I'm looking at picking up an hd2 as a backup phone. Is Leo hd2 the same as desire hd2?

The specs are the same except for the 4.3" 65k colours on the hd2 - Otherwise, yes
OK cool. So this wou-d be the same forum for both devices right? And what sit-down indicated on the phone which one it is desire or Leo?

Do you mean the desire HD? Not desire hd2? The desire HD has similar specs but they are far different in the fact that the desire HD can't run any rooms the hd2 can, and vice versa. That means no wp7 or WinMo 6.5 on it.

You can't get win7 on the DHD.

LOOKS JUST LIKE THE DESIRE HD BUILD

so? what is the idea here?
AT&T's HTC Inspire IS a Desire HD.
That's why the ROM looks just like a Desire HD.
The only thing I can see this ROM offering that the current HD builds do not is AT&T's bloatware.
Not worth porting IMO...
I was thinking this build may work better than the desire HD build ported on the HD2 memory card. Sent from my HTC Desire HD2 using XDA App
I think the only difference is that it supports HSPA+ and the Desire HD doesn't.
I had this theme on my desire using descktop visulizer just wondered if any1, has made dhd size images for use with this

Has anyone put out a rom or theme like the one that's running on the HD2? I've bought the WM7 launcher that's out and I like it but really wanted a setup like the HD2 is.

There's none that I can think of. It's probably possible to port WM6.5 but there's just no demand for it, and there would be no dev who would take the time to do it.
You're actually the first time I've seen that prefers WM6.5 over Android.
HTC Glacier running MIUI
Lol,its really just the setup of it on the HD2 that I like. I don't really like Windows Mobile as a platform or I'd just try and find a used HD2..lol

What I mean is the UI from the HD2,the way the home screens are set up and stuff. HTC Sense is very similar but not exactly.

Hmmmm well Android is very powerful when it comes to customizations. You can achieve that HD2 look using Desktop Visualizer. It's an app on the market.
Good luck.
Curiosity has gotten the best of me, can this be done? Id like to try it if possible.

Anyone?

No wp7 ports = no wp7. i would want to try the true wp7 too.
Simply saying, No Not possible.
WP7 has stringent rules and has different architecture. the only phone to get wp7 is HD2
(which btw was a windows phone)
Not possible.. Ours is a linux-based phone hence different architecture. Also, WP7 is not open source so that limits the porting possibilities anyway.
It's debateable why you would want wp7 as I'm fairly sure android caters for a lot of what can be synced or messed with on your pc,even remotely which is fun lol
