I have this phone and the Nexus one. I can't tell you for sure what real world use gets you, but here's what I found today.
I had a class to go to. I took my MT3GS with me to the class. I have the HTC Flip Clock, as well as twitter, my texts, GPS on and minimal use during the breaks, and Silent Time Pro keeping it silent. I got home and my phone was at 96%.
My Nexus was left at the house. It has Beautiful Widgets updating the weather every hour. It has no facebook, no twitter, nothing that will sync other than my email. GPS and WiFi were off, as was the display. The only thing running on the phone besides beautiful widgets was Silent Time Pro. When I got home, I checked my N1, and it had fallen to 69% with absolutely no usage while I was gone.
Like I said, I dunno what real world use would get you on the MT3GS, but it seems far superior to the N1 at this point. All things considered, I think the N1 even with the faster processor should have fared better, as it wasn't used and basically nothing was on, as opposed to the MT3GS having GPS, a few things syncing, a few texts, and more programs running in the background.
This (to me) either means that A) The MT3GS manages power better OR B) Beautiful Widgets takes up far to much processor and battery power. Maybe I'll test it on my MT3GS later this week when I have some time off and see.
Anyway, there's my opinion. Take it for what you will.
I'm running the HTC flip clock, a few toggle widgets, the FeedR widget, Taskiller widget, and a calendar widget, and from fully charged to the end of my work day (few songs, few youtube vids, some texting, browsing facebook, etc etc) by battery is at about 25 percent.
I hate to say it, but my old Motorola Cliq would play Pandora through my entire work shift and still leave me with as much or more battery life than the slide does.
Honestly, not impressed with battery life so far.
My battery life has been ok, not great, some facebook, some twitter, a few hundred texts. some interwebbing. I can get around 10-12 hours from a charge it seems. which in my opinion is crap lol. i had a rooted cliq before this that was running only the basics in the background(killed all the bloatware and extra crap), i could get almost 2 days outta that thing.
I thinks once we get root and kill all the bloat and stuff running in the background, battery life will go through the roof. A vanilla 2.1 or 2.2 will prolly do wonders for battery life.
just my 2 cents

I almost feel like raising my hand and calling bs on 2 days with the cliq'r but i dont know you.
the cliq i used would get about 10 hours with use and 19 or so without use.
my g1 would get about 9 - 18
the mytouch 10 - 18
the old garbage samsung flip and sony flip phones 2 - 3 days.
this slide im averaging 10 - 12 with heavy use and 17 - 19 without much use.
keep in mind only had it for 2 - 3 days since release date but i did drain the battery and recharge it a few times the first day to break it in.
so far id say its about average on battery life.
i charge overnight
then either while driving, or working
then i connect to pc at home
with a full battery in the morning
and a slight top off mid day i never run out of battery life.
Hehe with my cliq I only had only the essentials running(there's a few custom roms out). So it went for almost 2 days. You can get the roms off modmymoto forums if you wanna check em out. The key to the cliq is killing motoblur =). Pm me if you want info shadow
I'm happy with battery life. First day I played with a lot, browsed a bunch and installed many apps and got around 12 hours(most I'd ever get from G1). Today I'm going on almost 24, took it off the charger at 4am after letting it fully charge, didnt start using it till around 10am and at 10am the battery still read 100% which I thought was wrong. Right now its at 17% (still havent gotten the 15% warning) at 1:30am, I'm sure it'll make it till 4. Sent around 50 text today, installed around two apps, and didnt do much voice talking or browsing but I did at least a good 30 mins worth from both. I periodically kill all with advanced task manager (except sense).

Amen. I carry a 3 in. USB to Micro USB cord that charges me at home, in my car and at work.
Those that are disapponted by the battery life are being unrealistic with their expectations. Power is too easy to come by to waste time *****ing about it. Makes you look too lazy or good to plug it in.

