i installed the clockworkmod touch version last night and it is awesome! i first tried TWRP touch and it was so buggy it wasnt worth using (that could have changed by now, i havent heard anything). it's about time a stable recovery mod came out! having to press my volume and power keys over and over had me worried theyd break. not anymore tho the $1.99 price tag is worth it (even tho i bought the rom manager pro for $5) considering the price of phone repairs or a new phone.. what do you think of cwm touch?

What do you mean by 'isn't a permanent flash'? It is permanent if you disable the stock recovery (rename or delete) or flash a custom rom.

Sounds like you're using Eugene's kernel he put that on his kernel so if your phone sits on boot screen after a flash easy way to tell if it froze or not

I was having it on CyberGR-mod v5 but on v6 and v7 it doesnt shows up. Maybe it's because I've flashed Matr1x kernel.

I got my nexus s 4g with the same intention I've had with all my androids..root,flash custom rom, custom kernel, n have perfection on my phone. Well how surprised do u think i was when i got the phone n fell in love with the stock rom. Holy crap is the stock rom basically flawless...lol

Same here bro, same here!
Same, I don't see too much to complain about on stock. It's light, responsive and fairly stable. I'll root it eventually of course though. I'm sure there are too many under-the-hood options that I'll be dying without before long
My only complaint seems to be random data drop outs. Is that a known issue or wtf is going on lol

Nexus s 4g is plagued with all sorts of data issues. Its what the alleged ota is suppose to fix. As far as the stock rom, I almost always run stock with a matrix kernel. I like bln amd voodoo color.

wouldn't download from my phone either, I had to do it from my computer.
I've been running this for a couple days now. And its freaking awesome. One of the more original roms that are around. I really like the toggles in the notification. Took me a minute to find them tho. I flashed this twice before I figured it out. I haven't had any issues at all. Except for the occasional browser crash but I've got that with every ics rom. To download on your phone try requesting desktop page, or use opera mobile. I'm hanging on to this one for a while. If only I could get the on screen buttons.

I typically use Pete's ROMs, because I like the vanilla experience. I've heard some good things about this ROM though, so I'm considering it. How "vanilla" is it?
As a gauge, I think CM7 is far too "bloated". No hate, just personal preference.

Since I have seen the Nexus devices confused in this thread I hope this helps.
i9020T - SAMOLED GSM with AWS bands for T-Mobile's 3g.
i9020A - SAMOLED GSM with ATT's 3g bands.
i9023 - SLCD GSM sold in some European countries.
D720 - SAMOLED CDMA and WiMAX for Sprints 3g and 4g networks. The D720 is the only Nexus S model to carry the 4G tag as its the only nexus s with 4g.
Hope that helps clear the confusion.

hey, i just got a nexus s 4g (sprint). I was wondering what ICS roms are most stable and quick? There are quite a few and i was just wondering what people thought. I just want a rom for everyday use, nothing too crazy, maybe OC and UV. but i dont want any with soft reboots or anything.
thanks
