Is your question regarding about when connecting to a PC, right? It happened to me before. What I did was updated AndroidSDK and USB driver. Now the SD card shows up when connect to my PC.

No I'm trying to access my content on the card through the tablet and no dice... I had no issues prior to upgrading the SD card.

Anyone have any idea what this is, or should I just go call an exorcist?
seems ur phone's sdcard or external sd card is infected.
there are two alternates::
1) scan ur memories with antivirus by connecting it with pc and after that reset ur phone)
or
2)format both ur memories.
Make reset of ur phone ( go to settings/privacy/factory reset)
Hopefuly ur problem ll be gone. Nd next time make sure to ask questions in question answers sub forum

Only if he is good in formatting a SD card Because there is just 'something' corrupt...
Try to back up everything, (maybe trough your phone?)...
If that doesn't work try to do the error check (properties>hardware>scan voor errors)...
If that doesn't work you can format the disk (not quick!), and the problem should be solved
I should also mention that the SGS in question is Bell's i9000m... Maybe the internal SD is about to fail?
that definitely looks like a corrupted SD card
you can try to reformat it, and see how much longer it'll live until it dies completely
Aw damn, I forgot to knock on wood. Internal SD is dead again, second SGS. ):
Hello again!
My brand new Transcend 8 GB microSDHC arrived today and i want to ask you the easiest way to migrate to this SD from the internal 2GB card.
How should i partition the new one?
Do i need a special program like SD Formatter or a linux machine?
thank you in advance with your help!
Nope, put it in and you're away. if you want just copy the contents of old sd card to pc and then put what you want back on new sdcard.

Transcend 8 GB microSDHC Class 10 (on card reader)
Transcend 8 GB microSDHC Class 10 (on Huawei Ideos X5)
why there is a performance drop when i put the SD in the mobile? Android cap or just huawei choosed a crap controller?
for sure its the hardware in the device and the format of the card (fat, ntfs etc.)
the OS has nothing to do with the transfer speed, i think its more of the drivers used by huaweii for the controller
that's a shame!
i should have bought a class 6 instead! same performance, less money!
I bought a 64gb SanDisk ultra xc for my note 3. I formatted it on the phone and it appears to be working fine except it's not storing pics and videos on the card and is storing them on the phones internal memory. Is there a setting to change that?
My other issue is that when I remove the card from my phone and input it into my laptop it is not recognized by laptop. It offers to format which I tried and once it formats it reads it as a 27gb card. I'd like to be able to add music from my laptop to the sd card directly. Is that possible?
Edit: I'm rooted with kingo but running the stock rom.

I have the same card. I did not format on the device. It reads it, but link2sd does not. I am looking for a solution as well.
I'm curious to know if this is card specific. I've never had these issues before with older sd cards.

So after some tinkering I got my card working. I have the same set up as Chillout. So I put the card in my wife's N3 and it read the card properly. So I decided to Oden back the stock firmware and the PIT reparations found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576104. When I was done the card still wouldn't read. So, I decided to flash the stock firmware us in Kies. When it finished, the card read just fine. Next I rooted again with Kingo and all is well. I'm not saying that this is the answer, but I feel that somehow my partitions got fouled up. I have had this type of issues on other devices and found that a factory restore, while it is a bother, seems to work in a pinch for getting a clean slate. See the screen of my card using link2sd.

Hi
Is it possible to fully move installed apps to external SD card on Marshmallow ROM? In the past I was using Directory Bind app to do it and it was working ok but on Marshmallow its not working. Is there any solution to do that? I have read about Adaptive Storage feature being implemented on Marshmallow android but I dont see that option on my phone (under Settings-Storage). Is there a way to turn it on somehow? Or if not is another way to do it? I also heard about creating two partitions (fat and ext) on external SD card and using app like Link2SD but is it confirmed working? Whats the best way to do it?
Looks like you can go into each individual app from Application Manager, then go to Storage, and it gives the option to move the app to the External card
Nothing to do this for all apps that I can see though

Using built-in Application Manager doesnt move the WHOLE app and its files to external SD card. Some files stays in internal memory, usually the heaviest ones in obb folder. Tried to do that before moving some games this way but for example Hearthstone game despite being moved to external SD card stil keeps 800MB in internal memory. I want to move all that data to extSDcard.
well...
any luck of extending internal memory?

This has worked for others here
http://www.modaco.com/news/android/heres-how-to-configure-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632
I read the other threads re: SD card problems but most of them suggest formatting. My DT2 won't even read my installed SD card now and there are important files on it. It's a 64gb sandisk. I've tried an 8gb and a different 64gb card and they read just fine. The broken SD card reads fine in the computer. I was using it as adoptable storage and it was working great. One morning I woke up and it had asked me to insert the SD card or forget it. Before I do anything, I want to know if my videos are at all recoverable. This happened the morning after I took a lot of video and I hadn't had a chance to connect to wifi for long enough to back up the videos. Is there any way to recover my data before I format it or switch to a different card altogether?
Maybe if you insert into pc and use some recovery tool.

Would it restore everything? Currently when I plug it into my PC, I can open it just like any other removable storage and see what's inside. However, most of the folders are empty, including DCIM. I have enabled hidden folders so that's out. I'll try making a direct copy to my new SD card and see if that works out.
Update: tried making a copy of the SD card to my PC. I got this

No, you cannot copy using regular os/apps. Find data recovery tool. There are some specialized for recovering data from flash memories. Just don't write anything on the card before.