I purchased mine yesterday, and it sat on the charger overnight, and read a full charge in the morning.
6 hours 42 minutes later, it gave me a "battery life is at 26%" warning. WiFi, bluetooth and GPS were all off (all day)
I have it setup to check my email and facebook, but I had my Kaiser doing that and more for 2 days at a time with a smaller battery...
Usage-
55% Display (was set to auto)
32% Voice calls (20m 21s)
9% cell standby (6h 44m 59s)
4% Phone Idle (5h 10m 4s)
This seems absurd! If tomorrow doesn't do better, I'm taking it back.

.Realistic ... I never expect an electrical device that CONSTINTLY draws power to have a great battery, I dont race my car all day or let it idle in my driveway and wonder why theres no gas in the tank. a battery holds a resorce that regardless if yo like it or not .. will deplete over time. Advanced task killer is a great tool to get rid of th7e programs rnning in th7e back grond. to save batt life.
.Sorry for any mispellings, my laptops keyboard is taking a crap on me after it got rained on last night.

I don't think my expectations were high. Most people outside our community think "only a day" is bad battery life. I expected to be able to make it through 1 day without going dead. Being 3/4 drained after only ~20 minutes of talk time is absurd, especially since I didn't use the web or IM, etc. Just POP3 email every 30 minutes, and I uploaded 4 or 5 photos to facebook.
No Wifi, bluetooth, or GPS...
I just wanted to come back and reply now that I've had a couple days to play with the phone. I've been using it for about 16 hours straight now, quite a few texts, 5-6 short phone calls, and maybe 20 minutes of 3G usage, I'm at 66%. I haven't had this phone on the charger at all.
On the other hand, my Nexus, which has been on the charger all except maybe 2 hours in that same amount of time is already at 88%.
I think we have a clear winner in the battery life category. At least from my tests.
I am certain now that I have a defective phone.
I killed all running tasks, manually logged out of all IM clinents, etc, and then took it off the charger. I've made 12 minutes of calls today, it's only been unplugged for 4 1/2 hours and it's at ~%60 battery life.
12 minutes? Thats got to be a defect.
But, they are apparently out of stock... I might end up with a Touch Pro 2 or a HD2 after all...
Definitely not right .. I'm at 85 percent since 9am (7pm now), light use again though but its stand-by time is impeccable.. try and get another one, I can tell you the HD2 battery life is much, much worse, my father got it at the same time I got the slide and he's charging 2x a day. Mind you this guy would go the entire day with bluetooth, wifi, and gps on his G1. Oh and the usability of windows, well its just blah.. not trying to be biased at all. I have my brightness at 30 percent, syncng gmail only, and for widgets I have the curvefish battery widget, pure calander widget, power widget, and audiomanger. No bluetooth, gps or wifi on.
Have you tried going into the about phone in settings, and seeing whats draining the battery (click battery use)? See what cell standby is. Are you using 3g? May I suggest downloading anycut > new shortcut, activity, phone info. From there, open the short cut and you can adjust if you want 3g only (wcdma) or edge (gsm) only. Try setting it at one of the only settings, your phone might be dropping and picking up signal.
First post here, Hello World!
I have had mind for almost a week now. At first I was averaging about 1/2 day on a full charge. This was with Gmail syncing, no WIFI/GPS/BT on. Mild surfing, about a dozen SMS and 15 minutes of talk time.
I installed Advanced Task Killer and set it to shut off my apps on screen close. I am now able to go 17 hours ( a full day for me ) and I still have 15% left. This was with BT on for about 30 minutes of talk time, WIFI on for about 1 hour at the office, GPS on for clock/weather updates every 3 hours.
Overall, I am happy with the battery life on this device now. I am wondering if it took a while for the battery to calibrate and ATK helping with running apps.
I love this phone!

Sounds about like me. I don't use my phone to call much (go figure) but I listened to 15 min. of music, logged onto facebook for 10 minutes (3g) and sent probably 15 texts, and I was at about 65% in the 5 hours I had it unplugged.

