If I flash r800x ftf with flashtool for verizon does that remove superuser? I am considering relocking bl to update ota.
Also does anyone know of a kernel that can be usef with stock rom/firmware that has cwr and it works. All I have tried is doomkernels and when I reflash to stock it never goes beyond the sony logo.
Ok, im on nAa and was wondering how to get back to stock. I found out i have to flash using flashtool or seus. Once i do this, will i have to root my phone again? and unlock bootloader again..?
i just ask my self where did you get info about flashing kernel using SEUS! flash it whit flashtool, and relax no need to root again!
Hi guys,
Have this RAZR M that i bought used, it has a firmware on it which I couldn't find anywhere. System Version says
"0.0.1.XT907-continuous.Verizon.en.US"
Also the back of the phone says XT905, while the firmware is of XT907
What's up with this firmware?
Also Fastboot shows bootloader unlocked Status 1.
Tried to unlock bootloader again (to get status 3) with motopocalypse but failed. I have already rooted it with motofail2go, and tried to flash twrp2.4 via fastboot (showed success). Now whenever i try to go into recovery it reboots and goes to normal boot byitself :S?
Do I need to have bootloader unlocked Status 3? How do i get that?
Also going through all this to be able to flash a XT905 Retail JB ROM, please help
I'm thinking it's an electrify for sprint or was at least. I'm not sure how compatible the current roms are with it.

Can't be an electrify, looks exactly like international razr m, and works on gsm, i've tested it working on gsm.
What about the bootloader status 1 and the recovery problem?

No idea... It looks like an official Verizon one... Maybe a prerelease? What android version is it?

If you're unlocked, there's no need to run motopocalypse. Sounds like you either flashed a bad recovery or your recovery flash failed.

Nope - shouldn't need to. If it didn't complain on flashing recovery you're unlocked

You could try an xt-907 ROM since that's what the phone thinks it is

It's 4.0.4
Flashed both cwm and twrp recovery through the razr m utility v1.2 and through fastboot. Always shows completed and rebooting to recovery, fails to boot to recovery and reboots to normal.
How do I flash the rom now, as i can't go into recovery?
rsd lite v6.14 just shows phone connected, when clicked on it shows all details as N/A, safe to flash with it?

Can't really say if it's safe or not, but when my phone is in Fastboot, RSDLite says N/A for all the parts of my phone as well, but flashes fine
Just one man's experience.

If i do it via rsd lite, will it flash the recovery and modem and kernel aswell? or just recovery?
btw i have removed the var, getvar and oem lines from the xml file (read better success that way)
and i'll be trying to flash the aussie retail xt905 retail rom, as the the back of the phone says xt905

Well, when I flash it flashes the radio and system files, and recovery. Last time I did it all my data was still there oddly.
But yes, all 3 of those will be flashed.

RSD doesn't remove userdata. It just flashes system

@Coronado is dead
flashed the xt905 au retail 4.1.2 via rsd lite and it wasn't picking up my sim anymore, so i thought maybe that rom was sim locked.
and i know verizon software isn't sim locked, flashed the team firmware verizon 4.1.2 through rsd and it isn't picking up the sim too.
the sim works fine on my mb886!
help? how can i disable sim lock? do i need to flash modem of some other version?
btw i am NOT using a US GSM SIM. Which don't work. I am using an international sim which worked fine before flashing.

Someone else will have to chime in as I honestly have no clue. My phone is still locked and a Verizon US phone, so what you are dealing with (aside from the actual act of flashing) is beyond my knowledge.
okay, got it working with a XT905 telstra rom. did a factory wipe everytime i flashed a new rom through rsd and deleted the var getvar oem parts from the xml file. all roms flashed fine. XT905 Telstra unlocked the SIM

Didn't find the similar question here. hope anyone can help to answer.
the bootloader is unlocked and system is jb 4.1.2. I want to update to kitkat and keep unlocked BL.
I have downloaded the rom VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
is rsd flash ok, or is there a fastboot way to update anything like system, radio, recovery except BL to kitkat?

Update everything. Once unlocked, your bootloader can't be locked, so you are safe. I recommand you not to try to flash only some parts. It should cause hard brick (something similar happened to me).

Just have RSDed my phone without problem, I'm in Kitkat now! Thanks a lot!
In my view:
I have noticed a few of you are reverting to stock and getting hard brick , I believe this cannot be fixed this is after either rooting or after installing stock . This will only happen over ota as it affects ur system partition and modem . Pls do not update on stock ROMs unless you are sure of the software number matching new software , even a carrier software with a letter difference can destroy your phone. Therefore , either don't unlock your phone or don't update via OTA
I got hardbricked device when i was updating an security patch in stock rom, unlocked bootloader...
Any fixes or solution? Blank flash or QFIL files?

If you can still get into fastboot, try flashing TWRP and some custom ROM.
If not, your device is bricked beyond repair.
