Now, why would this be of interest to us custom flashers here on XDA? Well, I think it would make it easier/possible to make a flashtool for the Mac. Since we already have versions for Windows and Linux, it can't hurt to have it for the Mac right?
Sending to Bin4ry and Androxyde!
Here's their statement (for those too lazy to click the link ).
Are you a Mac user?
…then you might have already noticed that during the autumn we have released a new Mac OS application: ‘Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac’ for our Xperia™ smartphones.
This great application lets you seamlessly connect your Xperia™ phone to your Mac computer. With a few clicks, you can fill your Xperia™ smartphone with new media – Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts and Playlists – by syncing with iTunes™.
Bridge for Mac is also designed to help you free up the memory of your Xperia™, by moving your photos and videos to iPhoto™, so that you can capture even more precious moments!
If you are not an iTunes™/iPhoto™ user, you can sync your Xperia™ content with folders on your disk or just simply drag and drop any type of files between your Xperia™ phone and your Mac.
Cool eh? There is more! We have some more exciting news to share with you, especially for those who in the past have raised the question “I’m a Mac user, how can I update my Xperia™ phone using my Mac?”.
We’re happy to announce that the Bridge for Mac will introduce SW update functionality in the coming release 2.0. Those of you who have previously used our Windows software, PC Companion, will recognize the SW update experience in Bridge for Mac: connect, get notified, accept and update!
Great news! Now what do I have to do, to put my hands on this Bridge for Mac?
You can already today download Bridge for Mac 1.2 from the download section of our support web, www.sonyericsson.com/support, there you will find all the details you might need to know about the application. Once the Bridge for Mac is downloaded and installed it will keep you automatically notified of future releases.
One more thing, don’t hesitate to discuss and share your queries related to Bridge for Mac or any other of our computer applications with the great community on Support Forum, check out the Software Download section.

It is the memory requirements for this application that has forced the company to discontinue any new versions/updates and provide the last one for free without any support.
They stated "at this point in time WM devices can't handle the next level we want to take our software. So instead of producing an application that does not meet our standards we have decided to pull it from the market"
Perhaps more of an excuse for the software developers not being able to work within the constraints of current PDA limits- who knows.
Right you are... eats up about 6mb of memory. But still I enjoy showing it off to my buddies. I'm not sure if this can be installed and run from a storage card. Will do tomorrow.
Hey, if you want your PDA to look like Windows, use Windows

Have you tried to create a webpage from the screen of the PDA??
I would actually make use of your TSC program had I a suitable device- unfortunately still stuck with JAM- no point of term. services via bluetooth!
Wouldn't mind having one of those up and coming mini-tablet style devices that are due to run the full blown version of XP though.
I'd like to have an OQO or something Unfortunately even the Universal's screen becomes too much work on the eyes after a while. Such a dilema: want a big (VGA) screen, want a small phone. Not gonna happen.
I don't think I'd like an OQO day to day, but nice in bed. But yes, VJFullscreenTSC could be used to write webpages from the Uni.
As I understand it, Experience is a flash app isn't it?

Work in progress. Video URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0MqPMMBUqQ
The application mockup is done in JavaME. The UI engine powering all the animation is from UK's Tricastmedia - TWUIK
Not enough? Lots' more videos showing prolished GUI created with TWUIK here -> TWUIK UI midlet demos. See Nokia Widsets and Yahoo! GO UI mockup developed using TWUIK.
Wow...that GUI looks nice. Very interesting. Does anyone think something similair can be created for the java machine on our PPCs?
where do u download it
that looks pretty cool... as ive read you not going to be publishing this? am i correct? would really like to try it out on my TyTN
If they're not gonna release that, then why show it off?
On J2ME? But why? A bigger memory hog?
I dont think this can be used on a pocket pc, since it's not java oriented.
S60 will work.
J2ME to make it work with most MObile (ppc included)
hamoda-t: notice that you need a touchscreen, which not all mobiles have, in fact only few do.
I don't remember Nokia being tactile? (but I don't follow Nokia scene development).
And Windows Mobile has a built in Java virtual machine....
Hi,
Tricastmedia has WM5/6 compatibility for TWUIK, so... It can run without problems since TWUIK is cross platform, using Java or native PPC code or any other supported platform. Read @ Tricastmedia page.

Taguapire.

this is EXACTLY what i needed. thank you.
In the past this software has only worked for about 1 month before needing a serial code to activate and keep working.
I assume this will be the same with this one or am I wrong?
Wait, the topic says "control your PC from your PDA" but the description is "control your PDA from your PC"...
which one is it?

