Hi all.
I have been experiencing weird functioning of the IM+ Instant messenger, on my Mango Omnia 7.
Even if I check the option "Receive the messages after program closes", I got the notification of message, but when I clicked on the IM+ icon, I got the app's splash screen, then "connecting" notification, and no notified messages! Why is that can't be connected constantly???
I thought that the multitasking was added since Mango...

excuse me but why you have to use im+ if mango has windows live messenger and facebook chat built in???
Well I use it because of gmail chat
And also, I use the ICQ protocol... The IM has everything, but does not function...
it looks sick with all those features!

So I've tried using the latest (albeit quite old) AOL Instant Messenger on WM5.0 and it doesn't like the soft buttons which renders the program useless. What are people out there using for AOL IM clients on WM5.0? I tried Agile Messenger, but you cannot check away messages with this software. Thanks for your suggestions!

ya ive had this problem...
ive looked into some diffrent messangers and fount that agile is the best,
not just for aim but you can login for many ims,
i also find the tabed messages useful,
but i do find that checking for away messages can be a pain, b/c u have to message the person,
but apart from others this is still the best i have found...
if any one else found a better messanger plz let me know
I have AIM UK pocket pc software, but i guess due to the difference in screen size the log in window doesn't appear. what app do people use to log into aim on the wizard

I think I'm gunna stick with agile.
Just out of intrest, wtf have microsoft done to messenger mobile?!?! Not only have they hidden in in 'msn pocket' (took me ages to find when drunk), but I can't find a way to make it so it doesn't gimme on screen notifications when I get a new message/contact online. I have about 150 contacts. It makes it unusable as it interupts me literally every 3 seconds when one of them goes online/offline/changes their name/sends me an IM.
Annoying.
I tried to use Agile and it said that all connections failed when I tried to connect to AIM. I am on a Cingular 8125 WM5 and my GRPS is working because I was just online.
Any thoughts?
hi all, recently i did a factory reset on my HD2 and updated myphone, windows live and facebook from marketplace.
i use mobile internet and am connected to facebook, msn messenger and get push email as well as gmail and yahoo via the email application.
ever since the update, the system hangs, or refuses to accept commands and i keep getting the error report regarding 'services.exe'. i have subsequently reset the device numerous time but the problem continues. messenger will log off saying 'wireless connection lost' and will not reconnect or sign out. the mail application from the homescreen will not allow me to click on a mail to open it, i have to go thru the inbox. facebook will not refresh and i keep getting the 'working' symbol in the middle of the screen.
any idea what is wrong and how it can be fixed??
its very irritating to restart the phone evey hour or two to get all the probrams working again.

i tried E-buddy but it is not getting instald..while it is getting instald thru midlet..it gives connection error..

I think there isn't, you could get the Windows messenger app instead of the web version, just search Google, that version is great, looks like pc and is fast.

also has twitter,yahoo,msn n more things but doesnt have facebook instant messenger service
for tht i use fim (facebook instant messenger)
fring needs u to register first
its free, so register a fring acc
im from india, gprs (edge) isnt very reliable here
if my connection goes, i dont know why but fring crashes
even fim crashes!

You can try also numbuzz. Its freeware , it can connect to Yahoo! , Skype, Aol, Windows live and much more. The only problem is that is kinda slow on my Touch.

yeah.. i agree. use parlinggo, i already try all but parlinggo is the best for chat.
Palringo is definitely the best. It also works with a push server, meaning your messages get received by the palringo servers and then sent back to you when you're available. This is particularly useful if you're using an unreliable data connection (IE: Third world country)
It would always crash on my elfin under winmo 6.0. But after I upgraded to the Onyx winmo 6.5 rom it works like a charm.
I cannot found IM.apk or IM native, cause i wanna use Yahoo Messenger from IM native, i've already tried Ebuddy (Sometimes the message haven't received), Meeboo (Problem connections), IM+ (Problem Connections, it makes active chat close)...

i'm using IM+, it works very well for me. IM+ Lite is free & also good
I installed the native im but every time I logged in , it would crash or something on me. I don't remember exactly what happened when I started it but I know it didn't work, so I ended up using ebuddy and haven't had any problems with it. Try msn droid.. that's my second favorite msn app.
i use meebo im.. it's sometimes get sign off automatically
but it's ok for me.. because no need to online all the time...
