Kindle stuck at FireFireFire screen - Kindle Fire General

can someone please help me? Rooted and flashed CWM touch and all was going well until i accidentally hit fast reboot in reboot options. I can't connect to adb and whenever i "press power button for recovery" nothing happens, and it will just turn the screen off after about 12 seconds. I really hope someone can help me.. so please respond. I had not set up fastboot prior to doing this...
EDIT: I have a backup of the stock rooted ROM, but i can't get into recovery.

Had the same problem earlier today. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474392

I just set my directory to where my adb is set up, copy and pasted those two commands together and viola. I did have to change the first commands to ./fastboot-linux but that was it, it just rebooted and back to normal

I had to reboot my kindle, then when it got to the fire fire fire screen issue those commands, then reboot the kindle. You should probably reboot it via adb reboot.

you can also try to issue "fastboot -i 0x1949 oem idme bootmode 4000" - it will say <waiting for device> - then power off the kf by holding the pwr button for ~20 sec - unplug and replug - it should power on by itself - if not do it manually - if everything goes good the command is picked up by the kf - you'll see some dots and the command finishes - power off and on once more ...
btw. adb commands don't work in fastboot mode

thank you b63
rebooting the kf during "waiting for device" - GREAT PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR A NOOB!

[Q] Trouble installing recovery

So while installing recovery ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889 ) I click option 5 and it reboots my kindle and brings me to a screen on cmd that says
***********************************************
* WARNING *

The device is now restarting to install TWRP.
Do not press any key until you hit reboot on TWRP on the Kindle.
When you see the yellow triangle, you are safe to continue.

my Kindle just shows the kindle fire logo
I am not sure what to do from here because I don't see a yellow triangle....
Bump I keep getting this over and over... I.fix it by resetting fastboot to 4000 with cmd.. I figure the problem started because the server was down the last few days and it could not fetch the required files.
Has no one else experienced this

Are you not able to do it manually? It's actually rather easy.
To he honest I wasn't.aware of such a method if you could link that would be great

Rooted 6.2.2 using BurritoRoot3, flashing yellow triangle (but I can get past it)

I followed the burritoroot3 guide and I've got a minor annoyance.
When I reboot the device it always comes up with the yellow triangle and "press power button for recovery."
When I hit the power button it goes to the "kindle fire" normal bootup and proceeds to boot normally.
I am rooted, the kindle appears to work fine except for this minor annoyance.
What have I done wrong? What should my next step be to flash a CM7 build?
*edit*
Ah, OK, so the yellow triangle IS the firefirefire bootloader. WHy doesn't pushing the "power" button access the bootloader then?
*/edit*
Hold the power button until it turns from green to orange when the fire fire fire boot loader first appears.

Doesn't appear to work?
Here's what I did:
I turned my Kindle off.
Pressed "power" button once.
Boot loader appears, I again press power and hold until the light turns orange, then release
The screen goes black for a moment, yellow triangle appears, then "kindle fire" appears, then yellow triangle, then "kindle fire" and normal bootup.
Sorry, I just saw the second part of your question. I assume you have twrp installed since you used burritoroot3. Put the from zip file you downloaded into the sdcard directory of your kindle fire. Use the backup function in twrp to create a backup of your kindle fire in case the install goes wrong. After doing this go to the wipe menu in twrp do a factory reset and then go back to the main menu of twrp and hit install. Find the zip file with the the from in it you placed in the sdcard directory, select it and hit the flash button. Sorry this explanation isn't very good I'm typing on my kindle fire and this keyboard is weird.

Wow I'm stupid i forgot buritto root doesn't install twrp, go find the kindle fire utility on this forum and in my experience use an older build like the 0.9.1 and use it to install twrp

Allrighty, thanks to the helpful IRC folks I've got it all sorted out.
I didn't actually have a custom recovery installed.
I'm good to go now, at least as far as rooting goes...

