down to 20% and discharged and its fine. Im guessing its a bug, but, easy fix just take the battery down to 20% or lower before charging
So basically I have noticed this weird problem which happens on any ROM or stock and even custom or stock kernel. Whenever I fully discharge my phone from 100% to 0 till it you know completely shuts off and then recharge it I can get decent battery life of about 6 to 7 hours on screen time however if say I started re charging my phone from 2 or 5 or 10 % and then use it my SOT time seems to decrease to about 3 to 4 hours which sucks. Does anyone know what might be causing this ?

Historically this was a rough way to calibrate your battery although with lithium it's actually detrimental to the longevity of it.
From the years I've had mobile phones (early 90s) and the tests I've done over those years I've come to find that is how you use your phone that effects battery the most, en more so the content on your phone, so if you've got Twitter, Facebook. Snapchat, WhatsApp all running as well as apps which have push ads and live widgets, then your device will suffer for it.
Keeping the device light with only apps that you need and by not allowing it to completely die not over charging your battery will provide the best and longest experience.
I average 2 days battery with around 8-9 hours SOT, with some tweaks and a push I can get over 10 hours with 10 hours 50 minutes being my longest.
There should be no reason why charging from 0 or 10% would have a difference on your SOT.
Lighten the load, use a stock kernel and about overcharging your device and see how you get on

Currently on the latest no limits v10, stock kernel which is always the best fit stamina and stability
Unless you need to mod something like audio, in that case elemental would be.
