So i was forced to upgrade it to 4.0.2.A.0.62. But not having the ability to root .62 is not making me happy.
So..
Where can i download the official .42 firmware so i can root my phone again?
Thanks
so how exactly is it bricked?
And just search on the forums or use wotanserver
Type in the firmware name in Google and you'll find it.

Search the developement section, there are some threads.
And you could also flash the .42 firmware from CM7 thread.
Btw, you also accidentally posted in the wrong section.

Why it shouldn't?
If you only delete the wrong app, you're getting one FC after another.
So I really doubt it that it won't brick the device.

When you render a device useless it can without the world ending (shocking huh?) be refered to ass bricked.

Dude, chill a bit. We're just messing around.
None of the firmwares are hard to find, it's certainly easier than getting yourself uptight mate.
Did I say I never have accidents?
I've done plenty of stupid things, but then I'm old and have been online since the beginning, my reward is being able to find amusement in less experienced people making the same errors I have in the past.

LMFAO.
That was great.
As far as a solution to a not so savvy user. Use the sdx app. First copy the fascinate mms to your sdcard in the sdx backup folder. Then remove stock mms then restore faginate mms. Personally I use the eclair mms with no limit mod and inverted. (Black)

Pccompanion was always better. In S(E)US you could only download the files with a locked bootloader, at least with pccompanion it allows you to download the files then stops at the installation part with an unlocked bootloader. This lets you make the FTF file and flash it anyway. So much easier.....
When I was using SEUS pc companion didn't exist.
SEUS have sentimental worth, you cannot understand that if you didn't use Sony Ericsson in last 6-7 years

My program doesn't need anything from the users, it gets the official FILE_* from Sony's Update servers. You can create any FTF you want with them. I've got some private complementary programs that search for new CDFs and new releases automatically. The CDA numbers will be stored on my own servers along with Release information (because Sony removes old releases from the update, but the actual files are still on the server, which means any release before I started to build this program are probably gone forever).
Hey,
It was not meant negatively, just a heads up, I just though it may help you or them in furthering your project

Did I sound negative? Sorry, too much House MD hah.
I was just pointing out that our programs use different approaches. I do the updating manually using my own automatic tools.
That guys actually relies on the community to provide ready-to-use FTFs hosted on public sharing sites.

Don't bother! Fake and malicious files
Malicious site/link. Once you battle through the malicious pop ups and get to the actual download, the file that is trying to download is actual a .js (java script) file and NOT the rom file. So if you are insistent that your link is good then please keep it to yourself because this will cause people a LOT of grief if they click on the link in the OP.
TO ALL, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Instead use this link . It is at least legitimate although you need to register in order to download it. Is all this worth it? Probably not.