Here's a question, Did you all plug it in and let it charge to full when you got it BEFORE using it?
Sure did. Ive made that mistake before, but I do that with all phones now, even though with a lithium battery, it shouldn't make that much difference.

Yea, I guess im just superstitious but I always do that with a new device. Have you tried recalibrating the battery? Charge to full, leave plugged in for like an hour after it says it's fully charged, wipe battery status, reboot, use normally? (if you can wipe battery status int he menu's without root) I'm picking my MYT3G slide up this weekend so I don't know if it can be done or not yet.
i think the battery life is great, i take the phone off of the charger around 9am. while im at work from 11aM-7pM i check my updates every hr or so. from 2-330 i listen to music also on my way home(7-8) and when i finally get back home round 8ish my battery is at about 58% then around midnight i get the 30% message. around 130-2am its at about 12% so i get 17hrs with medium usage
My battery life isn't too bad. 17+ hours since unplugged of moderate use (but only like 1% left): Display 41% (on Auto), Wi-Fi 25% (worked at home, kept on wifi for data instead of 3G), Voice Calls 22% (35 minutes; 14 calls), Standby 8% and Idle 4%. I think if you're more active in process management, it will help with life. I also just switched Brightness from Auto to a manual setting of about 20%. I un-synced Tweet and Weather and am running very few widgets, but keep GPS on. My K9 Mail syncs on an hourly basis and Gmail with Calendar and Contacts auto-syncs. Overall, MUCH better than G1.
...4 hours of heavy usage (wifi connection and 3g on but idle)
Mid to periodical usage could reach 24h.
6th day of usage....
i think this is mediocre for me. please report your battery performance to compare.
Any tips to improve this?
I can get around 8-10 hours with heavy usage... constant music, etc.. and about 2-3 days with light-medium usage.

Hmm so i guess there is a problem with my device.
Great!, and how am i supposed to explain this to the service?
I get about 12 to 15 hours of heavy usage via web, text, and email. If i watch video it's less but I am pretty happy with the battery thus far.

I can only get around 7 hours of use.
I have a problem that if i even dont use it, the battery still drain. I got it full charged and theb unplug it. About 8 hours later, it went down to 50%.
Is there any problem with my device?

same here. i don't know how you guys are getting so much better battery life. i can barely last a day and i don't use it all that much. maybe 2-3 hrs of surfing the web over wifi (not even 3g). i even used setcpu to underclock to 200Mhz when screen is off.
Maybe it has something to do with the very first charge.
When i unboxed the battery was fully charged so i drained it and had it charged for 8 hours. maybe it needed to be charged prior first usage.

Is that 12-15 hours with the screen on? Because that's much more than I'm seeing.
I've done a few measurements just to get an idea of the battery life. They are just extrapolations based on a few hours of runtime for each so they are by no means exact, but my impression is that they give a decent view of real values nonetheless. The battery percentage indicator does not seem to be terribly non-linear.
Video playing (SD quality) with full brightness: 5.5 hours
Video playing (SD quality) with lowest brightness: 9.5 hours
Idle at homescreen with full brightness: 6 hours
Idle at homescreen with half brightness: 9 hours
Idle at homescreen with lowest brightness: 12 hours
Music playing in headphones (screen off): 90 hours
Can't believe how lazy reviewers seem to be, I haven't read a single one where they have properly measured battery life for things like playing movies or reading an ebook. It's all just subjective feelings (which are obviously very unreliable).
All in all I am pretty pleased with the battery life (but I've just had it for a few days). I especially like the fact that it's basically a normal Android phone just with a giant screen and battery. This obviously means that standby and music playing times are going to be excellent.
Edit: Those of you who think you're seeing bad battery life, what does the battery use thingy in settings say? Or is that not a good tool?
I read a post somewhere where the OP was getting horrible battery life and found out that the Gallery app was draining the battery.
The OP in that thread said even exiting the app did not kill it, and it kept draining the battery.
Perhaps you can look into this more. I never use the gallery app so maybe why this is why i get decent battery life?
Edit to add:
Here is the thread

