Hi,
Are there any way to overclock X8?
LG GT540 has almost the same cpu, and it is capeable to run on 800Mhz confortly.
Its only possible by replacing the kernel. To replace kernel bootloader has to be hacked.
There are some devices where overclock module was compiled for standard kernel like moto Droid. But the CPU is different.
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
yes bootloader must be cracked.
Who could it do? Or any1 is planning to do that? Or where we can find what we need to overclock our cpu?
needs to crack the bootloader
Bull****

Haven't we already overclocked the X8's CPU via the doixanh's module?

Root Explorer is NOT a freeware!
Asking for illegal downloads of paid apps is against XDA's rules.
Better read the rules before posting.

Overclock your vibrant phone after rooting it and flashing trigger 2.2?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Did you flash an overclocked kernel?
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
Nope I didn't just root and then put trigger 2.6 that's it nothing else
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
You have to install a kernel that allows OC in order to do so. Even then you may get problems if you have a Vibrant thats picky about its voltages.

Just like mine, i'm runing trigger 2.5 after issues with other ROM's. Now i'm happy and very stable. I wouldn't OC.

Just flash one and take it for a spin. See for yourself. I have Axura with Morfic's kernel and its beautiful!

I was reluctant too, flashed the DOW14 and i'm really glad i did.
If you are OK with loss of Battery life over clocking is OK. For me, having a phone that after 24 hr of moderate use I still have 65% battery left is Awesome !!
Giving that that up just to have a higher Linpack or other high benchmark score ...to me is pointless..........
It will kill you phone if you oc high frequency
Hi everyone! I have 2 questions for you.
1.How can i overclock my Zte Blades's CPU?
2.Is there a risk if I choose to overclock my Zte Blade . I mean, by doing this, can I destroy my phone ?
I'm using CM 7.1 .I have Zte Blade Gen 2.
Thank you!

1. settings -> cyanogenmod settings -> performance.
2. No, worst that can happen is your phone will crash & freeze up if you set the speed too high (depends on your particular phone) so that you need to take the battery out & restart. Do not 'set on boot' until you've tested that speed well & are sure that it'll never crash.
While you're in that performance/cyanogenmod settings menu you may also want to set 'Use 16bit transparency'. That will let the phone use gpu hardware acceleration better for graphics & make the launcher animations smoother.
I saw a lots of videos on yotube with Zte Blade phones overclocked to 710.I tried to overclock mine to 710, but the phone freeze. I think 672 is stable for me.
I'm glad to know that is no risk if i overclock to 672.
Thank you!
The overclocking limit depends from device to device...
Like mine can overclock upto 768 and after that it will crash....

i got 806 and it was stable for the time i used it(abt an hour or 2)
It realy depends on the phone, mine for example can only do like 729 stable on higher clocks it keeps freezing. I dont think high overclocks are verry likely to destroy the phone, but there is always a chance!
Ok,my friend wants to trade phones, ill give him my x8 for this phone.so,i need someone to post some benchmark results with neocore, and quadrant if its not a problem.and here are questions:
1.is there any custom kernels?
2.what is the highest overclock?
3.a development,is there any like great roms, fast updates?
4.what do you think about this trade?
I'd really like someone to post their opinions, answer my questions because this would really clear my mind thanks

Check the development thread you will.get most of the answers there
yes upto 1.4ghz...
and im one of the lucky ones to have one that can go stable @ 1.4 too!
but this phone does have a disadvantage .....
a weak gpu.
this problem is being solved but as of now it can play hd games, but some are a bit slow.
well.....give me some time..... il need to think about trading.......
other than the gpu, i think this phone does great at everything else.....
OC to 1.4ghz is only available in older g3mod kernels. Current g3mod kernels only to 1.2ghz. Fugumod up to 1366. Ultra and alpha 21 i think.

Froyo- 350-750 (depends on the rom
Neocore ~13fps

There are no requirements, you just have to be rooted. Install GingerXperia it has the overclock module built in. Personally I find it alot faster and smoother than GingerDx.
