How to swap to disk #2 on the fpse ps1 emulator?... - Xperia Play General

Anyone know with the fpse ps1 emulator if you can somehow swap and use the 2nd disk when the first game disk 1 is done?
Nevermind I think I found the answer... Just eject the game from within fpse options menu and load the other disk/rom.

thanks yourself

I'll have to remember that, I ended up corrupting my FFIX save file when I loaded it on disk 2

wow thanks!!
anyone wanna help me out on this what am i doing wrong?
With PocketSNES, I think you have to place your games in the My Documents folder in your main memory or in a first level folder on your storage card. I hope that helps.

Disk Drive use?

Does anyone know of a program to show when the disk drive is being used?
I would like to optimize battery use by minimizing disk access.
For example, I have TCPMP installed on the disk drive. When I watch a movie, is the program transferred ENTIRELY to solid-state memory or does the X7500 have to access the disk continuously to run the program?
I have the movie installed on the SD card to avoid disk drive use, but I cannot tell if that eliminates all disk drive use once TCPMP has started.

Click to collapse
I would have thought if its installed to the MD (Micro Drive) then when accessed, it will be in constant use for as long as you are using that app, but I can't be sure, as your vid is on the SD card. LoL most of us do it the other way around.
In any event, No, sorry, don't know of an app that shows its usage in this way.
i would put the movie on the MD so its only running when u r watching it
It's hard for me to believe that any half-decent engineer would design a battey operated device to run a program off a disk drive. Here is what I found:
Without TCPMP runnig:
Storage.................Program
Total 144.04..........Total 110.94
In use 69.27..........In use 48.05
FREE 74.77............FREE 62.89
With TCPMP running:
Storage................Program
Total 144.04.........Total 110.94
In use 69.27........In use 71.84
FREE 74.77...........FREE 39.10
This means that "in use" PROGRAM memory is increased by about 22MB when TCPMP is loaded, which I HOPE means that the program is running in Solid-state memory, not from the disk drive. HOWEVER, it could also mean that the movie has been transferred from the storage card in slices. This would make no sense from a design aspect but it could happen.
Any ideas?
Does anyone think that HTC would be willing to share the design detail of disk usage?

Ps1 emulator

I'm not looking for where to download anything and I know talking about them is risky but has anybody used one for the n10? I have the one on the market fpse.
My only question is how do multiple disks work also how well does it run? Any suggestions are helpful. Again I'm not asking where to download the games or any config files etc just performance and how multi disk works on here ie ffvii
Thanks

You can use FPse or epsxe off the market I have FPse and haven't had an issue with it yet on the N10.
Multiple discs are just separate images store them in the same folder and when it prompts you in the game you just select "Change Disk" in the settings under Quick Save and select the image of the next disk.
Saving games using the games way of saving and disc changes are simple, when it asks for next disc just press the back button to open menu > change disc to the one you need. Simple as that. Performance is awesome I get max fps on every game I play, my only suggestion is invest in a USB OTG cable and ps3 controller as the emulator controls are hard with some games

Now does it continue to use your saved game then?

As long as you make an in game save file yes, it doesn't if you use the quick save function

If you have multiple devices then you should sign up for a free Dropbox account too and buy Dropsync. Then you can sync your save files between all devices I do that with my GBA emulator and kindle books.

auto file sync?

I apologize for the thread title but lately I've been using epsxe to play some ps1 games and I saw that there was a epsxe app so I tried it out loved it. So I was wondering if there was something I could do to always have the save folder or save state updated that way I could play on my pc or my phone and the save always be up to date, With out having to plug into my PC and drag and drop the save. Would drop box do this and overwrite the old save?

How to install ouya version of AVP Evolution

This is one of my favorite games, but its not updated for ouya everywhere yet.
Make sure you have a usb drive or usb stick in your ouya. Install Avp through ouya store, select install to usb and watch the progress bar. When it says installing use the ouya file browser to locate mnt usb drive. You should see the AVP apk. Now make a folder named avp and copy the avp apk to the avp folder. Eject the usb drive and remove it.
Now connect your usb drive to your mojo. Use a file browser to locate the Avp folder with the AvP apk in it. You will notice that the install apk the ouya created has been removed, which is why we made a copy. Now run the AVP apk install. Avp Evolution should now run from the ouya everywhere or from your normal android desktop.
Key note: You must switch your MOJO controller mode to pc mode before you launch the game, other wise the controls will not work properly. The trigger buttons are the same as ouya's layout, the a,b,x,y are set a little different, but play just fine.
For some reason when you go to the graphics settings it still will only let you pick medium or it gives the only tegra 4 warning. Despite this the game maybe running in tegra 4 mode anyway, because the graphics look way better than on ouya and the game runs much smoother.
I have found that coping one apk install file over to the MOJO is much easier than coping all the install files over.
Hope this helps someone, fingers-crossed.