If it's this post you're referring to it's by me . The Gallery application shows up under battery use though, so I'm pretty sure that's not it.
Are you sure it's really as much as 12-15 hours with the screen always on? If it were 9-10 hours with brightness at half it would around what I'm seeing I guess, but 12-15 is quite a lot more. Not that I'm disappointed, but if better is possible better is what I want

No not 12-15 hours with the screen always on.... I get 12-15 total... Screen on for usage, off for a while, back on to email and SMS ect...
Ah ok, then there's no discrepancy .
I got 10 hours from full to complete off. I was using it to watch streaming movies on 3g
for a couple of hours and then watch a movie off of the sd card and an episode of supernatural.
After that its just web and ebook reading. Its pretty good. Almost the same as my ipad.
I got a total of around 14 hrs plus with wifi and edge on, screen brightness at 20%, around 7 hrs of standby while i was asleep at night, with 4 hrs of heavy surfing, youtube etc. . . No calls though, only some sms and always on IM with nimbuzz logged in.
What i am seeing is with heavy usage i.e. Multiple apps running, wifi and edge on, i get anywhere between 5-7 hrs of battery life which i think is fair enough for a device this size which am constantly fiddling with.

Can someone please post,
Using the supplied mains charger, how long does it take to fully re-charge a drained Galaxy Tab?
As it is a large battery what sort of charging times to expect?
(This is while NOT using the device).

I've not used mine for that long, but the Battery Left app(which I found to be quite accurate on my N1) shows that for MY usage, I'll get about 25hrs.
I've got the auto dim turned off, and brightness at max. I mainly use mine for checking emails, txting, and a few games.
Nothing heavy.
I'd recomend the Battery Left app to you guys looking to find out your battery life. You DO have to "train" it though, which requires a 100%-0% run for you.
Guys,
does.anyone know, do we need to cycle the battery to give it the best performance?
Example, charge up the unit, then drain it completely and recharge it again? Like in the old days.
mine hasnt gone down much. I have it unplugged at 6am and at 4pm i still have about 75-80% batt left.
This is with about approx. 2 hrs of talk and 30mins of data usage and voice calls paired to my BT headset. My screen brightness is set to 40%

I once got up to 20 hours of moderate usage. But with heavy usage I get about 12 hours or more. I lose about 7% when watching an episode using flash....kinda sucks but I watch a lot of anime online. But I use this as my main phone too. Its replaced my nexus completely. though it was nice with my nexus cuz I could swap batteries. This is how I condition my battery. I let it get to about 2-5% then I recharge it. I don't let it get to zero cuz I heard you can damage the cell. sometimes I charge it to about 20% then I unplug it and drain it to 5% then back up to full. I just kinda switch it up. At first I was getting horrible battery life but ever since I started conditioning it this way I get great results.

I have owned my SGS for around 9 months now, and have been downloading roms and tweaks from xdadevs for around 8 months for my SGS. There have been countless times where I have seen claims of batter life extending to 2-3 days, I have even seen claims of 4/5 days!
These claims are ridiculous, particularly if you utilise you smart phone as a SMART PHONE, and these claims are also hugely misleading to newbies. When I first started using XDA and read about 2-3 days battery life I was worried about my phone or battery being faulty. After using the phone for a few weeks and flashing countless roms I realised that around 7 to 10% is NORMAL if you utilise your smart phone for what it is.
The people who do get 2-3 days battery life why do you own a £300 phone and use it like a £10 nokia 1100?
A smart phone has so many features for a reason - they are to be used.
My day to day use on Juwe's Smart Edition v4.3.1 XWJVH Based On Official 2.3.3*

push email for three email accounts
live wall paper
a couple of widgets which download data every 3 hours
some gaming
approx 30-50 texts a day
whatsapp
liveprofile
1-2 hours music
automatic brightness
This sort of use will give me 10-12 hours battery life.
Can anyone who do claim heavy use and get 2-3 days battery life detail their use and set-up to justify claims of heavy use and make it clear to newbies what REALLY to expect from their smart phone.
Remember, this phone has an array of brilliant feature which have been made to be utilised.

