Problem with updating SMSC - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For some reason after I flashing a few roms: CoreDroid 1.2, Beta Cream Glacier 7.1 and The Collective's Absolution **3.6**
Now I cant send SMS.. I can pretty much do everything else...
I did this:
*#*#4636#*#*
-Select Phone Information and scroll down
- enter your SMSC in Hexadecimal PDU and select UPDATE.
My hex PDU is "07916131059000F0" but i get an update error..
When i hit refresh, its the phone number of the Wind Mobiles SMS Center..
anyone here can help?
I tried to put my sim card into my old Nokia 5230 and it also couldnt send SMS..

ok, looks like i got it..
i have to input +16135009000
and now i can send sms...

[Q] Xperia X8 2.1 SMS Center problem

Hi,
I have problems with the Message Center since I update my Xperia X8 to 2.1 it disapear and I can't configure it. After update mobile asks me to get operator information, but I wrongly press the not button and I don't see that message again -.-
There's no visible configuration menu on the mobile now, but I find this dialing sequence to do that:
1. Open your dialler and dial: *#*#4636#*#*.
2. From the menus which appear, select Phone Information.
3. Scroll down to SMSC.
4. Enter the SMS centre number given by your provider in this box.
5. Select Update.
I tried this, but reports me an "update error" :S
My operator center message number is: +34609090909
I don't know what to do, some sugestion to solve my problem?
Try running the setup guide again.
It should appear in your app drawer, with a magic wand for an icon.
Hey a-k-t-w!
I solved my problem changuing my SIM card for another of the same operator and that runs the setup guide, is the same as yours but more ineficient, then your solution is the right one on this case, thank you
That problem i have to....
And i didn't solve it yet. I'm not very good at english, so something there i didn't catch :S
On 1.6 x8 was able to send message.
On 2.1 it was unable to do it.
Now i root my x8 on 2.2.9 FroyoBread 0.25, and still not effect...
Please help me, i will be so greatfull.
EDIT: I done same step just like magnustor and it didn't work on 2.2.9
P.S Sorry on my english, i now it is terrible
anyway thanks
I have the same problem. I guess the answer lies in old SIM cards that those with the sms centre problem have.
I was right about the old SIM cards. I exchanged my old card with new one, keeping my old number of course.

[Q] Problem with SMSC (Service number)

Hi everybody, im from Argentina i bought an unlock Tmobile G1.The problem is that i changed my sim from my g1 to another phone, when i put it back in my g1 i could receive sms but not send, i change again of device to the other and it worked, but when i try to send sms from the g1 again i could not. I open details option of the sms that wasnt send and it said error 330 which i googled and find out it was the service number which change byitself, how can i change it back?i read there a hidden menu in htc magic so maybe g1 has the same hidden menu, i read that flashing spl radio or hboot again is worthless.

SMS Center Number - Can't find it?

Hello
I can't find where to set the SMS Center Number on my Mi A1 with 8.0.0 updated to latest May patch.
Any help?
Thanks.
Does anything happen with this code?
*#*#4636#*#*
Is there any field where you can enter smsc number?
Thanks for the reply.
No, I've already tried the code with no result.?
I'm looking for the field where to insert the number, indeed. It's the question of the post. ?

Varben gave you the correct answer.
Theres a field SMSC with two buttons update and refresh.
Press refresh to find current number.
Enter values and press update to change it.
It doesn't happen anything to my phone dialing that code.

I use this app to force lte. Its lightweight. It's just an app to launch that service/code.

Hi,
I used your advice, refreshed, got
my German O2 message center no., followed by ",145" returned, then
replaced the German by the UK O2 message center no., and left the ", 145".
Since then, I'm getting wrong format error.
What do I need to put in after the UK message center no.? Nothing?
Thanks for your help,
Peter

Sorry but why changing SMS center number?
It is stored on the SIM and normally it shouldn't be changed
Try finding an old phone and do the change there. Usually the message center is stored on sim.
