Verizon Galaxy Nexus - Member-Found Deals

Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available on Amazon for $99! I think it's only for those who are opening a new line of service (might be applicable for renewing 2 year contracts, but not sure)
Check out the Amazon link:

Was just going to post this! I paid $199 a week ago, wish I had waited!

Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G/LTE pre-orders June 8th

http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/02/lte-galaxy-tab-10-1-gets-official-on-verizon-orders-start-june/
Info in the 4G GT 10.1 from Verizon. Pre-orders start June 8th, but no ship date mentioned yet.
"Verizon Wireless will offer two 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 models both priced with two year customer agreements: $529.99 for the 16GB model and $629.99 for the 32GB model. For more information on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, go to: www.verizonwireless.com/galaxytab4glte."
Price seems a bit high considering it's with a 2 year contract. Hmm..
And more importantly, the linked page gives some basic specs, but makes no mention of micro SD (was assuming the 4G version might have this if the Wifi one doesn't).
microSD Card slot please?
Will there be a microSD card slot w/ this 4G version? If so, curse you Verizon/Samsung for you have successfully wooed me away from the WiFi only version!
DANG IT!!

I would go ahead a say that the price is insanely too high. So basically you are required to get a 2 year contract with almost no subsidized price incentive.
So the Verizon has moved to the next level of how far they can push the bar in their favor. You are now required to have a 2 year contract with all of its ETF glory to even have the privilege of purchasing a Galaxy 10.1 at near full price from them.
Wow, how far we have come from the options of full price but no contract or almost free but 2 years required. Excellent. Now we can only hope for this to be soaked up by debut ridden folks quickly....
The following is basically assumptions and guesses on my part.
I'm assuming Verizon is subsidizing about $200 on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G (that is what they subsidized on the Xoom). And the off contract price for the 16GB model is $730.
That means you are paying $230 for the 4G modem.
The Motorola Xoom for example costs $800 for the 3G/4G model and $600 for the wifi model. So you are paying $200 for it's 3G modem with free 4G upgrade later.
So the 4G modem in the Galaxy tab is only $30 more compared to the Xoom and you won't have to go through the hassle of shipping your tablet in for a 4G upgrade.
Also there is the possibility the 4G model has micro SD, so that might also be while the 4G model costs a bit more.
So the price seems a bit high, but maybe there is a reason for it. Just wish these carriers would subsidize more than $200 on these tablets. And I don't get why these modems add so much to the price of a tablet in the first place.
The big question is whether Verizon is going to deface the device with their logo....
price is right in line with the xoom as the OP mentioned.
nobody said tablets were or had to be cheap.
ipad 2 - 32gb - att/verizon - $729

ONE DAY ONLY: $49.99 Galaxy S3 available from Best Buy on December 16: All Carriers!

"In case you still haven’t purchased a Galaxy S3, the best-sold Android handset to date and one of Samsung’s 2012 flagship products, you may want to do so tomorrow, as Best Buy is ready to offer you the device for just $49.99.
This isn’t the first time Best Buy is discounting the Galaxy S3, and just like before, the deal will be available for a limited time – in this case just this Sunday.
Naturally, in order to take advantage of the deal, you’ll still have to sign a new two-year agreement with the carrier of your choice – in this case either Verizon, AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile. What’s worth noticing is that this time around, Best Buy’s Galaxy S3 deal is available with any of the four main U.S. mobile operators.
While Android fans are already talking about the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S3 is still a great handset and definitely a great Christmas present, despite being just six months old, which is a lot in Android time
Are you buying the Galaxy S3 from Best Buy tomorrow, or are you looking for a different Android Christmas deal?"