I have pretty much the same usage but I only switch to 3g when I need it (and not using live wallpaper because i find it distracting). 1.5-2 days battery easy.
48 hours of battery for me
Juwe's 4.3.1 based on JVH
3g/h on 24/7
wifi, gps, auto rotate on 24/7
2 hours of calls at least a day
30 to 50 sms daily
no widgets, i prefer a slick apearance
no live wallpaper
4 accounts with push from 9am to 6pm auto check every 15 minutes the rest of the time
1 hour of FM radio everyday
at least 30 minutes gametime everyday if not more
lots of internet usage
twitter : sync's every 1o minutes
facebook : sync's every 4 hours
sms/call log backup every 6 hours
watchdog software running 24/7
sync to dropbox of apps/sms/calllog/camera pictures every 12 hours
Nice post...
In total agreeance with you. I am also a user of the phone and find it silly to have to turn stuff off or go into airplane mode at night, etc. I want to use my phone and not make it an exercise in restraint.
I've also noticed that, for my use, the battery life is pretty consistent. I get about 2 days with everything on, and fairly light use. There is no 'magic' tweak that will double it and stuff like calibrating and erasing battery stats make little difference. What makes the difference is how you use it... Overclocking, bright screens, games... the more you use the less battery life you have. Use the phone, that's what it's for.
Half a day with that much use is OK... for the people who don't want to risk hooking to a charger often or on the move, I suggest buying a rechargeable portable battery pack which when plugged into the phone can recharge without AC mains; so you have a portable charger always around to fill up the phone juice whenever needed.
+1 - I've checked a lot of roms and kernels. Max I had - around 16 hours. But usually it's around 11-12 hours.