[Q] TWRT bootloader

I feel slightly retarted at the moment, whenever I boot my kindle, I get a yellow caution sign. I try to press the button, but when i do, the screen goes blank for a second, then the sign comes back up, if i hold the button for longer thought, the kindle shuts off completely. Is there a secret art to doing thus?

Once you see the triangle tap the button once (I have a habit of taping it a few times lol ) once the screen turns off and back to the triangle let it do its thing its just switching over to recovery their is a 10 second delay

After the yellow triangle appears, I press and hold the power button until it turns from green to orange (device unplugged). I ignore the screen flickers. So far that's worked 100% of the time.
I usually just keep pressing it until the recovery loads.
TWRP recover boot
Ethanzh,
I just wait about 3 seconds and start pressing the power button until it turns orange.
Thanks,
JohninLex
ive tried all the above suggestions, but it still jumps straight to the kindle fire screen...

Here's how I got out of fastboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1533020
And here's instructions from the person that developed the program I used to root my Kindle in the first place:
mount the latest KindleWater .dmg then open the terminal and type the following commands
Only run the commands in bold.
first command start
/Volumes/KindleWater/.files/android-sdk/platform-tools/fastboot boot /Volumes/KindleWater/.files/cwmtouch.img
end
second command start after it boots to recovery
/Volumes/KindleWater/.files/android-sdk/platform-tools/adb reboot
end second command
My escape was slightly different that what northmendo says to do (his didn't work at first), but I used his first command line in the "fastboot" terminal and it worked perfectly.
I hope this helps.

Sound's like you used burrito root? It doesn't install a recovery. When the kindle fire screen flickers, thats the stock recovery.. Go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500935 and install clockworkmod recovery

I followed the above link and installed the recovery, it works noe, many thanks!!!

Kindle Fire Fire Fire bootloader problem.

So I rooted via KindleWater on a Mac, and it supposibly installed the fire fire fire bootloader (the yellow triangle at boot), but whenever I press the power button during boot, nothing happens, how do I fix this??
Thanks

Try holding it down until the LED turns orange. See if that does it.
Will do, ill report back!

All it did was shut-down the Kindle ;-(

Did you install recovery module such as cwm. You have to have bootloder and recovery installed to go to recovery when you press a power during booting.

Do you get the firefirefire logo at all when you boot up?
If so, then a momentary hold on the power button should cause the power button light to go from green to orange, and then just wait and it will load into Clockworkmod Recovery (CWM)
If you are not getting the firefirefire logo at all when you boot up, my recommendation is to re-do the kindlewater installation and then reboot your kf. You should get the triangle yellow logo when the reboot kicks in... it sits there a few seconds then passes through to the regular boot, highlighted "kindle fire" text bootup image.
If you wait to press the power button until the "kindle fire" text shows, it's too late to go into the recovery mode.
hope that helps.
if you used kindlewater you don't have a cwm I don't think. it roots, and installs fff, but unless you did the extra steps of downloading it manually then you have a stock kindle recovery.
head over to my gscript thread to install cwm.

As posted above you also need some custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
Otherwise you cannot benefit from FFF
Stuck in TWR
So my kindle keeps booting Team Win recovery now. I am at the point where it installed the firebootlaoder but it didn't go right. Anyone have any suggestions?
Edit: the device was grabbed by another process, killed that process. Able to open an adb shell and ran this "idme bootmode 4000"

What'd you do that caused the bootloop? What modifications did you make?
Also, were you able to access recovery mode before the bootloop? Hold the power button for 20 seconds to turn the device off first. The key combination is volume up + power when the tablet is off. When the Amazon logo pops up, let go of all buttons.
Lastly, can you connect to adb while on the fire logo? You could try the command:
adb reboot recovery
Sorry I have only now responded, but I haven't tried your adb idea and I was able to use recovery mode before the bootloop curse
EDIT:

It didn't work.
Also, I don't know what caused it.