Looks like it may go all ways.
Looks like the server software is free, but you must buy the client software.
I'll stick with LogMeIn for free.
I just installed this software and it works great! LogMeIn.com and Go2MyPC.com are easier to work with but neither supports audio on the PPC only from PC to PC. With Remote2PC it was easier to switch to a static IP address account to log on instead of creating a DDNS account. There are also more on screen icons on the Remote2PC software than the LogMeIn.
Only thing with the audio on Remote2PC is that it's capturing the audio from my web cam microphone. I would like to capture sound from my sound card. I heard one suggestion to use a standard male to male jack and loop it from the microphone port to the speaker port but haven't tried it out yet. It always astounds people when you tell them that you are controlling your computer remotely. I also like to use LimeWire and PalTalk on my PDA.
You can use this software from PPC to PC and PC to PPC. And although this thread title says Freeware it is not. The site offers this software for $39 but when checking out it only costs $15 for 1 year. Still better than LogMeIN which might be free but is $70 for the Pro version to enable sound (just not on a PPC)

A Call to Action !! Windows Phone fans...Smart Watch and/or open Smart Watch support!

Many of you will not know me, or remember me from the HTC HD2 area, or HTC Typhoon days ( by the way Thanks for all the great roms guys !!!!), however I never left Windows Phone, just moved up to a Nokia Lumia 1020.
Any way I have wanted a Smart Watch more then likely longer then most, not important, but being I have always been a Windows Phone user I have been on the outside looking in, like most of you. The Brave Pebble users aside, as they only have 3rd party Support, with 3rd Party coders not given access to allow sms/email/notifications. Microsoft only grants access to OEM, and Pebble is not interested in building for Windows Phone.
Any way things need to change and they need to move forward, but Microsoft for some reason does not see the need to expand beyond The Band. A good bit of kit, but designed for the fitness fans, not for the Smart Watch crowd, as The Band can not do the most basic of Smart Watch........a Watch Face.
Now news has leaked out that during the change of ownership of Nokia's Mobile division, a Smart Watch was to release with the Nokia Lumia 930, Moonraker was it's code name, but Microsoft stopped it's release. I see this is a slap in the face to Windows Phone users/Supporters/Fans, and Should not Stand !!!!
I give you Moonraker.....

Any way I am looking to drum up support, votes, tweets and retweets, hash taggers...and any other way you think you can push a message across to get Microsoft in Gear !!!! To either reverse the nix on the Moonraker or take the wraps off of what ever project they may have in the works for Smart Watch/Windows Phone users.
Links to add support ( but feel free to post your own ideas as well !!!!!!) :

Microsoft User Voice to vote on:
A Call to release anything Smart Watch like, not just The Band
Open Support for 3rd Party, mainly Pebble
Also if you can think of any other ways to draw attention to this, Please post it up and add support. If we don't force the issue Microsoft will not see any need.
Ok thanks for reading!!! Hope you all join in and help raise a fuss

Show off your DEX desktop... and share hits, tips, usefull apps, sollutions...

Hi there folks!
At bottom you see my desktop from dex, i have fullHD samsung TV to work with dex, i wish to have better screen resolution but you know, money, money, money.... In nearest future i will buy desktop monitor and attach all cables and stuff to it. But later, ofcorse, i will share my setup.
I have few apps as you see, i use samsung internet browser for facebook due to it`s desktop mode that is best for dex, chrome`s facebook experience is not good, and samsung`s version is just like normal pc feel like facebook. So i have shortcut there. And for writing - for now i have open office port but this makes me angry due to spell checking, I`m writing native in Polish but i want to write also in english without mistakes and that open office port is just more problems that benefits. Also i have camera roll gallery app but also - to change because of lacking 360 photos view, any ideas?I had quicpic but i read that newest version is somehow buggy and this pink fonts... nope.
Rest of apps is just normal, and i cant find any other usefull apps to use with dex for now, i`ve try to connect my two hard drives to dex but it`s just not working like i want it to. What is funny - i have tv android box and this peace of cheap dung works normally with both hard drives... I`ve try different ntfs mounter sollutions but everytime - failure.
For now i feel like DEX is not developing anyhow, no updates, no new functions... i hope that this is no project like bada os project, i hope that this would be developed in future.
So, what is your ideas, apps, tricks and tips for DEX? How your DEX screen looks like?