Oh, come on, how difficult is for people to understand this?. You have a device with a 1 GHz CPU, a 4" AMOLED screen, 3G, Wifi, bluetooth radios.. Everything uses power, the more things you use, the more power it takes.
Of course if you have the screen off, WiFi off, 3G data off, bluetooth off, no data sync, not make phone calls... the phone can last one week on standby.
If you're USING the phone, the standard battery will drop 20% every hour or so. I've seen the battery gone down to 10% in a few hours. Battery hogs are in approximate order:
- Screen (even on low brightness)
- 3G data traffic
- Wifi traffic (wifi ON but no traffic has low impact)
- GPS on
- GPU (3D games)
- Voice traffic (screen is off during calls, does not take much power)
Smart using the smartphone
3-4 days for me.
And no, I'm not using it as a Nokia 1100.
Have wifi turned on all the time so it automatically connects to home & work wifi when in range. I check the news every morning for about 10-15min @home when drinking my cafe and have a smoke before leave to work. Sync is ON, k-9 mail checking emails, GO Weather and other apps using data from time to time.
Couple of calls everyday, 5-10min total (I don't say stories on the phone).
I don't listen music from the phone (if I wanna do that I'll use the mp3 player which is built for that and can run 6-7h with a single AAA accu. Also I have a car radio and winamp on the work computer so why use the phone for such?)
Yes, it's a smartphone and I use it as a smartphone. Wonder if some users are as smart as their phone to use it properly.
as mentioned a few times before, for what the phone is capable of, amoled screen, wifi, gps, 3d gaming, mp3 player and so on. you can expect the battery to drain quick.
battery life dont bother me, ive always got a place to charge if needed, and i do abuse my phone, so its expected,
the makers are trying to cram all these goodies into a small compact phone, leaving not much room for a huge battery to power it all.
there are replacement batteries on ebay 3000Mah really big, and they come with the SGS back case to fit it, it doesnt look too bad really. and if battery is a big issue for you, invest in one. they are not too expensive and will give you juice when its really needed.
probably would work out cheaper than paying for apps to monitor and improve battery life....
if the SGS came with a battery the size of your fist, you would be complaining at that too.... even if it lasted a month on 1 charge lol
EDIT: 3500mah battery - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3500MAH-EXTRE...ltDomain_3&hash=item2eb38b347a#ht_2326wt_1139
Thanks
How is the battery life of your Focus S? I tend to do a lot of updating and some streaming, I am not getting more than 10 hours. Very low, but I as I said, I update a lot of apps and feeds, so I assume if I lay off it will be better. How is your battery life?
yesterday was the first full day i had with it, and i took it off the charger around 11am and when i got back at 330am, it still had about 30% left.
and it was a moderate to high moderate day of usage for me (listened to podcasts in the car for about 2 hours total, music at work for about 2 hours, updated posts, read facebook/twitter/websites, played some games.
i also have okay to poor reception at work, so that probably didn't help battery issues when i moved into areas with poor reception.
so in conclusion, i'm quite happy with how well it's holding up so far, as good as the original focus i had, if not even better.
Hmm right now with pretty high use, I have 10% left and thats because it went into battery saver mode like 1.5 hours ago. I took it off the charger at 7AM, it's 4:47PM now.
Seems to be the same as the Focus. Need to have several recharging cycles before a determination can be made as to actual "life".
I haven't paid attention to battery life much yet but today I listened to music for an hour, used my phone for 4 hours straight (mostly browsing internet with WiFi off), and then let my phone sit for an hour and it was down to 10%. Medium brightness.
Anyone have a change to try it on the WP Benchmark battery test?
Focus S battery
I was in Austin TX yesterday. Unplugged my phone at 6am, but was in meetings most of the day. By 5pm I was down to 30% battery. i.e., very little usage.
I do sync my ME mail account every 30mins (I get about 50 emails a day in this account) and my Exchange account is set to push (I get up to 200 emails a day on that account). I am also signed in to Facebook, Linkedin, whattsapp and Twitter, but did not use them much (ie. a dozen messages max). I have also set my "run in background" option to off for all apps.
Today in Portland OR. Unplugged at 6am made a couple of calls for a total of about 90 minutes and I am at <50% by 11am....
I agree it needs a few more days of recharge cycles, but it is not looking very good to me..
Love the phone though.
Nick
This is the 3rd day in a row where I come home with a dead phone. I take it off the charger at 8AM go to work, I sync my Facebook and my Twitter, I have a weather app running, I have two twitter apps (testing which I like better) and I listen to maybe an 1.5 hours of podcast total. At 5:30 my phone is dead. I need to do further tests to see if its something I am doing.

Try this:
- Brightness to low
- Disable all background apps (launch'em when you really need'em)
And see the difference (was quite big for me, for Focus).
Well for now I turned off all my background apps, when I unplug my phone off the charger at 8AM it said I have a day and 9 hours left, after an 40 mins of music and some texting its down to 23 hours, so while that isn't bad, a drop off of 10 hours in less than 2 hours is odd.
I'll try to play with it a bit more and see what is causing the drastic drop.

It's not odd. The 1day 9h is the standard assumption on battery time by the OS. In reality, battery time can be more (eg days on standby) or less (eg 8-9h video playback). If you start using the phone, the OS will update it's prediction on battery time, hence the drop you noticed.
3 Hours since last full charge, and now I have 19 hours left at 74%. I have listened to some music, downloaded two apps and that's about it. Some text messages I guess.
I'm pretty happy with my battery life, what is bother me is the sound quality coming out of the headphone jack. It sounds way too flat and too low in volume, I compared it with the my iPhone 4 and Galaxy S2 and it is no competition? Anyone else noticed this? By the way this is the first WP7 phone I get, and I love WP7. This will be the platform I will stay on
Just ran the battery benchmark. Focus S ran for 4:30 versus 3:37 for the Focus.

