Problems with superuser in HD2 MDJ Froyo Sense HD 4.6

Superuser dont load, its really weird but all other funtions seem to work well any advice??

I followed instructions of post 3382 of the Froyo Sense HD 4.6 thread and now it works.

Why not just direct him to the thread where the build is released instead of directing him to the Q&A forum. This kind of question is best asked in the ROM thread where you might actually get a good reply.
Using the search function within a thread also helps..

There are a couple new roms in the development section,that,have fixed this for you. Go flash one of their roms to get netflix. Or there is a more complicated post in,the dev,section called workaround for netflix, but I think ppl were getting only,sound with,that so your choice.

i have a problem flashing other roms my data works really slow and i have the correct apn settings, i also tried the tread workaround for netflix but it didnt work.

How does data effect flashing..? Dl it on your laptop and push it to your phone..

Then to answer your own question, no. I'm sure if there was a simple work around EVERYONE and their brother would be posting it. Android Central, BGR, Android and me, and a couple of others.
If you've tried changing the build.prop and it didn't work. Then i wouldn't plan on it.

This makes me happy. There was a time period when it seemed every other phone was receiving leaks except us. All the excitement was going to the Inc2.
I love my Thunderbolt with leaks!!

it only gives 1 of the 2 radio basebands so it stil could have a new 3g radio but i doubt it

I want a radio that was as fast as the 1st radio from 1.12.605.6. I went back to it last night for testing and I was hitting 20 mbps down constantly then I went back to 2.10's radio and couldn't break 5 mbps...

Dang dude- I saw stories &I was like, "this leak is old". But no not so.

[Q] Any devs willing to help?

I'm in the middle of trying to port my FIRST ROM!
I'm very excited but I'm very new as well. I was wondering if any devs were willing to help me once it's complete to see whether I've done it right or still need some help. If you could contact me or below and I'll get back to you with all the info once I'm done!

If anyone is willing to try it out and help guide me on how to fix any problems, I'd gladly appreciate it!!!!

I'm no dev, but I'll give you a couple of things to watch out for.
Low mic - make some calls. Sckboy78 has a low mike fix he uses on his roms that is probably linked in some of his release threads.
Device name - make sure you change the right line over in the build.prop so that it shows HTC Glacier as the device type in settings. That is covered in Mr. Highway's porting guide, but people tend to miss it.

I'm no recognized developer, but I am very good at porting. Are you porting sense or AOSP? PM me with questions or need a tester.

Here's the ROM I ported: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459760
It's CM7/AOSP based as suggested by another member for a beginner. I used the Android Kitchen and used the official and updated CM7 as the base. That's about it...

I can't test as I'm updating my PrimoS, but from what I can tell, you did everything right by what you said. Good luck! Good work too!

make sure you don't miss the line in the build.prop that gives you the correct signal readings. That's the one that irritates me the most, but idk if you did cause I can't flash atm.

It's actually pretty common to my experience. Zips missed it in a couple of his earlier builds. Basically your signal never changes. Like I'd always have either two bars or full bars (depended on the ROM, never understood why they're different) and I'd know for a fact that it's wrong.

i just got a mytouch 4g with 2.3 on it and idk how to root it im a real noob at this it might be my first root i heard from a friend that i have to downgrade it i guess thats what he did but i wanted to ask if i can root it without having to

You're gonna have to downgrade, sorry. Check the stickies in the dev section for a great guide and some help

As with most things that have to do with modifying your device, yes; there is a chance you can brick it. Although, if you read everything thoroughly and follow instructions closely, you should be fine.

Also, even if you follow all the steps straightly, you have a chance (minimal) of getting your phone bricked.
Actually, you can have it bricked even if you do nothing (i mean just normal use without downgrading and rooting it). This is very rare but in two months with my my touch4g I did see it a couple times.
