BUMP. so how do you install this? im on Overcome 4.0.0 firmware 2.3.3 Was wondering if it's ok to flash from overcome to Cyanogen ICS
Check the development section. There are a few ICS ROMs now. Read the threads.
1) If you are on EXT4 go here
w w w . h u m b e r o s .com.br/p/android-ics.html
2) download the rom
3) download the kernel (only if your GTAB is different from P1000L)
3.1)If GTAB is different replace p1000l kernel inside the ROM with kernel inside the .zip (unzip kernel and then put zimage into Rom.zip)
4) put the ROM in the internal SD GTAB
5)reboot into recovery and
6) install the ROM
If you brick go to Overcome site ...

They mean that the CM9-based ROM is Android 4.0, or ICS. Honeycomb (3.x) is yesterday's news and never was viable for the 7" Tab at any rate.

FYI CM9 is ICS not Honeycomb and yes HumberOS kernel + CM9 by THE4M is perfect combination, I'm already flashing and update my GTab P1000 to latest CM9-SGT7-TE4M-RC0.20120202+latest kernel P1000-CM9-HumberOS-Kernel-20120130 by HumberOS and work perfect with minor bug
you can chek my video screen capture on youtube, sorry i cant post here coz i'm a new member, just search it on youtube with keyword "ICS 4.0.3 CM9-SGT7-TE4M-RC0.20120202 Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000"
care to share the minor bugs that you encountered?

Can you provide a link?
I am at Froyo with my GT-P1000L and cant stand the contant bugs, crashs and limitations that the carrier put on my tab.
If I intall Humberos it will become an unbranded tab? Will I be able to change the splash screen?
Google voice works?
this is the link for CM9-ics Humberos:
http://www.humberos.com.br/p/android-ics.html
but first you need to read this:
http://www.teamovercome.net/p1000/?page_id=17
it gives you a good idea about modding your tab.
looks really good. But their is no HoneyComb rom for the samsung tab

Features:
This is basically JVR based Apex 9.0 minus home haptic minus deodexing minus lockscreen options minus overscroll glow.
If you want all these features Apex 9.0 is your stop.
This is not an Apex release. 9.0 is the official version out
Reason for keeping it ODEXED:
In layman terms deodexing on JVQ+ roms seem to break browser.
In theory deodexing might be breaking some other functions too but browser is most noticable.
Once this process is fixed we will start getting wonderful ROMs with fully working browser and what not.
Since this is odexed rom MODs are much harder to implement. However it seems to be noticably smoother.
Whats ODEXED? Framework & Browser

I have not found any benefits yet but I also have not found any major problems. I am using the Darky R kernel and it is smooth.
I had to reboot for the phone to allow TiBu to root but that is it. Install all apps with no problems.
Not sure how much messing I will do with it since it looks like not much will be done on this ROM for a while... and I do not use the alarm clock

Hi Guys,
Well i thnk there's a Need of this thread to the Users Like me Who Prefer Using STOCK ROM instead of Custom Ones,
But Stock ROMs are kinda Boring as they Dont Look Nice, Specially Samsung ROMS (Dont Count Latest Devices)

There are Many Ports and Mods Which Can Make Your Beast a Monster But they are Messed Everywhere on XDA So i am Making this Thread so Users Can Easily Find Them.

I think the cam only works with kernel 3.x.
I'm so tired that this wonderful tablet takes so long for a stable and fast ROM with a working camera and without bloatware. my low price Motorola Defy now is @JB (moto only released froyo and gingerbread updates). Unbelievable.
Yep I was thinking once sammy release their updates the unofficial roms would all have working cameras and all... But obviously it's not that simple.
Samsung didn't make it easy it seems...
I pressed the thanks button anyway but this rom is a no go for me, i need the cams.
why start another useless thread..
I'm sure he can get the camera working and build a real ASOP when 3.1 kernel sources are released...
Why a ROM re-release? Is a re-release necessary?

gapps are not included flash the jb gapps package
full wipe recomended but you might get away with just wiping cache/dalvik
the kernel included is mostly just the cm9 kernel modified to build inline with the newer toolchain in cm10 source is here:https://github.com/randomblame/android_kernel_acer_t20-common/commits/2.6.39
supports overclocks up to 1.4ghz for now
ezterry's last kernel was tested to work also

haha nice I knew it was only a matter of time till you made your way back to the iconia community, good to see that progress is still being made on XDa with jellybean, going to flash this in a bit and will report back with any issues.
if you need any help with testing/debugging before your releases let me know, as I dont need my tablet to be functional for my day to day activites

I'm experiencing the same problem as well, both the camera and video recording from the front cam is inverted, besides that all seems to be working that ive tested so far, I can confirm that hardware rotation switch does work on version 2 as well