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Note5 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I usually get around 3.5-4 hours of screen on time before the phone needs a power-up.
So today is one of my heavy usage days. This is how it goes pretty much. Wake up around 6 am get, get on my phone, check notifications, hop on a few social games, get on social media, watch videos from social media, check my favorite website, get on some games, check some more websites, battery gets a little low so I charge up, and while it's charging I get my day started.
That's heavy usage for me and thats what I did all day today so far. Here's some screenshots just prior to me writing this post, tell me what you think.
Now some might think it's bad, but I've been on my phone pretty much non stop.
i'm getting 30-40 min more than the S6 edge ussually 4 hours screen on time, auto brightness, mobile data, wifi, 3 gmail sync, Facebook and messenger...I probably wouldn't get this phone if it wasn't for the quick charge ability.
I am very happy with battery life. I don't game and I don't watch tons of YouTube and I'm connected to a WiFi network most of the day. But this is the best in terms of battery life of any phone i have ever had, including the one plus one. Typically get 8 to 10 hours screen on time but I've gotten as high as 12 before. Auto brightness, location disabled most of the time. Stock, 200+ apps disabled with package disabler pro.

Averaging 5-7 hours on a busy day, everything is turned on except for a few bloat apps which are disabled.
I dont understand how you use you phone for 12 hours in a day..Do you have a job? I will get up at 7am and talk maybe for an hour on my phone and have 3 hrs max screen on time before I end my day at 10 pm with 45% battery left..more or less.
I'm seeing about 7 hours SOT. Auto brightness, nothing disabled, syncs on.

Its impossible for 12h SOT.. can you share some screenshoot for sot 12h without charging from 100% until 1%.. i dont belive if no screen shoot..
My device is on battery for 4 hours 37 minutes 51 seconds since last charge.
SOT is 58 minutes 36 seconds.
My battery percentage is 74%.
Is this normal or bad ??
I purchased my phone for yesterday and charged it till full. I never charge for continuous 8 hours.
Is this normal or bad ? Shall i charge it for 8 hours ?
Typical days my battery only lasts about 12-13hours before its sub 10%. Some days it's better but typical office days are rather poor battery life from past android and iOS devices with similar use. Attached are my thumbnails. As you can see I am only getting 2 hours of screen on time. It def appears I have an issue with my Moto 360 using excessive battery and I am not sure why as most things are disabled on the watch and the watch battery is usually north of 75% when I goto bed.
Ever since I reset my phone back to factory resettings (rooting caused my phone to slow down), i've been experiencing some great battery life and smoothness(obviously)
6 hours SOT with 7% left. 1 day and 6+ hours of regular usage, nothing too heavy.
YRAJ23- Thats perfectly normal. It should come out to around 4 hours of SoT. You can charge the phone for 8 or more hours because it knows when to stop charging. You cannot overcharge any modern smartphone.
U should get at least 5hrs sot unless playing games and watching YouTube! Disable Samsung and Google bloats like Google+ and use Greenify app from Oasis Feng on play store to hibernate most of your downloaded apps which cause battery drain. Put your brightness in the 40-60% and if possible ideally in the 25% range indoors!
Ive been debating picking up a note 5 now that is avail in Canada in 64gb and silver but reading through this has me reconsidering.
I get better battery life from both my current devices and without being able to swap batteries 4 to 5hrs SOT is not ideal given my lifestyle/ work schedule

Fairly normal 2.5-3.5 hours on weekdays, bc school WiFi drains battery like ****. On weekends typically average 3.5 on 3G/LTE because reception where I live isn't exactly top notch. At home however, 5-6 hours is pretty much the norm, bc my home WiFi rocks.
I normally get 15-16 hours on battery with 4-5 hours of screen on time. i did a video playing a game and timing it. if you want to check it out here from the video you'll see depending on your settings i could get between 4-6 hours of onscreen time with goat sim running.

Exact same here, yet I see these people with 6, 7 even 8 hours of screen time on one charge. How? Are they sitting there with WiFi and the cell radio turned off, just watching clips and doing offline stuff? I just don't understand how they can manage to pull that many hours out of the battery. I struggle to break past 4 hours. But 8? Freaking double? I'm not buying it.
